There's a million KoAs out there, but this is definitely one of the better ones! There's a pool and splash pad making this a family friendly spot. The bicycle course (sign your waiver please) is huge, and there's a fishing pond. This rural spot is a great layover or a great destination. The camp store has cold drinks, frozen treats, and some groceries, but no beer/wine, so bring your own. The landscaping is lovely with huge sunflowers around the pool. On the weekends it looks like this campground has a snack shack. The bathrooms and picnic tables aren't exactly new, but the bathrooms were clean, and the staff were friendly. Yes you hear the highway at night, but yes, that means close proximity to getting on your way. Also at night, in the summer, was a gorgeous concert of fireflies. All around, this campground was a great escape. read more

This is a beautiful KOA located just off I-80. The staff is friendly and welcoming. We stayed in a deluxe cabin (which we have at other KOA's). It did not disappoint. We had a great fire pit area. The front porch had Adirondack chairs and a table. There was also a small grill on the porch. The cabin was clean and cozy. It had a bunk room and a queen size bed for sleeping. There was a small kitchen and a full bathroom. The fridge was bigger than a micro fridge and there was a microwave. There was plenty of restaurants to eat at in Bellefonte and the people in town were so nice as we spent the day exploring it. Bald Eagle State park is a few minutes away and definitely worth a visit. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone as the tent sites and Rv sites were amazing as well from what I saw. read more

This is a quiet, clean campground. There are plenty of pull through spots for my family's class C and level. There were amenities for the kids. These included a small pool with a splash pad next to a pavilion with tables and restrooms. There was a playground and mining in that area. There was a bounce pad, volleyball and basketball. (Bring your own balls.) and horseshoe pits and bocce ball. The store had toys, T-shirt's, candy, supplies for the camper, drinks, novelty ice cream, and a slush machine. (I went in with a child hence my areas of focus.) We actually made our own slush. He liked that. The bathrooms/showers were top notch. I like the space of a "real" bathroom and one peak I was hooked. It was hotel quality and spotless. I took a shower in the non-accessible bathroom so there were no hand held shower attachments. But the water was very hot and the pressure was great. I used a blow dryer on my hair and the electric worked fine. Yes, I did write a lot about the bathrooms, but seriously nice. read more

This stay was our 3rd trip to this KOA location. Have not been here since 4 years ago. previous stays were great. With that said,not sure if it is a new owner. But things have changed. Couple things to know ahead of time. If you are staying in a cabin Numbers 1 - 6 ALWAYS request #6. BECAUSE this camp ground is on a hill. If there is a heavy rain the entire area where the cabins are located turns into a rushing river and washes away leaving big ruts in the road. The only cabin that did not get hit with a heavy river of water was cabin #6. We were smart enough to watch the weather and move our car out of the danger zone. (we could see that this had recently happened and probably happens every time it rains) Also the refrigerator ran so loudly that it kept us up at night. The fire pit had been knocked down (or washed away) and never replaced. The deck floor around the cabin is starting to rot (not surprised due to the way the water was flowing right under the cabin) scary!!. Also frustrating was the WIFi - Horrible. An employee even said that it was bad. One of our TV's had to be replaced did not work. Very disappointed that there were no scheduled activities for the kids. Heard many complaining about it. Trampoline is NOW safely monitored due to it now being considered a Carnival ride by the State. Staff were nice. Maintenance man who lives on the grounds also helpful. The pool water was extremely warm , very nice. The pond is catch and release. Best thing to do at this camp ground is do a walk through first before paying and unpacking. Because you can then request a different location or go to the camp ground down the road. Hope things improve. read more

Very strict rules for everything. The pool closes early at 8pm. No life guard at the pool but an attendant at the bounce pillow and yells at the kids for everything and closes at 8. Says pet friendly but really not, got yelled at for bringing my small dog into the store to get ice. No dog signs everywhere. Gates even for car parking and need special badges to get in and out. They don't want your camper in front for longer than 15 minutes. No place to park your camper if you get there early. The pond has very limited access to fish and the pond is not stocked. Old side has tight spots but the new side is all sun. Not as many sponsored activities for the kids like other KOA's. Female staff has attitudes. We tried to see the positive and still had a good time. Pool was clean and lots of seating. Allowed early check in for a fee, which was handy. Store hours and prices were reasonable but they do not sell alcohol, BMX track was fun, neighbors were all nice. Great location. read more

