Next thing I know they repossessed the vehicle costing me thousands in their fees and towing fees. Bought a car from a person who had a lien with Bellco CU. Payed off the persons loan and was waiting for the title. 3 weeks went by so I called. They said they already mailed it. I asked for tracking info and they have none as they say they sent it regular mail. They're saying it must have been lost and it's between me and the post office. After many calls they've sent me a release of lien and told me to go to the county of the seller and get a title if I want it. It's an hour from my house and I have no idea how to do this. I've paid them 15000.00 and they refuse to get me a title. I may have to take legal action now against their account holder and them. Never buy a car from someone with a lien at Bellco. I will never bank with them based on their handling of titles and this situation. read more

I went to Bellco after talking ~45 minutes to a Customer Service Representative over the phone that was apparently new and kept chatting with others at Bellco trying to get answers to my questions. I finally decided to go into the branch because she said they would help me with more information there. I even asked if I needed an appointment but she said the branch takes walk-ins. I get to the branch and was greeted by a pleasant lady that later on identified herself as the branch manager. She notified Miranda that I needed assistance. She and Miranda listened to my requests (I had 2), but the manager told me that I was not able to open the account I was wanting without pre-filled out paperwork and needed an appointment even though I had been an established member for 10+ years. I said ok, I wasn't told that over the phone, but I still wanted to have someone at Bellco address why a company was trying to make a deposit INTO my account - and according to this vendor, Bellco was rejecting said payment into my account even though Bellco had years of history of deposits from this company and I had not changed anything! So the manager and Miranda both listened and the manager said Miranda would investigate this and to follow her and sit in the cubicle. I followed Miranda, when she asked for my id I promptly gave her both (I had renewed my driver's license a little early so I had both ids that were valid). I asked if she needed my account number as well but she said 'No', the driver's license was enough. Miranda went into my account and handed me back the older license that was going to expire in a month but kept the newer license saying she needed a copy of it. She started asking me questions that I answered but I asked her to make a copy of my license because I wanted it back (since she had successfully identified me) so I wouldn't forget it . She ignored my request and started asking me other questions so I asked her again to make a copy of the newer driver's license and we'd continue the discussion. She refused and told me that in order for her to answer any of my questions she needed to hold my license. Disgusted I pulled out my social security card and told her I was glad I hadn't given her that or she would have kept it as well. I had come with all my identification including latest tax return because I had thought I was going to be able to open another account (mind you I already had a personal checking and savings account with them for over 15 years) but apparently they didn't have the time to do this for me. Since Miranda wouldn't help me unless she held on to my identification (even though she was done with identifying me) I told Miranda to forget it. At first I told her to close my accounts, but I immediately told her to leave them as they are. I didn't want a rep with an attitude to push me to get rid of accounts I had for that long. She said I could take my license, she did NOT hand me my driver's license back. I had to reach over and retrieve my newest driver's license since it was my personal identification / property. I immediately went back to the lady that I had talked to when I first walked in the door but she was helping someone else. After waiting a while I decided to the teller's desk and ask for a manager. I had to wait for the teller because he was helping another lady. Once done he had to stop this other lady because he hadn't given her license back. I laughed - that was EXACTLY why I wanted my driver's license returned to me after they did their identification. The teller was very nice, once up I requested a manager and he immediately told me to walk around to the front and a manager would help me. Well, the branch manager ended up being the lady I started with. She gave me no business card to identify herself, but I explained to her my interaction with Miranda. She listened and told me she would talk to Miranda in private later to see what her story was. That's understandable - I get that the manager was trying to hear both sides, but in the end, I left with no manager's card and no indication of follow-up from the manager. The manager had said that branch of Bellco had been through a number of managers and she was new - I can totally see why if this type of thing goes on. Note that I was NOT trying to get any money from my accounts, I was trying to resolve the issue the vendor was reporting to me about Bellco refusing a deposit from them. Even though I identified myself, was willing to give Miranda specific account information so she could bring up my accounts (which she declined), I was treated by Miranda like I was some sort of fraudulent person. I called later and requested a call back from the district manager. I was told they would call me back the next day. The district manager never bothered to call. If I could give a negative stars review, I would. Gratefully there are much better places to bank! read more

