Small vilage Post Office located on the main road which has been there probably since the dawn of time and always manages to survive the latest round of Post Office closures.
Its exactly what you'd expect from the village post office - its run by a husband and wide team who have been in situ for as long as I can remember, they're always polite and friendly, and they know most people by name. As you might imagine, theres a Post Office counter which performs all the services of a regular Post Office. In addition to this theres another counter where you can buy an assortment of both the useful and the useless - sweets, cans of drink, greetings cards and various kinds of stationary are sold here.
Its a little cramped in there - especially on pension day when the local pensioners fight it out amongst themselves to be first in the queue to get their money, and it still survives probably solely because of the Post Office counter, but its the kind of place the village would miss if it wasnt around any more. read more
