I have been going to Melanie for at least seven years, I think, starting when she was on Arapahoe. I don't remember how I found her. She's wonderful! I've had microneedling, a peel (which didn't actually peel me, but Melanie said that happens about 7% of the time), and a few other services. Melanie is lovely. Calm, professional, and extremely knowledgeable about skin care. Her own skin is a testimonial. Her prices and specials are extremely reasonable, particularly for this area. And Melanie doesn't push or try to upsell you, which I appreciate. She listens to what you want done, and then does it. If she suggests something, it's worth considering, but she only does that if I ask. She's very skilled with needles, and patient (I hate needles.) I once went to "the nurse" that everyone talks about. I wanted Botox, she insisted that I get Dysport, and not only did I get a black eye, but it wore off really fast. Ugh. I go to Melanie once a year, when I think that I should. I need to go soon, as clearly everything has worn off. BTW, you never get "frozen face" from her treatments. And Melanie never pushes me to schedule another appointment. The last time that I saw her was post-lockdown, and she didn't have any staff at that time. But when she did, they were great. She chooses her staff carefully. Melanie didn't do my peel, and I'm not blaming her staff member for the peel not peeling. I take care of my skin, and exfoliate. Maybe there wasn't enough dead skin or whatever to peel. Or the peel was very mild. I had a peel at Spavia last week, and didn't peel then either. So clearly it's me. TCA is the only thing that really peels me, but the downtime is difficult. Not sure if Melanie offers that. read more

After I've done twice IPL laser treatments my face has even getting more freckles from their old laser machine. They burned my skin and they were trying to selling me chemical peels to get rid of it!! Also they are changing you extra $20 for apply numb cream during the laser treatment! I called Belleza after I received 2 laser hair removal treatments for my face from another company which had just gone out of business. I live in the area so it made sense from a convenience standpoint, and after checking their website I found the tiered price structure for body area size to be competitive in the market. When I arrived I was greeted and introduced to Bailey who would perform the laser treatment. Although I had already had laser hair removal on my face and other areas, she explained their process, the laser, and set expectations. She then applied gel to all areas of my face, chin and neck to be treated. She started the laser pulses and was always cognizant of my comfort level during the process. After she completed the treatment she then applied a combination sunscreen/moisturizer to my face making sure to cover the entire area treated. She provided post treatment instructions and care. Yesterday I had a Great Photofacial w/Melanie and I hardly felt a thing. I had a series done about 5 years ago w/out numbing cream and it wasn't necessarily painful, but it did feel like a constant slap series to my face. I found out about this place because I had seen it on I think weeklyplus or one of those deals and decided I couldn't pass up this deal or 3 photofacials. Not to mention when you become a member because you've seen her, you get Great prices! I'm gonna be tackling my chest next. I have a lot of beauty marks and freckles I'm trying to get rid of, since I use to be a sun goddess back in the days. When I did it in the past, it got rid of all of them, but within 5 years I haven't been able to completely avoid the sun. The procedure was great and so fast, I have my next one in about 3 1/2 weeks. She's also Very informative in giving skincare advice for my daughter's oily skin. I have dry and haven't had oily since I left Hawaii's humid weather. My duaghter is a tween and needs a different regimen. Melanie wrote down what was needed and I am going to be ordering the products from her. This office is a little farther than the spa's I go to around my house area, but her work, prices and friendly personality is worth it. Looks like I am not the only one whose Groupon was not honored. I bought my groupon, set up the appointment, and was told to plan to be there for 2 hours. Veronica did the microderm and I added a photofacial. She rushed through the procedures so fast that I almost felt guilty for being there. Not sure if they were overbooked, but it definitely was not a good experience. For the 2 procedures, I was rushed in and out in 30 minutes. On the plus side, I did tell Malanie what happened, and she did say that I could come back so she could honor the groupon, but I won't be going back. The only reason this place got one star because you have to rate with something on here !!! Absolutely do you're researching before going into a spa . Let's start off by telling my experience !! Microneedling pen is such a joke at this place the hand held machine bounced around on face & felt as if it was going out of battery charge or needed re placed definitely not what a dermApen is supposed to do it shouldn't skip across face & when I brought it to he attention of the owner which was going my facial her response was she does all her clients equally uhhh that's not the point the point the equipment wasn't charged or is old !!! Also it's important to select a place that an RN is doing these procedures to make sure protocols are carried out like gloves & cleaning equipment & maintance on all machines note to everyone Emu oil used on face after procedure is a big NO it's a thick oil that clogs the pores why sell & have customers use something that worsens the situation lol. Also I wanna point out I also had done the IPL facial which and it was painful like an electric shock ( YES ) I've had them done several times I have a blog and I write about spas in the Denver area & while traveling this is not a normal experience. Conclusion on this spa is - take the time & go to spas with RN's also ones not on Groupon only good thing about Groupon is you will get refunded for a bad experience !!!!! Belleza Spa's owner is dreadful. After booking an IPL photofacial, i was convinced by the staff that a chemical peel was the better choice for my skin, After realizing that this procedure was not what i was hoping for, I called to see if they would honor what i originally booked for, and the owner Melanie was unbelievable rude to me. telling me i was a liar and even arguing with me the whole conversation. this is not a place anyone would want to go and be treated, let alone be spoken to like Melanie did. I threw $180 to have my face feel like it is on fire and a whole layer of skin slough off with no sign of any change in my skin. $ seems to be the only concern for th Belleza Spa and Salon at the end of day. The owner doesnt understand what is important, so neither will her staff. What works for some people doesnt work for another person, and the VI peel did not work for me. I wasted my money, time, and still have the hyperpigmentaion issues that i came in with. Complete and utter disappointment. Melanie, the owner, is not someone you can trust to help you solve any issues you may experience, if anything she made things worse and angrily told me that this works for all her clients, and once again calling me a liar. There are a million other places you can go and get results, professionalism, and trust in what you pay. This is my 1st time ever writing anything negative on yelp, and honestly dont like spending my time this way, but how i was treated was appalling and completely out of line and think that anyone considering this place should think twice. Heard about this place from a classmate of mine. She told me this spa had full laser capability for face and body. I'd been wanting another photofacial but the last time I had it, it was pretty severe. She assured me this spa would be gentler and not so aggressive. I booked my appointment and I had Michelle take care of me. What a difference! She was communicative, detailed and worked the laser over my face like a PRO! 9 days later, my scabs fell off and my hyperpigmentation spots are 75% less noticeable. I purchased a IPL Photofacial package off of Groupon and I am SO happy that I did. I am new to Colorado & my skin completely freaked out since moving here. I have not been able to clear my acne. It seems like every time I cleared one area, another area would totally break out. I couldn't keep up. I finally decided to try something other than different topicals. I am so upset I didn't come here sooner!! I have only received one Photofacial so far and it was only 3 days ago and I am AMAZED by my results. My 5 star rating is for the manicurist Kim Greer. She is very experienced and reasonably priced. The spa is clean and is set up suite style, meaning each stylist has their own private area to work in. It was a terrible experience for both me and my daughter. The room was very cool, the bed was uncomfortable and not heated and we were not offered a wedge or pillow for under our legs (not good for your spine to lay flat without some support under your legs). The appointment lasted 44 minutes from the time I was escorted into the room, undressed and dressed again and returned to the lobby. Wow - that's short. Also the scalp massage lasted so long that I felt like I was shorted on the facial. If using a Groupon is going to be like that from them, I would suggest that nobody use a Groupon.
