It's always overbooked and for what you pay there are other courses more worth the money. Even at a twilight discount, they are so booked you're forced into playing with other people and sooooo sloooooow. the wait at each hole is 15-20 minutes. I'm lucky if I get out of here before dark. Driving range is useless, you can't get on it, lines and lines of people - on a weekday/weeknight and they just hit bucket after bucket with no hope of getting up there to warm up. The staff is not great and it is clear the almighty dollar is priority over a proper course with courtesy and respect for the people or the game. I would rather play all the way out at Twin Rivers than come back to the home course. booo. read more

Drove a hour to come out here, didn't let any of us play because of a "problem" that happened with some other guys. My buddy got banned because of the guys he was with. Didn't let any of us play told him he wasn't allowed to play here anymore and the other golfers who they had the problem with are still able to play. Horrible service make no sense. Extremely disappointing experience. My group and I were kicked out of the course without a clear explanation, even though we were following all the rules and behaving respectfully. Staff was rude and unprofessional, and made no effort to communicate what the issue was before abruptly asking us to leave. We've played at many courses, and have never been treated with such disrespect. Bellevue course is my favorite! The grass is in great shape, ALWAYS! I wish I could play barefoot. lol All of the staff is friendly. Grace McClure definitely stands out the most to my friends and I. She is there when she says she will be there. She's always in a positive mood and fun to have around. She loves her job and we can tell. And we love taking care of her as she goes the extra mile to take care of us. I wish the other golf courses had half the work ethic that she does. Wonderful place to golf, Tucked away in the hart of Bellevue we came out for driving range and beer) Staff was kind and attentive. Price was nice. (About average for a page bucket, however the golf appears to be slightly over priced. All in all nothing super special about the place but the driving range seems to always have a spot or more available. Been coming here to whack some balls at the driving range. Recently just found out there's an additional lower level of stalls if you take the stairs to go down. Most of the stall are covered, there's a few on the far edge on the top floor that isn't and hopefully the weather isn't too hot when you go because it does feel like you're a pizza pocket that's baking in a toaster oven and melting from the heat. This is a popular driving range, I've never had to stand and wait for a stall to open up any where else ever, I'll try not to go during peak hours next time. Course is very green, lots of trees. I have only been to the driving range, putting green and clubhouse so I can't rate the course. The driving range has 2 levels, 1 on the ground and a 2nd story level so that you can hit golf balls into the air and watch them land. They have an machine on each level where you can buy a bucket of range balls and happily use your time to improve your game. The putting green is like any other putting green, and is a decent sized area. Clubhouse sells some food and drinks, but it's always fun to get a beer and go hit some golf balls. read more

The course was great overall. Greens were perfect and clean. The only gripe is the clubhouse grill. Service is slow and nonchalant. The hot dog was spongy...like it was sitting in water for hours. I found that interesting since my friends hot dog was served butterflied and grilled. The BLT wasn't bad but came in multi-grain bread. Wasn't asked if I wanted white bread which I preferred, but oh well. read more

Well kept course and great driving range. Course is short but challenges you to keep it in play off the tee if you want to score. Friendly and helpful staff. BIG downside is their lack of holes on a really nice putting green. With such a great range it could be a great place to tune your game. read more

Just had a fantastic afternoon of golf with some coworkers. Very reasonably priced, absolutely immaculate greens, and a course that was simultaneously challenging while not maddening. It's a perfect blend for both amateurs and experienced golfers. The golf carts were in tip top shape as well, for what that's worth. I can't wait to come back again! read more

If I could give this place a 0 star rating I would. The cart boys working are young and thieves. I left my speaker in the cart, a frequent occurrence among golfers. I called the pro shop maybe an hour later to see if it was turned in. and there was no sign of my speaker and I told them the exact cart number I used. I was literally one of the last carts to come back in, so it should have easily been found or turned in. I called the following few days in a row, still nothing. You would think theft would rarely happen in Bellevue.. on a golf course.. by the employees.. but I guess this is where 2024 has brought us (: read more

I give this a four star rating not as a Destiination golf resort but as my local go to golf course to get a round in without having to drive very fair. I have been able to take full advantage of twilight golf with less people on that time of day (typically) and the weather is cooler and we play right up to the edge of darkness in the summer months For as many people that play the course is in pretty good shape and even though there's been a lot more people on the course during COVID-19 the Playthru has been reasonable The staff have mostly been there for a few years and they're all great The course isn't long at 6000 yards but most of the holes are still fairly challenging and there's plenty of trees. the greens can be inconsistent depending on which hole it is but the course is always fun to play The recently renovated driving range is a double-decker with what looked like 40 stalls or more and it's lit so you can practice till 10 PM that's awesome too You have to pick and choose when you go to get a good round in but it's a fun course read more

