She even memorized my immediate family's names so that it would be easy to grab their attention during the event. She handled my 400 guest event seamlessly. I want to get married again so I can hire her. She's definitely coming along for our vow renewals when that happens.

During the lesson she taught us lots of practical tips to make our photos look better (techniques for framing, how to find good lighting, exposure settings for specific lighting conditions etc). Her lesson was tailored to our abilities and equipment. The pictures she took for our family portraits were also amazing. She got so many great ones of our 3yr old and infant daughters. These were definitely better than anything we could have taken. The experience was really worth it and we highly recommend Oliva to anyone looking to learn about photography or wanting a photo session.

She made both me and my camera shy husband feel comfortable in front of the camera, which isn't an easy task to do. Not only did we feel comfortable, but we had a great time. I wish I could get my picture taken every day by Whitney and hire her to travel around with me taking my vacation photos. I loved working with her and most of all I loved the photos she took! She rocks! I recommend her services to anyone for wedding, engagement, family, maternity, or whatever photos.

I was fortunate enough to discover Inked Fingers while on the hunt for a reasonably priced photographer that could deliver more than just a picture - an artistic touch - and have a personality I could click with. We worked with Carli on our engagement session and Carli and John during our wedding. They are professional, sweet, easy to work with, creative and just amazing photographers and people in general. Inked Fingers exceeded our expectations and I look forward to working with them in the future - family portraits, baby pictures and maybe even boudoir!! (Yes, Carli shoots boudoir sessions!)

They completely captured special moments between my husband and I. To be able to glance at a photo and feel the love shared between two people radiating truly takes talent to capture. Beyond that they are a blessing to work with. They are understanding, accommodating, professional and just plain comfortable to shoot with. With Carli and John they completely put your mind at ease. They are so organized and on top of things. She was constantly emailing me and calling to just check in on me. She was always available if I needed her. It was astounding how many compliments we received from our friends and family. A word of advice....I've had so many of my friends disappointed with their wedding photos and regretted taking the time to find just the right photographer or even skimped on the choosing a suitable photographer. DON'T make the same mistake because it's a moment that only happens once and you'll never get back or be able to recreate it. To Carli and John beyond being our photographers you both are amazing people . We are lucky enough to be able to call you friends now but on top of that you have beautifully captured the most special moment in our lives and we will be forever grateful.

I want to preface this review by saying I had to search really hard for a photographer that had…read moreexperience photographing people of color in a flattering manner. I interviewed other photographers before Ash and some stated they photographed darker skin tones before but had ZERO evidence of that in their portfolios. As you can imagine, this was a frustrating process because I do not want to pay a photographer to be their guinea pig on my special day! The photographer that could show me a person of color even stated that the photos were kind of gray and washed out because he usually uses a gray filter for paler tones and that's what people typically request!! I asked if he could take the SINGLE photo back to the drawing board and edit it so that the color is more saturated and he told me he wasn't interested. There's a really good buzzfeed video about this very issue from the videographers of the show Insecure. In short, regardless of your skin tone, if you want to spend your hard earned cash on someone that truly cares about your appearance on your special day, Ash is for you. She is very bubbly and friendly. She is a great listener and remembers everything. She even wore my wedding colors. She was early to the site (two hours away from Austin) and left late. I'm not expecting anyone to do this but I'm just telling you what happened. I did my own makeup and she took shots of my face multiple times to ensure I wasn't making any terrible mistakes. We discussed ahead of time that I am a fan of candid shots and she caught plenty of those!! Poor Ash had to jump in the very very back of my cousin's SUV to ride with me to the altar due to the setup of the venue. She even traipsed through the woods with us to get those important wilderness shots. And best of all, the sunset photos. The sunset photos brought out so many colors that were actually there but barely visible during our November wedding. I don't have a single complaint about Ash! I have been thinking for a month now for something critical to say. I have asked my partner and she can't come up with anything either. All I can say is that the pictures were amazing, the color saturation was there, we weren't faded and washed out and the pictures were crystal clear. I hate posed photos and even those where we are posing do not look staged. We received the photos before the date on our contract and she was super patient with my random text messages stating "where are my pics??". Her website is super cute and accessible and our family loves it. She was professional but nice enough to get along with my family and chat with them during the wedding to make them feel comfortable. She got my mom to take off her perpetual sunglasses so I finally have good pictures of my mom! If you like her photos, then book her.
