Beautiful site. Elegance and education at its finest. Wine, bourbon, and food pairing was well done. I was extremely surprised by the accurate homage paid to the enslaved who cultivated this family's wealth.

Wine tasting

Enjoyed the house tour with my friend and wine tasting included with a tour. Glad to try new local wine that were different flavors from what I'm used to. I purchased the Blackberry, my favorite from the wine tasting and the Red Muscadine for my sister bc she likes raspberry flavors. I plan to order more Blackberry wine in the near future, which wine can also be purchased online.

Belle Meade is fairly underwhelming as both a property and a winery. The property is nice to walk around on (free) but I wouldn't bother doing an in house or segway tour again. Also, it's just so important we recognize that 130+ slaves were kept on this property. Any artifact or impressive construction on the property is a result of their labor. Moving on to the wine, I wasn't impressed. Their signature wines are super fruity. If you are to do a tour, take advantage of the tasting by asking to try special types you are interested in. The staff was super easy to talk to and friendly.

Belle Meade winery was a great day trip! The winery is located on a beautiful site in Belle Meade very close to Nashville and has plenty of parking. We booked a food and wine pairing ahead of showing up. We checked in at the gift show when we arrived and they guided us to the wine tasting room. The wine tasting and food pairing itself was amazing! Our sommelier was very nice, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience great! Afterwards we walked around the property which is very beautiful! There's a flower garden, a game area, a distillery, a long walking path as well as the mansion which also has a separate tour. Definitely looking to going back and also trying the distillery tour next time. Highly recommend!

Great tour of the historic mansion. If you have knee problems, it's a challenge as there are stairs and you are standing the whole time. The property is charming, but no photos allowed, even with your flash off. BOO HOO. The whole tour ends with a wine tasting. I think you get about 4 tastes. Some of the wines were excellent. The property is quite large, you can walk around on the pathway. Their gift shop is pretty huge!

We visited Belle Meade Winery this weekend for the first time, and it was such a lovely experience. For starters, the winery is really easy to find and has lots of free parking. Everything is well labeled. When we checked in at the visitors center for our wine tasting, we were given a really helpful map of the grounds and instructions for how to get to the tasting room. Our wine and food pairing started right on time, and our sommelier Maddie was incredible! She was friendly, knowledgeable, and and gave great recommendations. We tried five wines paired with five delicious, bite-sized snacks. It's been over 24 hours, and I haven't stopped thinking about how delicious the food was. Following our pairing, we tried a wine Maddie recommended, then each purchased a glass of wine to enjoy while exploring the grounds. (The Race Day White really hit the spot!) The garden was super cute, and I enjoyed the area with free games like croquet and mini-golf, as well. We didn't check out the one mile walking trail due to the heat, but I can't wait to do so on our next visit.

Went on the Bourbon tour and absolutely loved it! Came for my dad's bday and he was overjoyed ! COVID PRECAUTIONS: none existent, it's Nashville TOUR EXPERIENCE: intimate and fantastic. My mother got litty lit but she's a lightweight, so just watch out! But great fun experience and learned some interesting stuff! 11/10 recommend if you are in Nashville. Purchased 2 of the bourbon glasses. Pricey but cute souvenir Afterwards we went to the gift shop where we had a wine tasting as well. This wasn't extra

My mom and I went for a tour and wine tasting. We started with the house tour. We had a pretty large group so going from room to room took a little while. I was also curious about what information they'd share. Of course, they had very little to share about the 100+ slaves who lived and worked on the property. I understand why but it doesn't make it easier to experience. The wine tasting felt rushed and lacked the warmth I'm accustomed to feeling when having what I thought we be a fun activity. The pourers seemed annoyed with the size of the group and, for the price, this was the first wine tasting I've ever attended where we couldn't keep the glasses. I chose this activity because it's right up my mom's alley. She loves antiques, old homes and wine. So, for her, and especially after a few gift store purchases, she enjoyed it thoroughly. Maybe it was because it was cold and rainy and gloomy but I was a little underwhelmed. I was expecting to see more of the house and like the wines more. Wasn't my thing but since she had a good time, it was worth the one visit.

If you like history and wine this must be a stop for you in Nashville! Belle Meade is more than just a wintery; it is an experience. I visited here two days back to back. The first day my sister and I bought a bottle of wine and walked the grounds. You are able to read posted signs to learn about the history. For an additional purchase, you can get tickets for a guided tour of the grounds and in the historic buildings. This winery would be a great venue for weddings and other events. They have a beautiful outdoor space for a ceremony as well as plenty of space for a party / reception in the stables & carriage house. Please note that the tasting room is small. To drink your glass of wine or bottle purchased you have to go outside to enjoy it. Make sure it's a nice day! Day two at Belle Meade was for the Food and Wine pairing. I don't know if I liked the food or the wine better! Rachel was our host. She is knowledgable about wine and provided fun conversation. I do not eat fish or duck. However, I ate my entire plate because it was that good! The foods truly enhanced the wines' taste. Usually food and wine pairings are with meats, cheese, and breads. This is way different yet way great! Make sure you read the description of your experience to understand what you will be tasting. If you have any food allergies, make sure you request AHEAD of time a few days in advance. They were able to create an entire different menu for my sister which was gluten free (celiac safe) and dairy free.

