I we as very happy with the delivery time and the variety on their menus. Driver was very friendly. My mom Wasn't feeling well and neither was I so I didn't feel up to cooking and I remembered we used to order from here at my old job. My mom just had egg drop soup and rice and I got mixed veggies with rice . My mom said her soup was very good.. I was a tad disappointed with my mixed veggies. They were cooked perfectly and the sauce on the side was delicious. However, it was 95% broccoli not even one Snow Pea. I like variety in my mixed veggies. The prices were very fair. I would order again I noticed afterwards that they have vegan drumsticks so I definitely want to try that read more

Belmont Dragon - Wings and rice yummy - Chinese Near Me - Haledon, New Jersey

it's amazing food! definitely recommend when you haven't had food the whole day, I didn't get lunch at school today and this filled me up a lot. The lady at the desk is really nice too! The restaurant has some good seating and lighting as well! The shrimp fried rice with half chicken is DIVINE! Eat here! read more

So once or twice a year I get this really crazy urge to have Chinese food and this year it happened a couple of weeks ago. I found this place through Yelp and I was not disappointed! This is the only Chinese restaurant that doesn't not make me feel sick. I had my regular Tso Chicken with pork fried rice and two egg rolls and tostones on the side which were all so good! The only thing was you have to wait an extra 20 minutes from the time they say to come pick up, it's worth it honestly especially if it doesn't get me sick. I'll be back in probably 6 months, haha! read more

This was always my go to place. But WOW. Something has changed. The shrimp toast was burnt, the sweet and sour chicken tasted freezer burned. The egg rolls were soft and oilly. The general TSO chicken was sub par. VERY DISAPPOINTING AND WILL NOT BE ORDERING AGAIN. read more

This place is absolutely horrible, was going to them for over 2 yrs. I ordered shrimp and broccoli and got chicken and broccoli . Worker was very unprofessional started yelling and speaking over after I explained that he had submitted wrong order. after waiting over an hr for food . Wanted to take food back and on too wanted me to wait an additional 40 min and charge me a difference . Absolutely unacceptable will never order from here again . Customer service is horrendous ! read more

Belmont Dragon - a takeout container with rice, broccoli, and chicken - Chinese Near Me - Haledon, New Jersey

Just ordered last night. Food was just okay but they must have just recently raised their prices which I am okay with, but they also made the combination sizes smaller. The container is noticeably smaller than it was just a few weeks ago. That is a really crappy thing to do to your customers. We will not be ordering from here again. read more

Ordered from here yesterday after a night of drinking. My friend suggested this place to me because this is where she orders from on a regular basis. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken with pork fried rice combination. The food arrived withing about a half hour of ordering still hot. There is a $10 minimum for delivery so make sure you are aware. The delivery guy has a attachment to his phone so you can pay with credit card. The chicken was a little soggy by the time it got to me which is expected but wish they vented the lid to eliminate some of that condensation that built up. I won't hold it against them though. Still willing to come back and try different items. read more

Ordered food for my family family, sweet and sour chicken was basically just bread, rib tips had no RIB, just tip and our iced tea tastes like dirty rap or mop water. I called and tried to be nice and the kid on the food was giving me attitude and started laughing. Basically saying that's how homemade iced tea tastes and he's refusing to refund the order. I called my bank to dispute the charges, let's see this place try to fight this. ALSO* I've ordered from this place countless times in the past, so don't think I'm some naggy first time customer. Don't eat here read more

Belmont Dragon - Disgusting sweet and Sweet & Sour Chicken that was mainly just burnt crisp and no chicken - Chinese Near Me - Haledon, New Jersey

I contracted food poisoning from the sweet and sour shrimp I ordered on May 22. I am a nurse and was called into work the next day for several emergency surgeries and I had to leave my patient to vomit several times. I was sent home and besides feeling like crap I lost a lot of money. I will never ever order from Belmont Dragon ever again!!!!! read more

Horrible it has been bad I don't know if they changed the cooks but a chicken and broccoli can't be done so badly and tasteless and it was maybe they changed owners read more

I've been going here for years and the food never fails. Their ice tea is really good

