It was such a pleasure to work with Sandy, Jill and Kayla in making the arrangements. All we had to do was select our food, explain our vision, agree to date and time, and sign our contract! They made it so easy for us. The night of the event, everything ran pretty smoothly. The food was excellent, the service exemplary, and a beautiful atmosphere with a lovely ambiance. Taylin, Hanna, and Alayna, along with the entire staff were so attentive but more importantly fun to interact with and the service couldn't have been better. They all contributed to a magical evening and experience. Thank you all so much. I highly recommend them for staging any special event, or any event for that matter!

I attended a wedding here as a bridesmaid. The event coordinator, Jill, was unpleasant from the…read moreget-go. When our bride was hungry, we asked for food recommendation. She encouraged us not to get food from anywhere else and to "wait it out" for 2 - 3 hours until dinner. The kind bartender offered us crackers and oranges which is all she could do, but was very sympathetic. There were also 3 very SNIDE remarks from her to various people, one was to the photographer, about how the bride "didn't get a rehearsal dinner so (she) has no idea what's going on." Let me be clear, we are all very pleasant and easy going people who have ALL worked various service industry jobs. This set the tone for the rest of the night. Jill failed to do her job of making sure the bride was unseen by guests MULTIPLE times. She also told us, although it was discussed previously, that someone would be able to drive the bride to the entrance of the ceremony area. We were then told it would be impossible, as the car would be seen in photos? There was no argument back, but as we were taking photos, we realized the car would have never been in the photos in the first place. Jill is keeping this nasty attitude. The night goes on, at a steady pace, which did not seem fast enough for Jill. Everything felt rushed, and multiple times Jill was seen rolling her eyes and tapping her feet. Why do you have this job if you lack patience for someone's special day? The icing on the cake for me was the bartending experience. There was a tip jar for cash tips, and a Venmo scan code. The kicker of the Venmo scan code is that the code went to JILL! The wedding COORDINATOR! NOT the bartender! That was absolutely the last straw for me. The bartender was the only person who cared about the wedding and wedding party. Insane that Jill feels entitled to ANY of her tips. The bartender assured me they split them at the end of the night... but for what? The coordinator was NOT behind the bar, was NOT serving drinks. As a matter of fact, she was serving only one thing : major attitude and annoyance. 915 rolls around and Jill is cleaning up everything. The beautiful table my bride neatly put together, all thrown on a tray before the DJ is even done. If your drink as unattended while on the dance floor it was in the trash, and 915 is last call so there's no chance to get another. My bride had a beautiful day, but I would NEVER recommend this place to ANYONE. The ONLY shining star was the sweet bartender, who truly deserves better. Edited to add: my husband just told me about how the chairs during the ceremony were PAINTED! So when everyone stood up they had huge white chalk like marks all over their pants and dresses. This actually forced people to sit on rocks during the ceremony. Another edit: no charcuterie board to the men's suite, and the DATE WAS WRONG ON THEIR BACKDROP (see picture!!!) when brought to Jill's attention, she said "well I'll HAVE to make a whole nother one if you want it fixed" what??? I would be SICK TO MY STOMACH if I messed that up. WOW. The more we discuss the night the more we all have to add. I'm sure this will not be the last edit.

The grounds are gorgeous and they make sure that everything is running smoothly and people know where they are going. As a drop in location, more like 3 or 3.5 stars. My most recent visit was to take advantage of the igloos. We opted to try the cheese and chocolate fondue which was $25 per person. There was a nice amount of dippers and dip, but the chocolate and cheese were lukewarm. It tasted fine, but they might need to rethink how they warm it for next year. The igloos also weren't all that warm. Thankfully it wasn't a chilly night, but it it was, we would have been pretty cold. Overall, though, we enjoyed our experience. The "buffet" was really sparse for what they charge. $20 and there was soup, salad and three pizza options. Maybe if you get there right when it starts it might be good, but when we checked it out, the pizza had clearly been sitting for awhile and looked dried out. They had fun seasonal cocktails and many flavors of cider and let you sample the cider before making a choice. Service was great. Overall, the ground are gorgeous and the drinks are fun.

There was live music, so we ended up leaving the igloo to go inside, but it honestly wasn't much warmer indoors either. By the end of the night, just my husband and I had spent over $100: $30 for the sangria tower, $12 for a small cheese pizza, $20 for hot chocolate, $25 for fondue, plus our $15 share of the igloo. Overall, it was something different to try, but not something I'd do again. Next time, we'd just come to hear the live music, spend $20 on the buffet (which we didn't even know was available), and have a few beers--cheaper, warmer, and way more comfortable

My room had two double beds and a single along with its own bathroom (and a separate vanity area). There was even a coffee maker in the room. It was nicer accommodations than I was expecting. The two double beds were comfortable (the single was hard as a rock so I'm glad I didn't have to sleep on it). The food was amazing. Two entree options at each meal plus a salad bar with a nice mix of toppings. They even had fresh baked apple pie as dessert. During one of our longer breaks I took a walk through the museum. It is small but well designed. It was interesting seeing the beautiful artifacts and artwork and learning more about them. I Aldi enjoyed the meditation trail (although don't go without the map so you don't get turned around). Overall a beautiful place to spend a day or a weekend.

I had known of Antiochian Village as a retreat center, but I was unaware that there was a small museum on site. It is located about 6-7 miles north of Ligonier along Route 711. One may think it's out in the middle of nowhere, but that may contribute to the charm. The museum is a hidden gem in a building that houses a beautiful chapel, dining areas, comfortable rooms, library and gift shop. Every person we met during our visit was welcoming and helpful. We met the curator who was a lovely woman who spent time explaining the complex and an exhibit called "East meets West." One would wonder how a museum on the Antiochian Christian church and the Syrian, Lebanon and mid eastern cultures came to be in such an unusual location. The history of the Middle East is intertwined with early missionaries from this area. Beautiful religious icons are displayed along the wall. Antique furniture from Syria has ivory and mother-of-pearl. Vestments of Antiochian priests, Arabic bibles, vintage clothing, and other numerous items are displayed in glass cases. We saw the chapel which is lovely and it shouldn't be missed. Unfortunately, time went quickly and we were unable to see the gift shop. If you are visiting the area and want something a little different in a serene atmosphere, this is the place. I would check the hours to assure that the museum would be open. I learned new history about a different culture by visiting here.

We even had several guests say it was the best birthday party they've been to. From the moment we walked in the door everything was taken care of and went smoothly. The party hosts were top notch. They regularly checked in to make sure we were happy and to see if we needed anything. And they were great about diffusing situations when someone got upset for whatever reason. It was a great balance between dance party and organized games. Everything from musical chairs to a limbo contest and line dances like the macarena.
