I took my daughter for parent child swim lesson and on her first class she did not go in the water. For her second class she went in the water and accidentally drank some pool water. That night she started having episodes of vomiting and diarrhea which lasted for two weeks. I am not going to this pool again. They are not strict about the rules of swim diapers, taking showers before the pool and I have seen kids getting in the pool without taking a shower. I get the notification of pool contamination every month. read more

It's a literal shit show on weekends, this is probably my 12th? time that the pool has been shut down because kids are taking a dump in the pool. 1. The lifeguards don't enforce the rules including shoes everywhere, screaming, diving, rough play, and most important- parents being responsible and the wearing of swim diapers. 2. They are happy to take your $, happy to shut the pool down early when inevitably kids take a dump in the pool. They take zero accountability 3. I've been in dozens of warm therapy pools like this in many countries and this is the ONLY one that allows children under age 12. There are reasons for that: small bodies heat up faster, they go to the bathroom a lot in warm water. Bellevue aquatic again takes no responsibility- they will tell you that it's perfectly safe and it's a multi use pool. These are the same people who will gaslight you that "suit spinners" are dangerous because they might get mold (true if they don't clean them) --- but kids taking a dump in the pool is perfectly fine. read more

Clean facility. Ancient changing rooms. It's very hard to swim laps here (and I'm not much of a swimmer). The lifeguards don't enforce lap swim rules, so you get kids playing in the lanes, adults standing in them. They also don't have any speed signs for the lanes, so it's overall a gong show of all abilities. The pool is also very shallow, so very choppy. Don't swim on your back because the kids jumping in will drown you with their splashes or by jumping on top of you. This is a great pool for families. Not so much for exercise. read more

The reviews I've seen for this place aren't great, but it's my go to lap swimming pool. We don't have to many great places for lap swimming so I've always came here because it's quick and convenient. It's best to get here earlier in the day knowing it gets busy as the day goes on. The warm pool on the other hand is worth skipping knowing its full of loud, screaming kids. I've never had any problem with the pool here and think what you get out of the $5 price is great. Overall I think this is a great place for lap swimming and would recommend coming here to do so. read more

The pool is well maintained, filtration in the pool works well, the staff is friendly and helpful, the changing area has curtains for privacy if needed. read more

As a former aquatics professional and a life long lap swimmer, i am disappointed in the management of the Bellevue Aquatics Center. It advertises lap swim lanes but does not mange them and uses them as overflow lanes for children play, people walking , and barely able to swim individuals. When asked to mange the lanes the management uses such excuses as "they can kinda can swim" and "they have a right to be here as much as you". This is a misrepresentation of what is offered as lap swim, a lazy thinking and pool management. This is a problem with the pool management and not the pool staff. I do not recommend this pool for lap swimmers. read more

The Bellevue Aquatic Center has two pools, both of them really big for indoor pools. The Blue Lagoon pool is 25 yards long with six lap lanes, a diving tank and a 10-foot slide. They keep that one at around 85 degrees (too cold for me!) The Warm Springs pool is one-of-a-kind, built for therapy and rehabilitation. It has a wheelchair ramp and an average water temperature of 91 degrees (that's more like it!) Locker rooms are available for men, women, and families. They are clean and well designed, making it easy to get ready for swim class even when almost all the kids for the classes are in there with their parents. Locker rentals are just 25 cents and swimming access is less than $5 per session, even cheaper if you buy 12-for-the-price-of-10 ticket books or a season pass. Indoor pools are sort of automatically loud because of the way sound reflects off the walls, roof, and the water surface, but this setup is better than most. The staff here is friendly and helpful. There are lots of lifeguards, and they are actually paying attention, not reading magazines like they do at some pools. The swimming teachers are all lifeguards and even though they are mostly pretty young, they have been trained well and do a great job encouraging and guiding the kids in their class. This is a great place to take the kids on a rainy day for some exercise! read more

This is where the physical diving took place for the class with Silent Diving. It's a short drive, and thankfully there was a Walgreens on the way since we forgot our towel. Good amount of seating for those watching, the pool gores to 15ft deep, there are multiple diving boards, there were a lot of lap swimmers there, must be all pumped up from watching the Olympics...lol. Nice facility, large changing/ showing areas. Just wish they had a large screen TV for those not in the pool since there was a Seahawks game I was trying to watch. I was able to plug my phone in and catch parts on my phone...service was a little shotty. Everyone that worked there was nice, and my son really enjoyed the scuba diving class. It went until 9pm. It's too far out of our way to go just to swim....but if it was closer is definitely take my kids there to swim. read more

We took swimming lessons for a year here with no progress with our then first grader. Instructors varied but the last one was awful making my daughter lose confidence in her ability and being frustrated with her in general (the other children in the class were boys and our daughter tends to be a dreamer, something the male instructor wasn't too sure how to work with). The quality of instructors was sadly poor vs. the community center we used to take her to back in Portland before we moved. It took a bit to persuade our daughter back into the pool and have her trust someone. She is making amazing progress with the private lessons where she has them (she can actually swim now!) and I regret putting her through the group lessons here. read more

2 pools -- warm pool and blue lagoon Warm pool - it's WARM and high in chlorine. This is a therapy pool. It has stairs and a ramp that ends on the shallow part of the pool (3ft). Most swim lessons are held here, so noise level can get high. Blue Lagoon - swim team practice are held here (it has 6 lanes, I think), then there's a deeper part (13ft) where the diving board is at and a slide on the opposite side of it. Chlorine level is not as high as in the warm pool. Locker/shower area are ok. They have a couple of family rooms. They rent out the pool and "party" room for parties. My daughter had her birthday party at Blue Lagoon and she and her guests had a great time. read more

Update: Great response to phase 2 requirements, safe & clean. Super friendly staff and fun exercise environment.