Me and my golf buddies have been golfing and practicing here for decade and love its location, maintenance and friendly staff. However, today 9/25/21 Sat 9:30AM, something shocking happened to me and couple new friends I tried to introduce golf to. I was explaining to new friends what Irons and Woods are and the BGC coach walked to me saying I can't give instructions here. The coach later even yelled at me that I should either leave my friends along or I should LEAVE! I am a bogey golfer just trying to help couple friends to learn this new sport and even told them, once they like it, they should then go find a professional to learn further. It is as simple as friends helping friends and have some fun at BGC driving range and me and other golf buddies have had doing this and have fun for 10+ years.. and we were all nice friendly people doing nothing wrong. I don't deserved to get yelled and threatened to LEAVE. What even frustrated me is that, there was another lady, who is white, also teaching her friends/families just slots away and the coach had no issue with that. That made me think whether it can also be related to our skin as Asian that the coach is ok asking me to LEAVE for just helping absolutely new beginner to start a new sport they might like. It makes sense to ban other professionals to use the range to do business but it makes no sense to ban friends helping each other. And it is not fair that the coach threatened me to LEAVE while the other lady can continue teaching her friend or family. read more

Let's start with the positive things about this course. The actual course is well taken care of. The greens are nice and the fairways are well mowed. It is a fun, semi-challenging par 71 course. Now, the negatives. If you are a good golfer you will be pulling your hair out on how sloooooooow it is out there. My 18 took almost 6 hours and I am a scratch handicap. What's the issue? This has to be the most geriatric place to play I ever seen. I mean 80+ year olds everywhere. The group in front of us wouldn't let us play through and they were just terrrrrrrrrrrible. I get it. It's good you are out playing at 90 but when you hit little dribblers that go 15 feet every time then go play a par 3 course. Reminded me of the movie Caddyshack where that old couple is swinging and missing and hitting the ball 10 feet while the caddy knows that round is gonna be the worst. There was like 6 groups backed up behind these guys. It was UNREAL!! Most golf courses have rules about speed of play so obviously the course DOESN'T enforce this rule. The regulars I played with told me it's always like that. I played on a weekday at 8. Most courses are wide open then. Don't play here if you are a good golfer unless it's a tournament. Was the most frustrating round I can remember in 30 years of golf. 8 year old girls play faster than the average 80 year + people out there. It's been enjoyable for 45 years, except the last two have had some problems. That is because there are no holes in the putting green.

A well maintained and good value in Bellevue. I've got a super low single digit handicap, so the course itself isn't really a challenge, but it has some fun holes, and is in good shape. Fairways can be a little rough at times, but the greens are usually in good repair throughout the season Nice range and practice area that don't see as much use as I thought they would. Fairly easy to get a tee time, and I'll play here a few times a season with friends who don't have the skill or cash to play Newcastle with me. read more

This is the best driving range you are going to find around the Bellevue/Kirkland area. I've had a great experience with the staff. 2 story range, heaters during winter time. For the course, greens are well kept, but overall I think the prices are a little high given it's a public course. Pace of play gets really slow during the summer time weekends. The course is not extremely hard, so it is great for beginners, intermediate players, and children. It may have changed since I last played, but I was not able to buy just 9 holes, it was 1 price whether you played 9 or 18. I would certainly play here more if the prices matched better with what you get. read more

I was very excited to come and golf here with my friends on 6/22. We are from out of town and went to check in and found out we were unable to rent any clubs due to COVID. I was unaware of this because on the website there were still options to do rental clubs. When the employee told me this I asked how much it was to buy one and he was very condescending and stated "if you have enough money". The tone of his voice was unpleasant and uncalled for. Owners/managers please have more of an obvious statement on the website saying there are no rentals available and talk to your employees about how they should appropriately talk to people in general and not from the area. read more

I frequently visit BGC for hitting the course or just hitting the range. They recently redid their driving range so the mats are newer and they have heaters for year round. The course is decent, some tough holes but just pretty standard and not that long. Enjoy coming here for a decent course at a good price. read more

Overbooked - be prepared to wait at least 10 min at every hole..... they don't do rain checks after finishing the first 9 so make you ask for one before making your way back to the clubhouse after the first 9. Staff shows no sympathy or care for customer concerns. doesn't drain well. read more