We spent over 2 months here! Enjoyed every minute! The park is very well kept. The owners and workers are wonderful. We had multiple deliveries made here daily and they accepted these deliveries for our pickup with no complaints Rick even helped us back our 33' into our site ( first timers here). All the staff is awesome! There are a ton of activities for the kids over the weekends. If ever back in PA we will come back here for either a short stay or extended!!!!! read more

I really enjoy staying here, though my husband doesn't always like parking the rig (sloped entries on some sites). Love the quiet and location. Love even more that cell reception isn't great Wonderful for walking around. Lots of pull-through availability. read more

Bellefonte / State College KOA - Tiered pull-through sites - RV Parks Near Me - Bellefonte, Pennsylvania

We recently stayed at Bellefonte KOA and very much enjoyed our visit. I am rating it a 4 only because some sites are not very level, and require a 4-5 foot incline to enter the sites. There are 2 sections of the campground the old and new section. The old section has lots of trees and close sites, where the new section is much more open with no trees. The new section also has fairly level sites. Pool, bounce pad, pavilion, and restrooms were all clean and orderly. Staff was friendly, and there was a camp store however it only has the basics, so plan on having all that you need. We had a nice pull through site in the new section but our class A bus does have a lower ground clearance, so we had to back in to avoid hitting the rear bumper. read more

The campground is on a hill, so some of the spots have a little hill that goes up at the base then the area is leveled for your RV. The fire ring was a little too close to the little hill on our site, and I was afraid someone's chair would flip back. The campground otherwise was clean and well maintained. Friendly staff. Spent 4 nights in a camping lodge. It had a large pool and a children's water park. There is a pond for catch and release fishing and there are 3 very sweet ducks that will follow you around for food. The lodge was supplied with a gas grill, picnic table with umbrella, 2 patio chairs, TV, air conditioning, and a fire pit. All of the staff was friendly. It was close to a lot of activities. Would definitely stay at this camp again! read more

Very disappointed in the campground spaces. There is a steep incline into each that would certainly make it difficult fit a 40 footer to level. I was towing a motorcycle and had problems unloading. read more

The sites were very close together, but the pool was very nice for relaxing in. The staff was friendly, but the one thing I noticed compared to staying at other KOA campgrounds is they don't escort you to your site and the restrooms weren't as clean as others. Both dumpsters were over flowing garbage and needed emptied when we got there before the weekend, by the time we left it was piled beside them. Other than a couple house keeping things that could be fixed very easy, not a bad camp ground. read more

We arrived after hours and there wasn't a single flat RV site. We saw an RV off the rear wheels to level out. The front of the trailer we were pulling dug into the ground while driving up the hill onto our site. We decided to move to a "flatter" site than the one we were assigned. We couldn't use electric in the new site because it was the wrong service for our RV. They still charged us $67 for the night and electric. read more

Kid happy, adults not entirely impressed. "Beds" were not beds. The twins were no more than a 3 inch foam mattress ON THE FLOOR. The queen in the bedroom was more like a full foam RV mattress with no innerspring so 2 grown ppl sink to the hard platform. The futon was a plastic covered thin foam mattress that smelled like butt (in fact, we called it the butt couch. The bathroom was a decent size; could use another shelf or more hooks. Felt like everything was piled at the sink with no alternate options. We used the patio, pool, fishing pond and even tried "panning for gold" in the kid's mining sluice. Nice appearing elevated stone fire place, however, generated zero warmth on a chilly night because it was so tall. The cabin appeared to be somewhat accessible however, there's gravel everywhere around the ramps so not really accessible. Parking at the cabin was abysmal. Everything is on a hill, and they way they cut out most of the drives, if can accommodate 1.5 vehicles. Some folks got away with parking 2-3 cars. We were scolded multiple times by inhospitable staff on a 4 wheeler for having a second car as we had our hands full offloading child, groceries, etc. Not to mention, this KOA is fairly expensive for not being near anything. Not sure we'll be back for that sort of hospitality. read more

Nice rural campground 20 minutes north of State College. Camp sites are kept Nice. Large campsites for large 5th wheels and motor homes. Deluxe sites have concrete patios and are Nice large site. I have my 43' motorhome and car in a deluxe site and lots of room for awning. Nice table with chairs and concrete fire pit all part of the patio. Good power quality and ample water pressure. The campground was wonderful with lots of activities for kids and adults. The pool was nice and there was a basketball court, volleyball and fishing pond. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. The restroom and shower facilities were awesome, very large clean bathrooms. The campground is on a little bit of a hill, but the sites are not difficult to get into. I would highly recommend this campground. We will definitely be back. read more
