There only 2-3 team members working, but they were all very nice and so patient as I stared at the menu with indecisiveness. The menu offered a variety of teas and coffees, along with a display of pastries and a number of sandwich options. After seeing that they served banana matcha, I had to see if I could add banana flavor to my latte - I could! So I started with a banana latte with oat milk + a ham, cheese and egg croissant. My latte was so delicious, I went back for a 2nd cup not too long after. My croissant was delicious as well. This is really a great place to do some remote work or to conduct meetings. The wifi was easy to connect to and I was able to get so much work done in the peaceful coffee shop as the rain poured down outside. Definitely a nice cafe to spend a day at!

When I walked in around 12:35pm on a Monday, there was no line. The seating area, which is shared with the apartment/hotel lobby, had a few people working, and a few others were sitting on the outside patio. It was very quiet inside, almost like a library, which was unexpected but would be welcomed if I was trying to get work done! The service was so-so. I was greeted when I walked in, but it wasn't a particularly warm or friendly interaction, though it kind of fit the vibe of the space. However, I was very impressed with their selection of seasonal drinks and happy to see some unique options to choose from. I decided to go with the Miss Jaunice, which is a Jamaican inspired carrot punch with milk and espresso for $6.75. I forgot to ask for a plant-based milk option and was surprised the barista didn't confirm if regular milk was okay. While it's ultimately my responsibility, usually baristas ask if I forget to specify, so it's good to know that's not a guarantee. Just as a heads up, oat milk and macadamia nut milk are an extra $1. Initially, I enjoyed the flavor of the drink and was happy I tried something different, but after drinking half the cup, I got tired of the taste. I personally felt like it needed something creamier, and I think oat milk with a little vanilla would have been the perfect addition. If you like a milder, creamier matcha, this one will be right up your alley, but I'd personally ask for less sweetness or go with a bolder matcha next time. I love the idea of pairing a café with a postcard experience.
