Not my first time here but it will definitely be my last which is sad because they are probably the only decent nail salon near me and it's a 40 minute drive. I love the staff but today I walked in at 9:40am was put in a chair at 11am and soaked my feet until 12:29 until I finally dried it off and walked out. If you decide to come here with or without an appointment be ready to waste half your day waiting. Came for birthday nails walked out feeling uglier than when I walked in. Ofc they were short staffed and had appointments but why put me in a chair if you weren't going to service me within 30 minutes. A hidden gem. Bemiss Nails is tucked away in a small shopping center across the Walmart Neighborhood Market and next to Pizza Quick. This cute and chic salon was one of the best in Valdosta. The staff are very courteous and make you feel comfortable as you walk through the door. They have a large selection of services along with an enormous selection of polish colors and powders. Once they bring you back, they offer a beverage of your choice. Soft drinks, water, mimosa or wine. They take the extra time to get your nails looking meticulous and do not make you feel rushed. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I brought my daughter and her friend to this location and the lady says in a rude manner, "one of yall come on!!" STRIKE 1 and the guy that works here was supposed to do my daughter nails acted like he had a problem with her wanting curve nails. So she decided to go somewhere else. This is my second time going to bemiss nails. The shop is very cute. You are offered a drink and then the nail tech asked to try something new due to my real nails thinning out from the acrylic. She explained in detail and explained pricing etc. they came out beautiful! I will def be returning again. read more

I decided to try this nail salon due to the proximity of my residence, but I will NOT be returning after my first visit. I received dip nails (a basic nail service) and they started chipping two days later. I had to return twice within 3 days for two repairs and nails continued to chip so I gave up on returning due to my busy schedule. It was NOT worth the 47 bucks, nor repeated trips. My gel manicure that I had previously lasted longer with zero chips at another local salon. read more

Gave two stars because of the vibe and my nails were beautiful when I left. Two days later big toe nail fell off while on trip to Texas then day later of big toe fell completely off like clean. Anthony did do new big toes, but for the three nails that were left of they tried to nail glue back rather than properly shaving down then applying more acrylic. My finger is now glued to the nail. I called my nail tech back home and she said the nail was not properly dried out to be lifting less than a week after getting them done. Bemiss nails told me they were letting because I was hitting them too much but I explained to them I'm not back at work and have not been typing. Cool vibe but I will not be back after spending $140 and tipping $20 and having a nail glued back together on my hand is tacky. They seemed nice but service is not what I'm used too. read more

The service I received here was beyond my expectations! The quality of service from the employees blew me away I was catered to and made sure I was good while they were busy and I was waiting. Massage chairs drinks and friendly staff is always the way to go if you want your customers to feel pampered and cared for. This cute little place is definitely a hidden gem for sure! It's so luxurious inside and comfortable it's small but seems roomy and very nice! Now for the part we all go for, our nails wax jobs or feet. I went for my nails and man did they do a wonderful job! Very gentle took their time prices are amazing and asked me to look over my nails before paying to be sure im happy with them! read more

I DO NOT RECOMMEND. I came in for a gel polish color change. The nail tech tried to talk me into a fill in. I just got a new set less than a week ago. I just needed a plush change for my job fair. Well that was pointless. These are my pictures from the next day.... at the job fair. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I want a refund but they are not open again until Tuesday and I have to head home this evening. I've lost my $20 and the $5 tip I gave the nail tech out of the manners my Grandmother gave me. read more

My experience here was absolutely awful. I'd rate it 0 stars if I could. I have been going to Nails By Chris in Valdosta since I was in high school and I LOVE them. But this particular morning, two of my nails had broken off, the polish was almost all gone, and it was a Sunday. Nails by Chris is closed on Sundays and I couldn't go to work will my nails in this big of a mess. So I came here. Horrible decision. Here's why my experience was so negative: 1. I was getting my acrylic nails filled with gel polish put on top. Pretty easy process. I had plans to do other errands that day. Forget it. I walked into the salon at 3:30. I didn't leave until 5:15! That's way too long to be in for such a simple task in my personal opinion. 2. They are horribly understaffed. The place was full of customers and they only had two nail techs working. It is a small salon, but there were 2 pedicure stations, and 3 nail stations completely empty. 3. Because they are so understaffed and the place was busy, they operate on a very strange assembly-line like operation. I sat down In The chair and the tech filled my acrylic and shaped my nails, then actually left me sitting there while he moved to the next costumer and did the same with her, and then he left her and came back to me. He didn't even wash his hands in between handling me and her, which is odd to me for sanitary reasons. 4. Because they are constantly jumping back and forth between customers they are very rushed to get you finished, which results in poor customer service and rough looking nails. By the time he was done, my nails were not the same shape, the color wasn't even close to the one I picked out, not enough coats of polish were put on, and they were way too long for my liking. If I'm going to be in a nail salon for almost two hours I expect GOOD nails. 5. I'm a pretty observant person, and let me tell you: this salon plays favorites. If you are one of their regulars, they will call you by your name, spend extra time with you, treat you like royalty, and you'll leave with amazing nails. But if you're a random walk in, they have only one thing in mind: Finish your service as fast as possible, take your money, and rush you out the door ASAP. So, long story short, this was my first and last time stepping foot into Bemiss Nails. Don't let the nicely decorated inside and the high end technology fool you. The place is horribly run, poor operation and execution, and by the time you leave, you will be disappointed. Worst $30 Ive ever spent. Next time I'll just have my nails look like the hot mess express until I can go back to my trusted Nails by Chris. read more