We just signed up for parent tot class and so far so good! I do like how there are family changing rooms (although it should come with a lock!) and how nice and warm the pool is for the kids! My little one was scared at first but after her first class she didn't want to leave the pool! The instructor was very nice and it's really just to get them used to water and practice water safety. The front end of the center is a little dated but functional. Easy signup for classes and not crazy expensive either! read more

My review is just based on the Warm Springs pool. This is where my son takes swimming lessons. There are two indoor pools here. I have never had the opportunity of swimming in the Blue Lagoon pool, but my son's lessons are in the Warm Springs pool. True, the Warm Springs pool is nice & warm for the kiddies. (It's really no fun for the adults on the sideline sitting & watching though. It's very humid because the pool is so warm.) My son is currently in his second round of swimming lessons (Parent Tot) here. I have decided that I am going to probably look elsewhere for him the next go around. They have about four classes going on at once. Needless to say, the volume level is pretty out of control with so much going on at once. Seventy five percent of the time, I cannot hear what the instructor says. This sucks because we sing songs while holding our children. If Mama can't hear what the heck the instructor is saying or singing, it is not at all conducive to having a good time. They really should limit the amount of classes going on at once, but I guess the City of Bellevue is trying to get as much bang for their buck as possible. read more

We tried it during our time in Palisades and we didn't like it. Few issues: the water was not warm enough for both wife and son and they didn't look forward to it. It was always very crowded and they never enjoyed their time. The trainer for the kids was terrible and we had to stop going to the classes after 2 weeks. read more

They have 2 pools: (1) Blue Lagoon pool - lap pool with a separate section for a water slide. (2) Warm Springs pool - average of 91 degrees, built for therapy and rehabilitation, but they have open swim hours and lessons. On more than one occasion, I have taken the long drive over traffic jammed I-90 so my toddler can experience the Warm Springs pool. The temp (91 degrees) may sound hot, but it's a perfect bath water temperature. My daughter has no trouble just walking straight into the water without "testing" it out with her feet. The other pool is a "normal" pool temp (the kind that feels warm only if you are swimming laps). I researched a lot of different pools and decided to try this one because it was the warmest. Now I can't even imagine what it would be like to take my daughter into anything colder than 91 degrees! If you have a baby or toddler or someone scared of pool water, I highly recommend you take them here! Look for their open swim hours on their website and go experience their 91 degree warm pool! They have pay as you come, 10-pack passes and 3 month passes. read more

Pay to swim ? I can dig it. Diving board. Yup. But a slide. Now that's awesome. Took my kid here and he had a blast with his cousins. Nice and clean also. Great to take the kids to when it's raining outside but you still wanna swim in. They could make the temp a little higher in the pool. But all awesome. read more

Bellevue Aquatic Center - A slide ? Hahha - Swimming Pools Near Me - Bellevue, Washington

This is a wonderful pool full of diverse users, families and fun. I find it interesting that someone would describe the water as dirty simply because special needs kids/adults use it. I think that speaks more to their own biases than reality. My daughter (who happens to be in a wheelchair) has been using this pool since birth to learn to swim, take PT, and have fun. From the front desk staff to the managers, they are all in it to make sure you enjoy your visit. read more

The schedule notes that during Open and "Lap Swim" there are 2 lanes for lap swimming. I arrived and confirmed with the person at the front desk before paying that there were in fact lanes designated for lap swimming. I entered into the pool and there were three lanes set up. One lane being used for swim lessons and two open lanes for lap swimming...the only thing is there are children playing in the lanes. When I asked the life guard if there were lanes for lap swimming only she graciously offered to create another lane for me. Well she put me to work pulling the rope across the pool myself which I was happy to do to salvage the trip I made to the pool, paid for and was already in the pool for. Moments later I was told if it got any busier they would have to remove the lane that they just had me create. The biggest problem was that none of the children or parents ever left the newly created lane at all nor did the life guards ever attempt to regulate the situation. I swam 3 laps dodging parents and children thinking that the life guard may ask the children to keep to the open swim area unless they were doing laps (or maybe some of the parents might have enough sense on their own). I have no objections to pools that are open swim for families, however if you advertise that you have designated lap swimming lanes but you do not ask that non-lap swimmers stay out of the lanes what is the point? I paid to dunk into a pool, set up a lane for the life guard and then left without swimming at all because it was impossible. I noticed another comment about ditching Bellevue Aquatic Center for the pools in Seattle and I couldn't agree more. At least in Seattle you get what is advertised! read more

