I've been going to Shelly for years. She's very accommodating and provides great service.

My mom got her nails done here for my wife and I's wedding reception last week and the polish peeled off 2 days later. When she rescheduled with the owner she was mad and didn't want to do it, then huffed and puffed about how she didn't schedule her in for that much time in order to fix it. My wife's nails were also done poorly as the white on the tips look like they are runny. My sisters nails bubbled up as well. None of them have Yelp so I am writing this for them. Sounds like poor customer service and poor quality... They will not be returning. read more

Soy waxing product was way to hot!! I have large burn marks under my eyebrows, look at the pictures... This also happened to other people I know after sharing what happened to me. And when I went in to show the owner all she did was tell me how it wasn't her fault and apologized for the inconvenience. No refund or anything. How unprofessional. I do not recommend. There are many other salons in Marquette I'd recommend for waxing. read more

I was so excited to find a cute place locally to have a pedicure. She wasn't friendly when I scheduled the appointment and I repeated twice the time and put it on my calendar. I am 6 months pregnant and couldn't wait for my appointment! I showed up about (4:10) 50 minutes early to have dinner next door (love Togos) and the spa appeared closed, although finding it strange I went to have dinner figuring my appointment was still a ways out. After I went to the door and it still looked closed and the door was LOCKED (4:55) at my scheduled time (5:00) I called and she was RUDE and said "your appointment was at 4:00, I am gone for the day". She took my number when I booked the appointment and never called when I didn't show at my "4:00 appointment". My husband even confirmed that I said 5:00 TWICE while on the phone with her. So unprofessional and rude from the get go.... Getting a mani this morning ... New at this so I came in asking questions about what I could get and how it worked .. She seemed irritated. Going into my manicure she made my cuticles bleed and cut into the sides of my nails w aggression. She did the brides pedi and had nothing to say, even after we tried to ask about her business and experience. Aftr the appointment and the undeserving tip, she canceled the brides next appointment and asked us not to come back!! She didn't like my "big city" attitude and the insulting questions ....?? The owner is a nasty, rude, and vile woman. Atmosphere is very unprofessional and decor is tacky. I wouldn't consider this a spa.

Absolutely love this spa!!! My mother had come to town on short notice, so we didn't have time to schedule a pedicure in time. So on a Saturday Morning we call this spa. The women on the phone was very nice and was able to get us in same day and both of us at the same time. When we arrived we were given an extensive beverage menu, and the foot spas were being filled. We picked out our desired color and began relaxing. She took such time and care on both of us. All together it was two and a half hours for both pedicures. My mother and I were so happy with our treatment! I'll never go to another spa! Guest service was the best I've had! read more

I've going to Shelly faithfully for over a year. Have had Manis, pedis, and various waxing procedures. I've always been happy with the quality of her work and she's always very welcoming. She is not only the owner, but performs all services on her own. She is extremely accommodating and even opens up the shop at all hours of the day, including on weekends. I went to this spa to get my eyebrows done. I had a full set of brows; so, there was plenty of hair to work with. Although she took too much hair off, she gave one brow a nice shape and just completely ruined the other. Then, I let her talk me into getting my whole face waxed. She spoke about how great soy wax is and how the skin won't bump, turn red or itch afterwards. Well, guess what?!? My skin bumped, turned red, and itched afterwards. I was so disappointed because my skin was clear, not a single blemish. She even complimented me on my clear skin and complexion. Now, I have brown spots from the bumps on my face. This was a horrible experience for me and my nails still hurt days later! I am furious with myself for staying I should have gotten up and walked out! Came in for a mani and pedi. the pedicure was down right painful at one point I jumped right out of my seat. She was usually a dremel on my feet. Yes the tool that you use to remove grout. I receive monthly pedicures so my feet were not in that bad of shape. She has to keep spraying cold water on your foot so it will not burn. Insane, again I should have gotten up and walked out right then. Next came the "dry" manicure. Boy she means dry nothing to soften up your cuticles. She just goes at twisting your fingers all over the place. I believe that it was the owner that performed this torture. I learned a valuable lesson next time I will call a halt and get the heck out of there!! read more

My girlfriend and I wanted to get side by side Pedi's, and called Bellissimo at 930 AM on our way to Marquette. The owner came from home, and got us both in. She was very thorough, and informative. I received the worst pedicure I have ever received in my life. I got my pedicure on Saturday, September 5 and here a week and day later I am still suffering from cuts on my big toe and heel. If this had been my first pedicure I would never get one again. Also I am from Minneapolis and have never paid that much for a pedicure before. read more