I went here for the first time because it's close. The woman who did my nails picked me out a new color that I didn't love, but I felt obligated to use it. My fault in not using my voice. She then put in her ear buds and sang while she did my nails. I had to come home and refile my nails because the gel was so messed up. I would never go back! read more

I love going here. Everyone is very friendly and the place is clean. I have had gel and regular nail polish applied on my hands & toes. Both have stayed on long enough that my nails start growing out too long. There was only one time that I wasn't totally happy with the gel finish but it was on one fingernail. So I let it go. Overall, through my experiences I would recommend this place to other people. Also, when I went here during my 2nd & 3rd trimesters, I was always helped up or down from the pedicure chairs and they always made sure I had enough water. read more

Will Not Recommend!!!! My first time trying them , because the salon I use to go to Close for the Covid - 19 satuation. But I need one nail fix . so I take my chances with them Virus going around. They move from one customer to an other customer DID NOT WASH THEIR HANDS, that was Coughing all the time while working on them, also sneeze then wipes on the customer chair, the man in ties did not even clean, or disinfecting the chair and try to put me in the same chair . That's how the virus and germ can spread . so i stood up and left. This place just money hungry , just try to get customer in and not think about a customer health can get sick and bring it home to the family . read more

We just moved here from Hawaii and today was my first manicure and pedicure at A & C nails. I was very satisfied! Anthony got me in on very short notice, was friendly & professional. The shop was quiet, clean, and the massage with mani/pedi service was so relaxing I absolutely felt like a new woman afterwards. Went while waiting on my child to get off work. I don't live here. Staff was dressed in shirt and tie/ slacks and heels. Nice touch. I got the best foot massage during my pedicure!! The wait wasn't horrible but couldn've been faster, as they only had 2 people doing nails and 2 doing pedis. The setup was nice, each nail station having it's own client controlled TV, but I also noticed half drank sodas at almost every station (I assume client drinks). Never will I EVER GO BACK. Drove 20 minutes from Valdosta because of their high ratings. I asked for the guy to clean the side of my toenails that didn't happen and the paint job looked like a 2 year old did them. I also paid for SNS which typically last me three weeks when I go see my technician in Statesboro - Not at Bemiss' lasted 5 days and started peeling off. Never going back ever!!! First visit was great but then my nails kept popping off. I went back and they fixed it for free however that one popped off again. When I went to another nail place they found fungus under that nail. Out of all these years getting my nails done I have never had fungus. Obviously someone did not clean something. read more

I DO NOT RECOMMEND this salon. I would give a lower score if the system would allow me to. I won't go into details but I'll sum it up by saying the owner (Asian Male) is rude, prejudice, obnoxious, condescending, arrogant and did I say PREJUDICE...just making sure. I went because someone gave me a gift certificate and after that experience, I'll never go back, even if it's free. I received another gift certificate for my birthday months ago and haven't used it. Shortly after starting my pedicure, I attempted to have a conversation with him and he told me that he's not here to talk to me, just to do my feet...ok. Later as we talked, he eluded to how ignorant Black people are and how women should only do what men tell them to do. I was outdone. Oh, the service wasn't good at all. DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON!!! I repeat do NOT go to this salon!!! On my way from the base, I stopped at this salon to have my nails done and I requested a sqaure round shape with gel nail polish. The first nail tech to do my nails was a woman with glasses and when she finished, my nails looked like folded double mint chewing gum. When leaving, I was stuck with paying $35 for nails that looked like red depressed marbles after the guy in the tie so called "fixed them". To top this, he was very rude with an attitude and told me once I left my nails were my problem. By this time, Im pissed and advised him that Id pay for the services I receieved to present and I can go to my usual salon to have my nails done right. Then he was sooo apologetic and insisted I let him fix my nails!!‍‍I am severly pissed. I guess this is what I get for not driving across town to my usual nail salon. NEVER AGAIN!!! read more
