Also with proof of postage, the receipt tends to be printed with the postcode and house number, at this branch they hand write these on, which makes them next to useless! A practice i am yet to see at any other branch! I would recommend any other branch over this one!

It's small but quite spacious inside, and it's all spotlessly clean and tidy. Staff are very friendly and professional, and on the three occasions I've been there they've always been chatty, probably because I've always been lucky and never had to queue! There isn't a massive selection of stuff to buy but there are the usual cards, postal supplies etc.

Parking outside is limited and can, on occasions, be very busy. The only time I've had to wait a long time in a queue was when a coachload of American tourists were visiting, buying souvenirs and postcards.

As well as postal services they sell the usual range of cards and stationery they sell milk, bread and eggs - handy as there isn't another shop in the village. Only complaint is the eggs - I think they're under the impression that because the box says 'fresh' they're free range. They're not! Other than the egg problem my only minor niggle is that there isn't a lot of space and service can sometimes be a little slow, but that all adds to the charm of the place. I'd recommend using it to anyone passing that neck of the woods.

It's a little shop as well, so you can pick up essential groceries (such as chocolate) while you're there. There's parking available at the front although it can be a little awkward as it's on a main junction but generally people will let you through (there's keep clear signs on the road, but they're often ignored). This is only minutes from Robin Hood Airport so it's handy for any last minute essentials before you fly.

I'm giving it 2 stars: one as it's clean and tidy, the second because it's usually quiet. But there's a reason for this: I reckon that people are too scared to go there! I know I am. I was as good as told I was lying when I had already written the weight on my customs label (How do I know you've written the correct weight on it? Why wouldn't I?!!!) and I got a right telling off too for taking something off the scales too soon. Perhaps slightly paranoid as it is beside a prison and they're under the impression everyone is a criminalwho knows!