This was my first visit to Belmont Dragon. It was a Saturday at 12pm. It's your typical Chinese take out place. I ordered the Paradise Chicken. I ate at one of the three tables in an otherwise empty area although one table was used for holding office supplies. However, the phone rang non-stop with orders. The front desk lady was fluent in English which is sometimes a rarity and a plus. I enjoyed my meal while watching CNN on television and listening to a chef serenade me from the kitchen. Well, maybe not to me but it was good music nonetheless. read more

Extremely disappointed in this place. We've ordered many times and although the food is decent theres often things that tick me off like they send me 1 soya sauce and 1 duck sauce when we ordered 4 meals, or they send us the wrong soda. One time they gave my neighbors my order. But tonight my chicken wings looked horrible the meat was dark red inside and the top had a weird texture. So i called the restaurant hoping they would replace my wings, but unfortunately the guy refused to have the delivery guy replace my wings. When I told him that i was hoping he would value my business he said that there wasn't anything he could do. So that being said i will never order from them again. read more

My husband and I tried this place for the first time, as it was closest to us and we had a Chinese food craving. We ordered the Dumplings, General Tso's chicken, and Kung Pao Chicken. The Dumplings and General Tso's was good. My husband and I differed, he believes he had way better elsewhere. I didn't like the Kung Pao at all. There were too many veggies, no spice and barely any chicken. The chicken was slimy and very thinly cut, I couldn't even eat it. So I ended up having just the Dumplings and some of my husbands General Tso's. We probably won't be going back, since we are big foodies. read more

Well, this was a mistake! After a doctor's appointment I searched for Chinese restaurants for a take out. This place got four stars. I ordered something simple: Scallion pancakes and steamed pork dumplings. The only thing scallion pancakes had in it was the name "scallion". No scallions. Pancakes were burnt. The dumplings had a thick gummy dough and the dipping sauce had a syrupy taste, no ginger. I took a chance on a place not local to me and it failed. I'm glad I didn't waste a lot of money. Sorry, not going back. read more

They take FOREVER to deliver now a days. They shouldn't say 30 - 40 minutes for the delivery to arrive because that's not accurate. It takes them an hour or more to deliver which is ridiculous. Today will be the last time I order for delivery from Belmont Dragon!!! At least call me and tell me you are on your way and you're running late! An hour to freaking deliver is just RIDICULOUS!!!! The excuse is ALWAYS oh we have a new driver, well maybe you should stick with the same guy so this won't keep happening. read more

Belmont Dragon - They started slacking!!! The tostones are ridiculously small. That's a shame. - Chinese Near Me - Haledon, New Jersey

Typically I only order from New Chef King, but my family has been getting their Chinese fix from this establishment lately. Since I hadn't had that regular, greasy, MSG-laden Chinese in some time, I called in a delivery this afternoon. I went with my old standard, chicken w/mixed vegetable with white rice. Food arrived very hot in about 40 minutes, no napkins, but forks and plenty of sauces you never use more than one of, if at all (soy and duck). I guess we didn't hit the minumum order, since we didn't get the can of soda w/it. The chicken was tasty and the vegetables were fresh. I like they even call you a few minutes before they pull up so you can meet them at the door. Overall, I see why my family goes here, and if I'm back home, I'll make it a point to get this again. read more

There are so many Chinese food restaurants to choose from , but the problem being is that the majority aren't too good and especially clean . Belmont used to be great, not anymore! Order one thing get another and that is disappointing! The fried food is soggy and items like General Tso's or Sesame chicken are more flour than actual meat! My last order was taken without care over the phone so they delivered wrong items and then they call offering to discount the soda! They should have given a better apology so here goes another customer that wont buy here anymore. Belmont Dragon is done, no more what it used to be!!! read more

I'm not going to lie. This place used to be my favorite ever since it opened up not too long ago. As of late, the restaurant has slipped with the service and quality of food. The last time I ordered from here, my food was undercooked and arrived in a torn bag. I was ready to pay with my card, but the delivery man could not swipe it. I brought down another card since he insisted my card was the issue. (As I stood there waiting for minutes, this man swiped my card 20+ times nearly breaking it with the force he used). I use my card everyday, my card was not the issue. I was so fed up, luckily I had cash lying around in the house. My dumplings were also pretty raw. I didn't want to give up on a restaurant that I've appreciated so I ordered again tonight. ...my egg foo young was semi raw AND I was given the combination meal, thus one patty short. Gee thanks for making the meal awkward to see who will eat the egg foo young. Meanwhile, they charged for the meal. read more

