Great choice after ramen at Slurping Turtle! It's a classic for a reason. Great choices. I got chocolate brownie in a waffle bowl and turtle in a waffle cone. I'll be back to try more.

My half eaten butter pecan waffle cone. Couldn't help myself.

Oh how I love ice cream. I'm eventually working my way towards giving up diary completely, but until then I will enjoy! Getting ice cream here is more about the experience since this is the only location in Michigan. Especially being that you can go to literally any grocery store and get the exact same product. Anyway, I have visited Ann Arbor numerous times, especially the summer, yet I have never came to Ben & Jerry's. Well, in the dead of winter, I finally decided to stop in. There was only one other customer inside so I was glad there wasn't a line wrapped around Michigan Stadium. But why would anyone be crazy enough to be getting ice cream when it's 20 degrees outside. I am and it tasted delicious. I decided to get butter pecan because it's one of my favorites and I don't think I've ever had a scoop that I didn't like. The person at the register was friendly, and fast. I started eating my ice cream so fast that I didn't even remember to take a pic until halfway through lol. But I'll definitely stop by next summer.

Small (2 scoops) Bottom scoop is coconut Top scoop is the tonight show dough

Standard ice cream joint. Very cutesy and cartoony on the inside :D Ice cream was tasty. I got a small cup, one scoop of the tonight show dough (which I preferred) and one scoop of the coconut (still good though).

Easy, simple, and delicious. You really can't go wrong with Ben and Jerry's. They have so many flavors and a huge menu. It's a little expensive, but it's also downtown Ann Arbor so that's to be expected. The price of a small is the price of a whole pint at the grocery store. It's always a nice treat to have and you honestly can't go wrong with their ice cream!

I'm not sure why they don't advertise their cakes as much as other ice cream chains, but their cake was decent. You can pick the design, size, and two different flavors. Pickup was easy - they had it ready before our pickup time. I also like getting my usual small cup of cookie dough ice cream here. The flavor is always the best in-person.

If your in Ann Arbor during the spring and summer months it's hard to pass up this gem. I got the cookies & milk ice cream and it was amazing. I also tried the sweet cookies and cream that was ok. I would definitely check out the cookies and milk ice cream flavor you will not be disappointed over any of the other flavors.

Came in on a Sunday about 6pm. Shop clean and a lot of room to sit! Excellent....really good service from 2 students I'm sure that go to u of m. Very friendly and accommodating. My daughter had chocolate in a cup, said it was delish. I shared the brownie sundae with 2 scoops of ice cream (only comes with 1 but I got 2 scoops for an extra $1.25) - 4 of us were sharing. The two scoops of ice cream were so yum! Cookie dough and Ben & Jerry's famous milk and cookies. Will be back! Check out my picture of the sundae!

Personally Ben & Jerry's is an okay ice cream store. I feel like I have been to better and cheaper places. Since it is a chain the variety is limited and the waffle cones are way too sweet it gives me a stomach ache (sometimes). However, the place is clean and there are tables where you can sit (if there is room). Since it is on campus it is convenient but if I had the choice to drive 5 minutes off campus I would go to a different place.

This review is solely based on my experience at the shop. The ice cream itself was amazing as B&J's always is. The shop is in an old building downtown which is cool, but it's dirty. The employee was very helpful but did not appear to be knowledgeable about the ice cream. I received a prank call while at the store. Someone called the store's phone and asked for me by name. She told me she was the manager and then proceeded to say highly inappropriate things and use profanity. I left immediately and watched my back all the way to my car. I will buy my B&J's at the grocery store. I will not be back.

    By the pint!

Ben & Jerry's is of course all over the place but it just never gets old. I love their ice cream cakes, especially the ones with the brownie base. If you give them 24 hours they can make one with the ice cream flavors you wish. The owner is a bit overbearing and he embarrasses his workers all the time which I HATE. I think it's so rude and unprofessional and you just feel awful for the poor college kids who work there. Anyways, which flavors are good and which ones need recipe adjustments? -Cheesecake Brownie: eww! It tastes like molded milk with bits of brownies throughout. I don't think they got the cheesecake taste down. -Milk & Cookies: tastes like cookies and cream alright. -Red Velvet: disgusting. They haven't mastered the red velvet cake taste yet. Just tastes like nasty cake mix--but not red velvet-flavored. -Banana Split: there are chunks of frozen banana and strawberries which are kind of weird but the fudge sauce is yummy and decadent throughout. You really taste the bananas and everything else comes more as an aftertaste. -Chocolate Peppermint Crunch: mmm, it's basically decadent chocolate ice cream with chocolate peppermint crunch balls that burst with flavor. Yum! -New York Super Fudge Chunk: I'm a fan. The walnuts and almonds are delicious and mixed with the white fudge throughout--yum! This has a wonderful crunch, yet creamy texture. -Phish Food: there's something about the marshmallows that just make this heavenly. I'm not a fan of marshmallows but it adds to the creaminess, and the crunchy fish with caramel that bursts out make for an ice cream candy bar mix. -Half-baked: chocolate and vanilla ice cream with cookie dough and fudge brownies. While the brownies are on the dry side, the cookie dough is lovely--very creamy and sugary. -Chocolate Fudge Brownie: I adore the chocolate ice cream this has. It's so creamy and decadent. The brownies are a bit dry but they add a nice contrast to the rich creaminess. FINAL VERDICT: It's a bit over-priced, okay, a lot overpriced, but their ice cream is good--especially in brownie sundae form.