I've been with Bellco for just over a year and my experience has been nothing but great-my visit to this branch was no exception! I actually stopped in because after setting up my Paypal account, which asked for my online banking login info, I was locked out of my online banking. To unlock, I needed to call the customer care line (which I've done in the past) or visit a branch. Since I couldn't find time to call during normal hours, I decided to stop into a branch near work on my lunch break. And again, like all things Bellco-it was so quick and painless! The teller greeted me warmly and asked how she could help me. I let her know I had been locked out, and all she needed was my driver license. literally about a minute later, I was back in! She asked me if I needed anything else, and let me know that they had an internet cafe I could use to make sure I could get in. I stopped on their computer on the way out to double check, and I was all set! Another great experience! read more

My husband and I wanted to get our Wills notarized. I called and made an appointment. The person I spoke with said we'd need our own witnesses but never once mentioned they don't notarize wills. Friends who had taken time out of their Saturday met us at this location for our SCHEDULED appointment only to be told by the manager that they don't notarize wills. Never ONCE was this mentioned when I made the appointment. I stated that to the manager and she started grilling me about who I talked to and did I say it was a will to be notarized. I said I talked to one of their employees and said I needed an appt to notarize a will. All the manager said was she'd educate her staff. What a waste of time. Another branch said they'd do it but had no one to do it on a Saturday. That's why we went out of our way to go to this branch. If I could give a negative star review, I would. I'd like to say thank you to the manager and her incompetent staff for wasting our time and that of our two friends. After we left this branch we drove to a different one to conduct other banking. They were great. I'll be writing a positive review for the Centennial branch on Orchard Road. Lone Tree branch could learn something about customer service from them! read more

I have been a member at Bellco for over 20 years. In the beginning it was fantastic, but as they have made it their goal to change their business model and become "big banking", they have made more money and members have suffered. They don't pay a high enough wage to keep employees and turnover is constant. Reviews are consistently horrible for all locations. My last straw was when I sold a vehicle and met the buyer at Bellco to do paperwork. I asked the employee (who wasn't alive when I became a member), if she would make us an extra copy of the bill of sale and was told..."oh no our policy is we can't do that". Congratulations Bellco, you wanted to be big banking, and you are. read more

I would strongly advise against using this company for any mortgage needs. We have a home loan with Bellco and had an insurance claim recently. I was told by Bellco that the signed contract for the roof repairs was not enough to release any of the funds to me. In addition I was told that that was "their money". This is the second claim we have had on the house and two years ago when we had hail damage the funds were released quickly so we could make repairs. Now I am out of pocket money for repairs that were made - screens, windows, door etc with no sign of that coming anytime soon. I will be looking to move my mortage to a more reasonable bank as soon as possible. I did want to recognize Amanda at the call center. She tried her best to help me but unfortunately her hands were tied. read more

The only reason for any response is because of we raised hell about how we were treated& discovered that unknown to us the 1099r had not yet been filed!! The matter has been resolved but not due to the volition of Bellco.If you look at the Bellco response to customer complaints the answer is always the same. I walked into this credit union to do a deposit to my credit union. I walked in there and thought how nice it looked and was actually going to ask them to become my new credit union. I walked out wishing I had never walked in. The tellers were more concerned about an announcement from Douglas County schools, so two of three were on their iPhones checking email. I understand that in this day and age of helicopter parents that they'd be concerned about something going on at the school, but this is a place of business and it should be unacceptable for tellers to have their personal phones on the floor. When I got up to the teller, I had 3 checks to deposit. One of the checks was a bit beat up and wrinkled (it was in my suitcase which got wet the previous night) and she proceeded to berate me, saying that checks like this are normally unacceptable due to security concerns. I held my tongue. She then deliberately took her sweet time to process everything, chatting with the other teller about this Douglas County school issue. After 5 minutes of this unfriendly teller running my checks through some scanner that she was adamant was required, and having the checks not work in said scanner, I demanded them back and left. She was rude throughout the entire transaction, and when I demanded the money back she simply set them on the counter and said "Next!" Needless to say, not only will I not be switching to Bellco credit union, but I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and consider pursuing legal action. read more

I chose this location because it's down the street and within my credit union's coop. It took 30 minutes to make a deposit. I get that it's busy, but the front counter personnel were literally scrambling back and forth between the front counter and the drive thru. I even spoke with the manager on duty (06/27/15) and she was anything but apologetic, whilst she remained idle at her desk, unwilling to assist in any way possible. Completely unprofessional and a complete waste of time considering I could have gone to my original branch and saved half the time. read more