All the reviews rant about how amazing the warm springs pool is, and this is very true, but someone needs to write a review about how amazing the staff is. The lifeguards are very attentive and professional and the managers are very efficient and know what they are doing. The pool is run so smoothly and when there is some sort of conflict, it is handled in the best way possible. Also, the swim instructors are awesome! read more

All I can say is WARM POOL. Have you ever seen those pictures of monkeys in japan chilling out at the hot springs? That's what this is like. I was so relaxed that I almost forgot that I was suppose to be watching my toddler. The water was so warm that she was splashing around like a maniac instead of remaining motionless due to hypothermia. This is a great place to escape for the winter. Not exactly Great Wolf Lodge but the warm water does take you away for a moment. One caveat: this is a community pool, so the facilities have that public works vibe to it. Set your expectations appropriately and focus on enjoying the nice water. read more

They have a 2 hour window for open swim most days, and I brought my four kids during this time frame. All four are learning how to swim so we started on the underwater benches so the kids would feel secure. After only a few minutes we were told that we were going to have to move, there was going to be a class there. And lo and behold, a class came in and for the full two hours took up the bench area and most of the shallow area. What's the point of having open time vs class time if you're going to be booted for a class either way? We're looking at Samena for an alternative now. read more

I take my six month old here for open swim and love the Warm Springs pool. It's perfect for babies, and nice for those of us with the babies who aren't moving around much. The staff are always really nice, the facilities are clean, and the prices reasonable! read more

Despite the likelihood of lots of urine in this pool due to the clientele, I still love it once a month during the cold rainy months (i.e., 8 months in Seattle). Lap pool is cold and sometimes has all laps occupied, but still a great option to have in this great city. read more

The classes are still great but twice over the summer my 4 year old ended up under water bc he stepped (once) /jumped (once) of the step and couldn't get his footing. Yes, partly my kids fault bc he wouldn't sit still but the pool is set up to be so packed that it felt like the life guards couldn't see what happened. In the end, he was fine and the instructor would get to him within a few seconds but he'd sit on the side coughing for a few minutes. We decided to try something new and so switched to SwimLabs and my kid has advanced more in 1 month than he has at years of BAC classes. read more

We went back to the Warm Pool, had a full hour of fun (no vomit this time) and it was GREAT!!!!

Really wonderful and really great place for swimming. And also the staff are very friendly.

First time and last time visitor to the Bellevue Aquatic Center. There was a mix-up about the rules regarding the children-to-adult ratio (which I've never encountered in any of the private and public pools in Seattle). After being banished to another pool and encountering more bureaucracy, we said goodbye to our hosts and left after being there for a whole 20 minutes. Although I didn't expect much from the teenagers on staff in the office, my family was ignored, and no apologies for the misunderstanding, nor offers of refund were forthcoming. I had to ask for the refund I received. Needless to say, we're sticking with our superior pools in Seattle. read more

I love this place and the instructors here. Recently I myself have completed the Adult beginner's and Intermediate classes and it was awesome. My instructors (Liam for Beginner's and Greg for Intermediate) are super patient and worked to help me progress , master techniques. Can't thank them enough. One special callout to Gary who is always forthcoming to give us tips and suggestions from his vast experience. I also took my toddler son for his preschool swim lesson here and he loved the place. Definitely a place to recommend. read more

I LOVE the warm springs pool. BAC is one of the best places for swimming ever in Seattle. And very many swim levels are available here. I can't believe people leave one star ratings. That just seems wrong to me. read more

I visited the facility last night after I had a very difficult time registering for swim lessons online. The woman working the front desk (I think her name was Aly?) was exceptionally kind and helpful and was able to get my kids registered for classes in just a few minutes. She was also so great and fun with my kids! I witnessed her interacting with other customers in the same way. It's rare that a staff member is so nice that I go to write a review! read more

Registered for a swim lesson class two weeks prior to the start of the class only to know just hours before the first class that entire schedule is cancelled and offered to return payment. Great swimming pools, Feels nice and warm. Highly recommend this place in winter time.

Enrolled my daughter for youth 1 and the instructor was just not good. He would not allow them to balance their body while swimming and hold them all the while. Understood the difference when he was off for one day and another lady took class on his behalf. She made them swim with less support and taught them how to balance their body and use their legs for swimming. Basically it depends on the instructor whom you get for your kid. She was not promoted to the next level and i decided to enroll her in some other swimming classes. I felt it was a waste of time, energy and money. read more

This is a great place to take young children (babies and toddlers) swimming. The warm springs pool is super warm; I believe the water temp is 91 degrees! We will definitely visit again! read more

I like the spring warm pool there as it is good for toddlers and beginner to learn swimming. However, the swimming class is with pool quality due to unskilled instructor and the kids there have no progress . I asked my friend who was professional swimmer to give my kids some instruction when she taught her own kids swimming. As friends, it is no charge from my friend. One of the staff sneakily swam to my friend and told her, she could not teach here as it impacts their swimming lesson business and we will be rejected to the pool. After checking their written policies posted, it says any business activities should contact them first. We are all disappointed and don't want to come again although they have a really nice pool for kids. read more