While they do have some rotating specials on their menu, they also have sandwiches, salads and desserts that are always on the menu. My go-tos are their menu are: Grilled Tempeh Sandwich - marinated with sesame and teriyaki (I think) and then grilled. It's served with a cucumber slaw, some kind if sauce, and on grilled bread. I like it best with an egg on it (additional charge) Roasted Vegetable salad - Roasted root vegetables tossed with a balsamic vinaigrette and goat cheese - enough for two or more! Chocolate pudding - decadent and flavorful I wish they had more vegetarian options than just their tempeh sandwich and eggplant sandwich on their menu. I also wish they offered a more substantial vegetarian entree on their rotating menu. It's usually just a pasta dish with some kind of in-season vegetable. I usually skim over that section if nothing really stands out. Fair warning: a lot of their items do sell out so if you're hoping for something and it's later in the day, you might out of luck! The prices are reasonable, but it can add up if you get a lot of items on there. The space itself is very small so while they have some seating in there, it's better to order carry out and pick up the food to take home.

We selected The Moveable Feast to cater my daughter's Bat Mitzvah in the midst of a global…read morepandemic, and they did an extraordinary job. Why did we choose The Moveable Feast? Well, because our congregation had a small list of approved caterers, and my daughter wanted one thing for the big celebration: a chocolate fountain. As luck would have it, The Moveable Feast has a chocolate fountain front and center on its website, so they were the obvious choice. The only other thing the Bat Mitzvah Girl wanted was bagels and cream cheese, which is her favorite food and pretty much impossible to mess up. Especially when the caterer agrees to source the bagels from Zingerman's Bakehouse. But one needs more for a luncheon than just bagels, cream cheese, and a chocolate fountain. That is where Misty Rose entered the picture. She got what we were going for and helped to round out the rest of the menu. I was told we had to get the whitefish as it was a signature dish of the company, and that was a great call. The pastrami spiced smoked salmon was tasty too. Having grilled vegetables was a fantastic idea as well. If I were to have TMF cater another event I might skip the red pepper hummus, the beet and quinoa salad, and the frittata. I make all of these things at home on the regular, and not to brag, but mine are better. However, those each served a role in the buffet, which on the whole was well received. Where The Moveable Feast shined brightest was its staff. They were extraordinary! Misty for both her flexibility and her patience in dealing with a father who was planning an event at the earliest stages of Omicron. Misty also directed me to A1 Rentals and helped to come up with several floor plans to make a 20' x 40' tent feel like a celebratory space. Plus the event staff were simply heroic, setting up the tent while I was at the ceremony and having everything ready by the time our guests arrived. Everyone who braved traveling to Michigan in December amidst a growing pandemic had a great time. The bartender roaming around pushing mimosas certainly helped. As did the tent heaters, which TMF helped to get back online when one wasn't working. They called up the rental company and made sure A1 brought over a new one. Plus the TMF crew even helped to spread out some straw when the lawn got sloppy thanks to the unexpected ice storm. If you've read down this far, you might be asking yourself, "So why only four stars?" Well, if you recall, the critical components of this event were a chocolate fountain, bagels, and cream cheese. The chocolate fountain was everything the guest of honor had hoped for... and maybe more. But somehow, the caterer forgot to bring the cream cheese. And a bagel without cream cheese is like a hug without the squeeze. I know that's not actually how the line goes. Still... it's close. My personal belief is that a business is best defined by what happens when something goes wrong. In this case, their first offer was to simply not charge me for the food they didn't bring. That was not terribly satisfying. Ultimately, the resolution was a sum that was roughly equivalent to the mimosas which helped make our adult guests happy despite the omission. I appreciated the gesture, but would have preferred an outcome that did not feel as transactional. You know, like a tray of sweets, or an "I'm sorry" cake. I know I'm weird about this, but money feels kinda dirty. Although at some point it's best to just take the offer and move on. Which is exactly what I did. Would I work with The Moveable Feast again? Absolutely! Would I recommend them to anyone who asks? You bet. Would they work with me again? I certainly hope so. We had a tremendous amount of leftovers, which included a few pounds of smoked salmon and multiple pints of whitefish. We were even able to salvage some of the ambrosial nectar from the chocolate fountain. More importantly, thanks to TMF we were able to pull off a successful event in the face of some abysmal conditions. I mean... on top of everything a last minute ice storm? And despite being down a person, they did it all with a smile. Bravo!

He and his team were also nice enough to deal with my belatedness in putting down a deposit and giving my input on the menu (thank you!) I divided our group into teams and we were each given a basket of produce, a few types of meat, and were all directed to choose a carb to pair with our meals. Then it was 1 1/2 hours of cooking as we pleased! It was great since the group had a range of cooking experience, so some people could cook on their own direction, and others could ask for help from the chef team and get advice on techniques and timing. At then end Andrew and his team tasted each dish, picked a few different winners, and then we sat down to eat everything, all which turned out delicious!