I've been a member of Bellco for about three years. Until recently, they have been a good place to park some money in an auxiliary account. In August of 2015 I purchased a HELOC. Since then I've never received a monthly bill despite the many attempts to have them sent to me. They said they would begin sending them to me for my December payment, but I never get a monthly bill, I only get a nasty gram from their collections department with a late fee ( another way for them to get in your wallet for their absurd profits). If you like this kind of service, then Bellco is for you. ALSO- I wrote this while waiting on Bellcos phone line to the Lonetree branch. After being on hold for 13 minutes, a person asked for my acct number, I asked if she was from the Lone Tree branch, she said she was a call center, I asked her to patch me through to my LOCAL branch then.... SHE HUNG UP ON ME!!! So here's the update... I had to go into my local branch where they did resolve my statement issue. It was a nice gesture for Mr Andrew H to reach out to me to resolve my statement issue, however, he was okay with the sub-par customer service I received from their call center where I was rudely hung up on and did not get a call back to apologize, nor did Mr Andrew H apologize for his rude associate at the call center. This is why I only bumped them up to a two star. read more

Don't bank with Bellco. I don't know what happened to this credit union but when I first moved out to Colorado they were wonderful. Then something changed. The staff inside...dumb, can't do anything, they just walk away without saying anything to customers and go behind a door, and then once you are beyond frustrated they put that plastic smile on their face and pretend your are important. Their customer service department...horrible. How dare anyone speak to me in the tone they used and then once I called him on it...he hung up. This is how they handle situations. Nothing that I have done, just calling them out on they can't apply payments correctly, can't send paperwork out correctly and I asked "Why". Well he hung up. Run from this bank. There are a ton of other credit unions that are way better and they appear to want your business. read more

Don't go to this branch to report fraudulent activity on your account. I met with a manager who had me fill out a form (found out later that it was the wrong form) and said she would submit it to the appropriate department for the fraudulent activity. I requested that it be noted on my account that any future attempted charges on my account from that company not be allowed to go through. She said that wasn't possible because if she did it for me she would have to do it for all of her customers. This is baffling to me since fraudulent activity has become so common. Wouldn't they want to take preventative steps so this does not happen again???? Also, after 8 days, my account had not been credited the fraudulent charges. I had to call customer service to discover that the manager at the branch had never submitted the form I filled out and handed to her. Unbelievable! read more

If I could give a negative star I would. This branch and bank is absurd. I first went there to open 2 accounts, signed in...waited 20 minutes and was never even greeted. I decided to leave and open the accounts on-line. I funded the accounts, waited a week, the money was returned to me because I "needed to go to the branch and sign something with my id". Um, I will never go to the branch again. Even the manager just looked at me and walked back to the back without saying a word to me. I called the 800 # and I asked to refund my $30 that it took to even open the accounts on-line, guess what, I need to go to the branch to close the account now. You didn't need me to go to the branch to give you the $30. Unreal. Terrible customer service. The $30 isn't even worth my time to go to this ridiculous bank. DO NOT USE BELLCO FOR A LOAN IF YOU CAN AVOID IT! I purchased a vehicle over 3 months ago, and Bellco still has not finalized the loan and has no clue. Don't think that the customer service dept can help you, they will just try to call another dept internal to Bellco and will be unable to get a hold of them. They'll then transfer you to their voice mail, and you will never hear back from them again. Very frustrating to deal with, very poor internal processes at Bellco. Nice enough people, but you'll get the runaround. read more

This is the worst place to do any kind of business. I refinanced one of my vehicles with these guys and has been nothing but a nightmare from that day. They have all my info for automatic withdraw of my truck payment. But 30 days later they send me a late notice and a $15 late fee. Bellco then sends me letters asking me to please call them and remit payment. There are 4 different numbers on the letters, all go directly to automated phone service, which is a JOKE! I have auto loans with this place not checking account. So when i called in the speak with customer service, there was none. It asked me to enter a 6 digit pin number, which i don't have because i don't bank with them, just Auto loans. Without this pin number you cant speak or do anything, including make a payment, which is all i wanted to do. Tried calling any one of the branches in Denver area, all set up with the same automated message. So, i drive an hour to Denver to pay bill at Lonetree location. When i get there, the lady tells me that she cant accept payment without routing and account info from the bank i regularly use, but she did give me the pin number i needed. She told me that if i went to any ENT Credit Union I could pay bill cause they were shared branches. WRONG! Only 4 locations 2 of which are on base, other in Monument, other Downtown. NIGHTMARE! I have now spent almost 5 hours drinving around just trying to pay my bill that was delinquent only because their automatic withdraw system runs like 2 months behind. But didnt bother to tell me that. Seems like a pretty easy way to make money on late fees, and a really easy way to loose a customer for life. If i could, i wouldn't give them any stars. Now i cant get them to take late fee off! And when expressing my anger the guy on the phone just hangs up on me. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. read more