The property currently consists of 15 acres but in 1807 it was 250 acres. The mansion was built in 1853. There are several ticket options. We chose the Mansion tour which includes the outside grounds, out buildings and a wine tasting . Our tour guide Emma was knowledgeable, friendly and encouraged questions. She did an excellent job of explaining the history of the estate and answering questions. The wine tasting was informative and we enjoyed 2 of the 5 wines. Touring the properties other buildings is self guided. There is an on site restaurant and Ice Cream shop.

This review is for the bourbon tasting experience. This is a must do! It's an hour long in a swanky building on the plantation grounds. So informative! I learned things about the plantation and city. Becky was our steward and she was amazing! So knowledgeable! We made a mint julep drink, had a shot of bourbon and an old fashioned. Definitely pick this experience you won't regret it.

We did the house tour followed by the food and wine pairing. I enjoyed learning the history of the plantation. The wine was good and very interesting. I liked the blackberry and concord grape ones the best as they were so unique and will make some great sangria.

Belle Meade Winery is a wonderful way to spend your afternoon. We enjoyed a wine tasting and walked around the property. They have cheese, chocolate and wine for sale in their tasting room. They also have a restaurant that serves meat and three. They have mini golf, horse shoes and bocce ball for entertainment. The property is stunning. This is a great place to take a group! Beautiful !!

It was fun going on the tour and walking the grounds. The wine tasting seemed rushed but not a bad experience by any means.

She touched on the good and the ugly. I didn't feel like she was "glorifying" anything. It's almost like some people just don't like history. History can be ugly somtimes, news flash. I love historical places and this place was cool! You really feel the energy here. It's pretty cool. The only part that sucks is that you're not allowed to take photos. Prices are good for toure too. It comes with a wine tasting at the end and a couple of them were super tasty! And I don't even like wine.

The tour focused on glorifying the slave owners' "heritage" while minimizing the enslaved people who actually built the wealth and success of this place. That kind of selective storytelling is disrespectful. The wine tasted awful once I realized the truth was being watered down. Seeing people arrive for a wedding on the grounds as we were leaving? Disgusting. Celebrating on land rooted in exploitation, without fully honoring that history, is not romantic. It's erasure. I don't do rewritten history. Tell the whole truth or don't tell it at all.

We started with a wine flight and took their recommendations on a variety of varietals. The Vin Lamar a Sparkling Chardonnay was my favorite. We paired this with a charcuterie board complete with bread, Prosciutto, Gouda and Brie cheese, grapes, strawberries and honey. Near by was some great live music inside (mostly country). The tasting room also provides to go drinks for guests to walk around the rest of the farmers market. As well as a wine slushy option. We'd never had Natchez Hills wine before so we started with two flights. Mine had three whites and a red, and my boyfriend's had two whites, a red, and a rose. We also ordered a large charcuterie board, and it was absolutely delicious - there was a hard and soft cheese, different meats, fruit, and bread. I also tried a red wine slushie and really enjoyed it. The selling point for us was that it was such a positive environment. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. The winery is next to live music, which added a really fun element. We've visited other wineries in the Nashville area and found the pricing here to be super reasonable. The Farmer's Market parking lot can get full depending on the time of day, but there's additional parking as you go toward the Sounds Stadium.

Fun, unique experience for horse lovers…read more Overall great, but this is a review so I'll start with the good, then get to the "could be better." 1) It's beautifully set up. The barn is clean, pretty, and has special spots for pictures and retail. Music is going and the videos are being played on the tv above the tasting station. 2) locally & woman owned business! Nuff said. 3) greeted by an 8 week old puppy during our visit, which was very fun, more entertaining than the horses IMO. 4) The owner takes the time to learn about what she's giving you to taste and drink, which is nice! 5) Great picture taking opportunities! 6) we had to reschedule because of a family emergency of one of the party members, and the owner was incredibly easy to work with to make sure we could still attend without losing any money or the experience. Customer service was great. Could make a better experience: Price - $60 seemed fair for something unique but then you add on the fees/taxes and it's $74.25 per person, not sure where that additional ~$15 goes but I'd be much more inclined to return if there's a way to pay without the additional fees. (Also, website descriptions say $55 then the price is $60 - fix to match increase.) We definitely thought there would be more to do with the horses. Even if customers can't do something, maybe show off any tricks or special things the horses to make it more about the Equine than the Wine! Overall, if you love horses and are looking for something different to do in Nashville, this is it! We came by for happy hour and light bites and were pleasantly surprised by their great deals. The $5 glasses of wine (plus a few other happy hour options) made it an easy choice. With the amazing early spring weather, we opted to sit outside in their patio garden area, which was such a cute and relaxed spot. For food we ordered the bruschetta, whipped goat cheese, and meatballs. The whipped goat cheese was the clear standout--it came with blueberry compote and hot honey so you could go sweet or slightly spicy. The blueberry compote with the goat cheese was honestly to die for. The bruschetta was also really tasty with great flavor, and I appreciated the thinner crostini slices. The meatballs came with three generously sized meatballs and were good, but not quite as standout as the other two dishes. Service at the bar was a little slow, but I honestly felt bad because there was only one bartender handling an increasingly busy bar. Despite that, the food actually came out fairly quickly.
