PB S'more: New from Ben & Jerry's (BJ's) for 2024, this flavor is meant to evoke thoughts of the classic campfire dessert with a peanut butter twist. The base ice cream is a toasted marshmallow that has chunks of peanut butter cups, graham cracker pieces, and marshmallow swirls. By itself, the marshmallow ice cream is a bit boring and comes off as a somewhat bland sweet flavor, but thankfully the inclusion of the signature BJ's gooey marshmallow swirls and other mix-ins alleviates this potential problem. Short tangent, this is similar to BJ's other delicious s'mores ice cream (Gimme S'more). The big difference is the marshmallow flavor shines more in PB S'more as in Gimme S'more it gets somewhat masked by the chocolate cookie flavor and omitted marshmallow swirl. Of the three flavors in PB S'more, I detected mostly marshmallow and graham cracker as the peanut butter cups are not as numerous as the graham cracker pieces and omnipresent marshmallow flavor. Although the peanut butter cups are sparser (there's still plenty) than the graham cracker pieces, when encountered they do tend to be larger chunks (a fair trade-off in my opinion). In fact, I found one peanut butter cup that was entirely intact and not simply a chunk (see picture). My only complaint is that my pint could have used a more predominant marshmallow swirl. The swirl appears lugubrious if it can even be seen at all. Those of you looking for a peanut butter ice cream might be slightly disappointed, but for s'mores lovers, this is nearly perfect. When you're in Vermont, one thing you have to do is visit the iconic Ben & Jerry's factory--and that's exactly what I set out to do. I arrived a bit later in the afternoon, so unfortunately, the guided tours were fully booked. But that didn't stop me from enjoying the experience. I took some time to walk around the grounds, soak in the fun and quirky atmosphere, and of course, treat myself to a giant scoop of Butter Pecan. It was absolutely delicious--rich, creamy, and everything you'd expect from Ben & Jerry's. Before leaving, I picked up a Ben & Jerry's t-shirt as a souvenir to remember the visit. Even without the tour, this spot is well worth the stop. Whether you're a lifelong fan or just in it for the ice cream, it's a fun and tasty destination not to miss. read more

If you're in Stowe or nearby in Vermont, you need to check this place out!! This little museum for icecream is SO cute, and there's surprisingly a lot to do. We walked through the flavor graveyard, read some history on the Ben and Jerry's factory, of course got some great ice cream, and had lots of fun photo opportunities! I honestly felt like the ice cream here was better than what you get in the store!! 10/10 read more

This is the scoop shop at the Smuggler's Notch resort, but the photos attached are for the factory experience, which this is not. The shop is small, in a basement, but the staff were friendly. Despite being so close to the factory location, it did not have the selection, likely due to being a smaller outlet. If you're at the resort, worth stopping by. read more

We love to go there with our grandsons in the summer. They love the activities and the ice cream. They love to make their tie dye t-shirts! They always have a great time! The service is great and they are always very friendly no matter how busy they are! They have a great gift shop as well. read more

What an awesome place for an ice cream store - inside the resort!  My family loved it so much, we had ice cream just about every night of our vacation.  Dangerous!!!  The servers were great...even when we came in 10 minutes before closing!  (Sorry!) I had my favorite, 'Sweet Like Sugar' every time.  I miss how fresh it tasted as compared to the grocery store pints (being that the actual B&J factory is only about 40 minutes away!).  It's a great spot to bring the kids for some ice cream on a hot summer resort night! read more

First off, I have to say I love this company and ice cream! Just amazing all around. I have never had an issue in all my years with eating the ice cream, until today. Unfortunately the ice cream can be expensive, but when you buy it you expect it to be exactly what you paid for. I bought the mint chocolate cookie. I didn't pay for plain mint ice cream I paid for what was labeled, but it absolutely did not contain ANY cookie. Extremely disappointed because that is the one part my baby girl will eat, and now she is upset because the "sharing" didn't work out in her favor. Very disappointed. This is a nice place to stop and enjoy ice cream while learning more about Ben & Jerry's and the general ice cream production process. The lines are outrageous on rainy days during the winter and hot days during the summer. You have the option to simply purchase from the gift shop or from the ice cream shop or you can join the tour. Tickets are $4/per person over the age of 12. It's about a half hour and details the production and manufacturing of ice cream. You learn more about how the company started and the social values behind the ice cream. It ends with a sampling of the ice cream. We tried the cookies and milk flavor which I would gladly purchase again in store. In addition, we finished our day there by participating in the Flavor Fanatic Experience. It is $175/per person for a more personalized experience. There is a photographer who follows you around and documents the experience while you actually make ice cream. This part is slightly uncomfortable as you're behind a glass panel which throngs of people watch you. If you're camera shy or shy in front of crowds like I am then this will be an interesting surprise. You'll otherwise have a guide go through the steps with you and make a 3.5 gallon box of ice cream to be used in the shop. For the price, I did not think this was worth the experience. I love ice cream and felt that this was the must do in the place to do it so I have no regrets. However, paying $175/ per person is a steep price and certainly does not encourage people to participate in this extra hour of work. read more

Oh, I was so disappointed last night ,I had bought a pint of vanilla and my all time favorite coffee heath bar crunch , (new name now-I don't care for the new name)I had the vanilla last night and was soooo disappointed it tasted like ice milk ,it was not even close to the quality that it used to be. I think I will not even open the coffee , I don't think that I want to tarnish my fond memories of that flavor. I live just 10 minutes from the Waterbury factory,and I have noticed some changes just driving past. Sad to say we weren't impressed. Parking is down low or up high so there are hills/steps to get in the factory. There is a drop off section but still a hill to get in. They do have a tiny elevator inside as you go to 2nd floor for tour. It is very tiny inside. It's a combination of tour tickets & their store items. They should organize tours from the ticket section bc it's clustered. Right outside is the ice cream store. Not impressed with portions. The tour itself has political views during the video they show. Although everyone has freedom of speech I didn't care to hear that on our tour. In the factory- they were cleaning! Not much fun to see. Our tour lady was extremely monotone. Possibly to be funny but I appreciate enthusiasm more. The best part was the decent sized free sample! The graveyard is cute too but also located up a hill. We made the 10:30 tour on a Monday and it was not that packed so parking was not difficult- thank goodness as we had to drop off and pick up my parents to Factory & to get up to graveyard. The only place where they give a tour is on highway 100 in Waterbury. It is well organized and a tour went every 10 minutes. Our tour guide was very funny and knowledgeable about the company. We were impressed at how environmentally friendly they are, from solar panels to using liquid from unused ice cream to flush their toilets. They gave a nice size sample of ice cream to everyone. They do have a gift store. It was pretty expensive and we just passed it by. An enjoyable part was going to the Flavor Graveyard. This is where the discontinued flavors are with very amusing headstones. P.S. Remember to check in on Yelp to get in free. One check in gets only one ticket. read more
