Choosing to work with Michelle was by far the best decision and for us, and she came highly recommended by four other midwives in the community. I interviewed multiple midwives, and even hired someone else originally, but once Michelle came into our lives, we knew we had made the right choice. From the beginning, she had such a calm warm energy and so knowledgable! I think it has been said before that Michelle is a human encyclopedia. Michelle also had great recommendations for anything you would ever need pre and postpartum such as physical therapists, massage, doula, childbirth classes and so on. She worked seamlessly with the doula that we had and they both had an incredibly way of making us feel so comfortable and supported. One of the many things I really appreciated about Michelle was how empowered I always felt to make choices and how much information she was able to provide in order for me to make those decisions. Another invaluable resource from Michelle is the network that you get connected to within the Welborn Baby community. I have gotten so much help, advice, referrals, event info, daycare/school info and so much more from the community. Michelle has touched our lives in such a special way, and we will never forget our experience having her in our home. I know she is in high demand so if you get a chance to work with her, I can't recommend her enough!

I was a skeptic at first before hiring a doula, but thanks to my husband's encouragement, it was the best investment spent for our baby. We've also taken all the foundational courses at the hospitals, but none of them compare to just one session with Alex. Alex is hands on, answers any and all your questions quickly and is the best advocate for you and your health and the health of your baby. From the moment we met Alex, we knew she loves her job. When your contractions start, your immediate response is to go to the hospital, but thanks to Alex, she kept me calm at home for an extra 8hrs, well fed and well hydrated and knew exactly when is the right time to go. She provided all the right massages and calming techniques from start to finish. We can't be more grateful to have found her and we'll definitely be using her for all her post delivery services, she is simply the most amazing woman you'll meet.

After my first in person visit with Maria and Suzannah I felt confident in my decision. My husband, who was apprehensive at first of a home birth, also felt more at ease. Throughout my pregnancy, Maria was there for me physically and emotionally every step of the way. The student midwife/photographer, Suzannah, was even able to schedule a maternity photo shoot for me! Once it came time for my labor I was met with a hands on team, compassion, and professionalism. Since I had a toddler at home, my husband had to take care of the little one for parts of the labor. Maria filled in the gaps that were needed when my husband couldn't be present. Overall, having a home birth was such a special, intimate, and pure moment. It was the best decision I could have made for myself, my baby, and my family. I did not anticipate how fulfilled and proud of myself I would feel. Thank you Maria and Suzannah for supporting me through my pregnancy and labor. You both helped create such a calm and safe environment for me to bring my baby into the world. The support I felt from other women during this journey is unmatched. I could not have gotten this type of support and compassion in a hospital setting. I will definitely be reaching out to Maria when we're ready for baby #3!

I can't say enough positive things about Katherine. It was such a blessing to find her, and she's…read morebrought so much positivity to our lives as a family, and to me as a new mom. We worked with her back in 2016 after the birth of our first son, and most recently again with our second son. Our first son had reflux, and had a difficult time feeding and sleeping. When we first saw her with our son, I was immediately blown away by her ability to soothe a fussy, uncomfortable, tired baby. It was magical. From that moment on, I just knew she was someone I could trust and breathe easy with, and rest easy knowing our son was in the best of hands. This feeling is truly a gift, as it has allowed for deep relaxation during very tiring, often stressful days. In addition to her amazing gifts with babies, Katherine is a wealth of knowledge for new parents when it comes to baby sleep and feeding, as well as additional care/therapies that families might benefit from (she recommended me specific post-partum massage therapists that would come to my house, and specific infant massage as well for infant-specific problems like reflux and torticollis). She truly is someone that I feel I can count on when hard days fall upon us - when my baby was sick she took extra special care taking care of him, holding him almost all night if needed; and when my husband needed to have surgery, she was there for us offering to work additional nights to support us. Additionally, she is so happy to do extra tasks while baby is sleeping (folding laundry, tidying, organizing projects). She is also an AMAZING cook, and happily prepared delicious and healthy soups, salads, and frittatas for our family. Katherine is one of the most giving, loving people I have ever met. When she sensed I was down or overwhelmed, she would send me little texts with a reflection to share, or a positive word. I honestly feel that she loves my baby, and loves our family. She is always looking for ways to go above and beyond what you would expect, her work never feels transactional, it always feels deeply personal, thoughtful, and caring. She develops a special bond with the families she works with, and I can't recommend her highly enough. I'm so grateful that she came into our lives, since I feel so enriched by working with her. I would 110% recommend that new parents work with her, as she will bring a very special energy, love, and support to your family when you need it the very most!!

Katherine brought such wondering energy into our home during an incredibly stressful time when we had zero family support. She spent time with my husband and our nanny, as well, not just me. She made wonderful recommendations on herbs to increase my supply. She was always so warm, supportive, positive, and encouraging during a time when my postpartum hormones were raging. She really helped us develop the confidence we needed to manage life as a new family of three. She went above and beyond any other night doula we tried (and we tried almost a dozen before we found Katherine). Every evening she'd text and ask if we needed anything from the grocery store. She offered to make breakfast for us. She helped with light tidying up around the house when there was time. Many other night doulas have pretty firm boundaries but Katherine's view is she's there to help the family make a successful transition and will do what the family needs. When I found out we were pregnant with our second child, Katherine was literally the second person I called - I wanted to make sure I could reserve her in advance before someone booked her. Katherine went out of her way to befriend my son (whom she'd taken care of 2.5 yrs previously), talking to him abt being a big brother, bringing him a gift, and making him feel comfortable with her presence in our house.