It's a complete mystery to me why this course plays so slowly. I've never played in 4 hours and typically hover around the 5 to 5 and a half hour mark for 18 holes. High trees line many of the fairways and can really put you in jail with an errant tee shot. The blue tees only play 6,000 yards and a driver isn't necessary on many of the par 4s. They have a nice driving range and huge putting green to warm up at before your round or to leisurely practice at if you live in the area. If they could figure out how to improve pace of play I would play here more often. Their men's club is very enjoyable to be part of and very affordable at $75, which also includes 10% off at the pro shop and a GHIN membership. All the tournaments I've participated in were memorable and have some great prizes. read more

This is an affordable, municipal golf course that is good for beginners. Most of the holes are pretty short and offer a lot of room for error. The greens are pretty slow, but actually aren't that bad! The fairways are also maintained pretty well and though there are trees on the sides, they aren't so dense that it's impossible to get out. However, if you're an intermediate golfer who doesn't hit too many wayward shots, a round here could get really frustrating, simply because of the pace of play. There are a lot of beginners (which is cool, I'm all for growing the game) but it just takes way too long to play, and it seems like the tee times are always full. Overall, it's a good place to hone your skills and just practice hitting solid shots in a relaxed environment. But if you're already at the point of staying in the fairway and hitting greens, it might be torturous to go through. read more

I have played Bellevue Muni a number of times over the last 25 years. It is usually packed on a decent weekend and the pace of play is notoriously slow. As a result, I had kind of discarded it as an option, sort of a knee jerk reaction to the old Yogi Berra saying: "Nobody goes there anymore, it's too crowded". Bellevue Muni is all about price and location, it is an old course, short and generally narrow. The trees are mature and come into play on a number of holes. The pace of play is about as slow as I have experienced in the area. However, if you go on a weekday afternoon you can play a little faster. Got my 2nd quickest round I have ever played there last Wednesday afternoon, only took 4 hours 50 minutes. Most people don't understand why such a short course can play so long. The Marshalls are superfluous as they never move anyone along. But that is only part of the issue. The bigger issue is time splits. There is simply not enough time between tee times. As a result too many golfers are funneled on the course which makes a 4 hour round virtually impossible, unless one is the first off the tee in the morning. Unfortunately, that dooms most of the patrons to play in approaching 5:30 for a weekend round. This is a management decision. Charge more and move the tee times further apart, get the marshals to move people along and set the course up for a 4 hour round or charge less and pack in the golfers and live with the grumbling of how long it takes to play a round. Again, management decides how long it takes to play. Nothing to do with the golfers themselves. The new driving range is top notch, but it to is really crowded, went there late yesterday, about 4:00 Sunday afternoon. All of the tees were filled. The guy that waited for my tee before I left had to hang around for 15 minutes before he could hit. The course is in pretty good shape compared to years past. Some years ago they had an aggressive sanding program all over the course making it drain a little better. The greens fees, though nothing to write home about, are reasonable considering the killer location. If you play there a lot or use the range, the Premier Card is a good deal, it is free and gives you increasing discounts depending on your patronage during the year. The outside seating at the snack bar has the potential to be a real draw and help hold over some of the players after a round, maybe even draw some none golfers for an after work libation, but it seems like an after thought the way they have it set up. The food is marginal and the service is worse, as the servers seem a bit surly. Perhaps they are overworked. Usually, that is a reflection on Management as much as the individuals working behind the counter. The snack bar is old and that makes it look kind of dingy and greasy, not real appetizing. But if you are there with your buddies you hardly notice it, if you are with your wife, quite a different story. On balance, I would say that Bellevue Muni is worth the time. I am glad that it is there. I live less than 3 miles away so you can bet I will be back. Having said that, this is definitely NOT a destination golf course, in any sense of the word. read more

Wow, the first to review??? I come here a lot to make use of their driving range but probably won't as lately it has become packed with a wait time of 10-20 minutes. They have a very nice practice putting green and good sized chipping green, both very hard to come by. As for the course, nothing too challenging, fairways were in good condition, greens were consistent. The only other knock was the steward at the first tee, berating us to tee off as he claim we were late because his watch was 3 minutes faster than the clubhouse. Just a quick word, some of us have real jobs, and despite the sprint to finish our work, get our clubs get to the club, check in and get to the first tee, that we were cutting it close. Chill the F out. update 8/31... So now I discover Willows run. No reason ever to come back here. read more

Course is okay. Staff is pretty nice. Busy, they push you hard to move along. The worst part is the food service. Slow, runs out of stuff all the time and the choices are so-so. This could be a really great club house if someone would spruce it up. Out door area for food service could be outstanding but it's not. It could help support the place. Not much incentive to stay for food or drink. Renton and Tukwilla are so much classier. read more

Herron par 3 is a short course filled with water hazards that eat balls. Greens were in good shape but the fairways are very rough. It appears they are hosting the gopher world series of hole digging. Overall a fun distraction and worth the money. read more
