I showed up at 4:45pm as promised and the door was locked and the business closed. I don't understand how you can run a business but not make time for people that run a few minutes behind. Absolutely ridiculous. Not to mention the business listing on google and Yelp says open til 7pm.

The upside is that the shop has gel color that matches regular nail polish colors so one's manicure and pedicure can match. That's a major plus. The shop also does brows. That's great for this area. Janet has a nice looking shop but two ill behaved dogs that tear up magazines, jump on customers with wet nails, and escape from the shop to have other people have to come out and chase them down. On my last visit I actually had to help wrangle a dog in the street with wet toes while the owner did nothing. I got my gel mani redone today again and again she filed down my nails again, ruining their length when I ask her not too. The gel is messily done and looks like plain nail polish. She was hasty, not paying attention and my nails look like I did them at home. I am so disappointed with the job she did. I wanted to support a local business but from now on will go back to either Nefertiti Nails or NGL. The Upper Valley doesn't have many options but this just isn't a good choice.

I just smiled and ignored her--weird comment but whatever. Then after she was finished with everything and I was on my way out, she asked how many children I had. (I mentioned that I had just had a baby.) I thought she was just being friendly so I told her two, and she said, "well, your hair is falling out." Again I ignored her, so she made a big dramatic sigh and frown in the mirror. Weird. I don't know if she was having a bad day, but it was very strange and made me uncomfortable. When I go to a luxury salon, the service and results aren't all that matter; I expect a calming and pleasant experience.

Ashley did not ask my wife if she wanted any nail polish even though we paid for it in the package. Ashley left the room and told my wife to just enjoy the massage chair. Ashley totally disappeared. I had Hannah, who did well with me. She did everything that we paid for. While my pedicure was getting finished, I was already feeling anxious because I noticed Ashley left twenty minutes early, she came back and asked in front of everyone how we were paying and how much of a tip we wanted to leave her. I was so uncomfortable. After I paid, while still getting my pedicure mind you, she just disappeared again. I wanted to talk to her about her hospitality after I was finished but I couldn't find her anywhere. It was a very uncomfortable experience.
