I've long eyed this small 'Lebanese' resto and I finally made my way to Resto Arousse…read more Pros : - The garlic sauces were really good. Very strong taste and we enjoyed it a lot! - Fries were just right! Very tasty. Decent portion. - A modern look to the resto, it surprised us initially but we liked it. Cons : - Service seriously left to be desired, we were left on our own for long stretches of time. It wasn't overly busy and we at a time emptied our water glasses and waited 20+ minutes for a refill... comon!! We didn't bother for dessert as service took too long. - I've had better cuts of meat elsewhere. If it wasn't for the tasty intense garlic, it would have been a miss for me. - For the price-tag, I don't think we got our value's worth. Not a lot of meat in our shared plate and very little substance to justify the price tag.

We went on Friday night and it was a pretty empty but I heard it can get pretty party up in there! This place has a lot of potential. There's a huge dance floor and a terrace outside too. We shared the grilled octopus, the fried calamari, the fried zucchini, saganaki, Greek assuages cut up and a salad for entree. Everything was good but my two favorites were the fried zucchini and the calamari. Honestly I've had better grilled octopus elsewhere. Then we shared a main of steak cut into pieces and the bass. I enjoyed the steak but I felt the bass was bland. It needed salt for sure. Maybe it was an off night because the couple we went with said usually they love the fish. I'm not really a fish person though and its rare that I order fish unless it's sushi or tatare or ceviche. We also had a side of potatoes and white asparagus. Damn the white asparagus was so good! I pretty much ate them all myself!! For dessert we had the loukoumades which are deep fried balls glazed with honey. It was good but I was so full that I only ate one and didn't even try the other dessert we ordered.

We were walking around Plateau Mont Royal and felt like having a brunch someplace and you know…read morewhat? Right at the corner of Saint-Laurent and Mont-Royal there was a Allo mon coco and it is quite recognisable with just a glance at the storefront and inside decor. First of all, this place is popular so expect it to be crowded, every time I went to one of them on a weekend day, I had to wait a bit before getting seated. The seating at this location is especially cramped as I was almost shoulder to shoulder with the tables next to me. There's no ambiance music playing but it can get quite loud as everyone is seating near each other and tries to speak with their party. Onto the food, I had the Coco Casserole which consisted of potatoes mixed with swiss cheese, bacon, sausage and ham with an egg on top. Everything on that plate was delicious but I do wish the portion were sightly bigger considering the 16$ price tag that is attached to the plate. Forgot to mention that the service was quick once we were seated, I think it took less than 10 minutes after ordering to get out food so there's that also to consider if you see a lineup upon entering the place. It can move quite fast. Great place, y'all should try this place. Its worth a stop.

I don't care if it's at an upscale restaurant or someone's garage. Great food still remains great food. The thing that comes with a ridiculous hefty price is that it comes with a lot of expectations and I'm confident enough to say that some of you may have experienced a hefty bill while leaving with disappointment. We've all been there, and I can certainly relate. The amazing story about L'Entre-Pots is that @mtlpancakequeen was looking to build her database for pancakes and aiming to find the best ones in the city. Opened since 2011, Alexandre Beaudry and his team not only excel in customer service (which we all know, something that I profoundly value) but also care about the sense of family amongst the staff members. L'Entre-Pots offers catering services, breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner- I mean pretty much whenever you're hungry. While the weather still allows it, they also have an extended terrace for those who want to enjoy their meal in the sun with a mimosa. While I also have been a guest during their popup and collaboration project, I can only consistently vouch for their brunch menu for at least the handful of time I've been there. Thank you to @mtlpancakequeen for introducing me this place- It had allowed me to showcase L'Entre-Pots talent to other followers and friends while hopefully creating more traffic to local businesses. While there is a ridiculous high demand for avocados for all you avocado basic bitches, I'm sure many of you have noticed the skyrocketing prices of these bad boys. I mean, if you do the groceries. But the price doesn't stop me from ordering the avocado toast at L'Entre-Pots. Served with salmon gravlax, feta cheese, dill yoghurt, and topped with a poached egg? They also have smoothies, your usual espresso selection like lattes, mimosas, and more. I highly recommend coming before noon. Around that time the place begins to become packed and it's a small spot. Seating is kind of smushed. I've seen groups of 6 before, 7 or more may be pushing it. Le Vegan is good, think some other gluten would be better with this Shashuka dish for me, but had a few bites of ye baguette.