Just now, I had bad experience with this chinese restaurant..I dont have the menu and today is Friday No meat because of the Lent Season.. So, the woman I spoke too she is so mean.. I think I just found my favorite Chinese food place. They give you so much quantity and the food was really tasty! They also gave me a lot of sauce packets and extra soy sauce. I'm really not sure why anyone would leave a bad review. Sure it took 40 min but that's expected with any delivery order. Actually I think that's the fastest I've ever gotten food. I'll definitely be ordering again. read more

I really love a good hole in the wall Chinese place. Reason being, I grew up in a town with a LOT of competition in the Chinese department. Neighboring towns, my town... Chinese GALORE. Honestly, one place took the gold for me. Not anymore.... Belmont Dragon is absolutely amazing. The luxury of being able to order off their "diet menu" which basically consists of sauce-less (sauce on the side so you control the calorie intake) and steamed cooked dishes is truly a blessing and a massive plus. Sometimes I want a Chinese food fix! WE COULD ALL USE A CHINESE FOOD FIX ONCE IN A WHILE. And with Belmont, you can without all the sugary calories. The reason I waited so long to review was because I hadn't tried their good ol' fashion classics (including all the extra calories) until recently. Egg rolls, their Lo Mein, their General So.... well well well... Boy do they rock these dishes. Lastly, Belmont Dragon is also incredibly consistent. They don't pack your chicken and broccoli with ALL broccoli. They have a heavy hand on the protein and don't skimp. If you're in the area trying to find good hold in the wall Chinese, this is it. read more

if i could give this place 0 stars i would. Customer service is bad, they have bad attitudes and they use foul language. Food is never up to the standard chinese food should be. Ordered an iced tea & before taking a sip i caught a smell of some kind of cleaner like for mopping floors or cleaning counters. Took a sip anyways and tasted just like it smelled, not sure if they use the same tap water they clean with or if they really don't care what is given to customers. Food was too tough to eat. Other food in the order was overcooked. This place isn't what it used to be. You're better off ordering from chef king garden on haledon ave. read more

I ordered the General Tso's Chicken which you would think would be pretty safe. Then, my friend ordered the Fried Doughnuts which she shared with me. The chicken was good, my trick is to always order extra sauce on the side. The doughnuts I must say were amazing. After I ate, however, a couple hours later I started to feel really sick. I don't exactly know if it was doughnuts or the chicken but something made me sick. read more

Needed a fast meal delivered the day I moved into my new place (yesterday)....Belmont Dragon far exceeded my expectations on many levels....the customer service over the phone was exceptional as far as food take out places go, but really good for any type of restaurant or business. friendly, took the time to explain how they work. So far so good! "Had to change from the place on Haledon Ave "chef king". The New owners can't compare to the old ones. The food isn't close to what I was used too! Because of this I had to give somewhere different after multiple issues with the food from that place." The food has been consistent and good. the people that answer the phone are nice and pleasant and easy to deal with. This is a big deal when it comes to Chinese places. I have placed many orders from here and I have never had bad service with this place until today. Normally, I order from here and I give them my card over the phone and it is delivered to me with no problem. Since I am in college, I sometimes don't have access to my card, depending where I am, so I keep a picture of my card on my phone for when I order food. However, today when I called the man over the phone was very rude. As I was placing my order, he was very rude, rushing me to hurry up with my order. After I made my order, he began to rush me off the phone and state that I couldn't pay with my card until the delivery man came. I asked how he would take my card when he got here and got no answer. The man proceeded hang up on me without giving me any context on how I would be able to pay. When I called back, to see how I could pay for my food, I was screamed at. When I asked to speak to the manager or someone else who worked there, he yelled "I AM THE MANAGER" and proceeded to hang up on me again. I will not be ordering from here again and the customer service needs to be handled. read more
