I ordered a full-size tres leches cake with the expectation of getting what they sell by the slice. When people started eating the cake everyone immediately asked what happened to getting a tres leches cake because that's what everyone was expecting, especially my son because tres leches was his choice of cake for his birthday. I took a bite myself and realized the taste & texture was that of a regular cake. It was most definitely NOT a tres leches cake. I took the cake back to let them know I did not receive a tres leches cake. The employees were adamant that it was. They said it just wasn't moist because I didn't ask for it. Sorry, but a tres leches cake is a tres leches cake & anytime I've ordered one from different places I received what I asked for. I let them know I did not know I was supposed to let them know I wanted a moist tres leches cake and the person who took my order didn't mention at the time my order was placed. You'd think that would be something they'd let their customers know. They said they can't make the big cakes like their individual slices they sell because the milk from the cake would run out of the container. They did not offer a refund or to fix it. I know it's because they feel they sold me the correct thing and they did nothing wrong. I left the cake there and left. It sucked paying $40 for a cake and having a certain expectation just to be let down. I went to them because they are a small business, close to home, and because I've had their individual slices of tres leches cake and it was good. read more
