The boat was impecable and he really made us feel like we were just going on a boat ride with a good friend, he even got us a surprise birthday cake when he found out it was my birthday . To top it off I was traveling with my puppy and they became best friends even staying with her on the boat when she was tired of swimming but I still wanted to swim a bit more lol. Truly the best! Even though the plan was 1 boat day we added a second because Day 1 was great and it was the same price to go on a tour of Positano/Amalfi by boat than by van....and obviously there's no comparison on the experience there. We can't wait to go back! P.S. tell him to tell you about the little cafe on the port when you return so you can have a spritz and watch the sunset, the view is awesome

Well when we took a luxury charter…read morewith Sorrento Luxury Day Charter and Tours, that is exactly how Robbie and his crew made us feel! You'll be on the Tornado 45 Express, a very sleek and luxurious all-white boat. The boat is fully stocked with drinks and small bites and so you can enjoy an impressive array of saltine snacks while indulging on some prosecco or champagne. I mean how cool is that? The ride is so smooth. I normally get sea-sick on any type of vessel but because of Robbie's handling of the boat and the boat's spacious and very luxurious area, I felt fresh as a daisy throughout. After you've taken a dip in that crystal clear blue water, you can use the boat's built-in shower spray to get fresh and clean for the next destination. Definitely got a kick out of that! Honestly you'll get a fair share of people gawking and looking at your charter because how many people can say they had a private luxury boat to themselves? Well, you can once you take a trip with them. Robbie really is the man. He's inherited the business from his father and has been manning Luxury Charter for 10 years now. He and his father have had some of the most high-profile clientele including Jay-Z, Beyonce, Serena Williams, and more! Knowing that, I totally understand why celebrities would want to book with Robbie. He truly makes anyone, from the A-list celebs to regular tourists like us, feel like a million bucks. For the social media savvy, Robbie knows the best spots to get that perfect profile picture for Facebook or get that stellar photo you need to get a ton of likes in Instagram. He'll even take the picture for you and get you in the right poses. He should know, he's pretty active of Facebook and Instagram himself! After traveling with Robbie and Sorrento Luxury Day Charter and Tours, I am convinced there is only one true way to explore the South of Italy. To be truly uninhibited and to have a once-in-a-lifetime experience, I recommend booking a trip with them. You won't regret it and you'll definitely never forget it. Worth every euro. I can't wait to go on another boat ride with them!

During…read moreour 5 days in the Amalfi Coast we had 2 charters with Sorrento Luxury Charters - one full day Capri Boat Trip and one full day on the Amalfi Coast celebrating my birthday. I worked with Adele beforehand to make all the arrangements as I am located in the US. She was very professional, provided full details about what would be included with the charter, and worked with me to build a custom schedule for my birthday. Communication beforehand was great, and we were blown away to find out they were offering an upgrade from the 35 ft Gagliotta to the 45 ft Tornado Express for our trip to Capri. Although I have no doubt every boat in Robbie's fleet is absolutely flawless. As expected, Rosa met us at the dock the morning of our departure and when we returned that evening to make sure we had everything we needed. The boat was absolutely gorgeous and the Captain, Eduardo, was simply the best! He was charming and engaging always making sure he stopped to show us the best places along the way and finding little coves for us to stop and swim, a waterfall, taking pictures for us at each spot, and taking us to the absolute best restaurants we ate at during our entire trip. He also made sure we had plenty of snacks and drinks throughout our trip and wanted for nothing. Little did I know that my friend had coordinated with Adele and team to make arrangements for our second trip - making sure that my favorite drinks were onboard, as well as a birthday cake, sparkler candles, a balloon and more! After returning from a stop to swim, Eduardo and his assistant surprised me by bringing out the birthday cake, balloon, and singing Happy Birthday! I cannot describe what an amazing day it was and how much the Sorrento Luxury Charter team did to ensure it was unforgettable. If you have any hesitation in booking with them - don't - they are absolutely the best in the business. Please feel free to message me if you have any questions!

Taking a boat tour around the blue waters / grottos of Capri is something you'll definitely want to do if you are visiting. There seemed to be a variety of public tour boats around, but for a little bit of a splurge there are several companies that will take you out on a private boat. Amidst the many private tour companies, Capri Relax is a great option. The half day tour is three hours, and for us that was more than enough time. I believe they also have full day options. The boat was clean and spacious and had more than enough room for two of us. They provide you with fresh towels, snacks and sunscreen. There is also a cooler where you can keep drinks, so I suggest picking up some water + alcoholic bevvies to enjoy. Our tour guide (hey Constantino!) was super friendly and gave us some great information about the area. Plus he was a wonderful photog. We had plans to see the blue grotto (and it was actually open that day which isn't always the case). But when we arrived we were one of the many boats on line. After finding out the wait was 1.5 hours we opted to skip out. It just didn't seem worth it to spend half of our boat time waiting on a line. Plus, we still got to see a ton of other beautiful grottos. Our boat docked at least 4 or 5 times and we were able to jump out and swim around. I believe this tour was around $250 for two of us. Considering what we got -- ((three hours of being toured around on a private luxury boat)) this didn't feel so over the top. Would absolutely book again if I found myself in Capri, and if you are visiting I'd urge you to do the same.

The boats themselves have a padded front half covered in towels so you can lay out. The fee wasn't exorbitant, costing slightly more if you want to go in the blue grotto--which usually has a wait, unless you go during off-peak times. It gets a bit chilly at times, so bring appropriate clothing just in case.

We got on the boat at the port in Praiano, and made a quick stop in Positano to pick up some more passengers. Our tour guide, Valentina, was amazing and spoke English, Italian and Spanish, making everyone on board very comfortable. Antonio, the captain was great and made a point to spin the boat around at each stop so folks on all sides of the boat could get a prime view. Valentina pointed out sights on the peninsula along the way and we did a full circumference of Capri before the day was over. Unlimited beers, sodas and water is included and they even brought us some snacks along the way. We stopped at all grottos (incl the famous blue grotto) plus a swimming spot, and then got a 4-hour window of free time on Capri to explore. The ride back to Praiano included some Prosecco and pastries to finish the day. If you're looking for a fun and relaxed way to get to Capri and see some of the coast by boat, look no further than L'Uomo e il Mare by Plaghia Charter!!

They dropped us off at the Marina Grande in Capri and you are free to explore the island for 4 hours. They suggested buying a picnic lunch by the dock (cured meats, cheese, bread, etc), grab a convertible cab ride to the gandola, ride the gandola to the top of Ana Capri, take in the view of the Faraglioni (eat lunch), and then do some shopping in Capri. When we got back to the boat, they gave us a 360 tour of Capri by stopping at every grotto (Blue, Green, and White) and passing under the Faraglioni. They also gave us prosecco and traditional Italian cake. There were also a few swimming breaks when we got to swim in a few bays / hidden caves. The tour of the Blue Grotto is not included in the cost of the tour, but we jumped in a row boat for €25 for a quick stop inside the grotto (it's an obligatory tourist stop, but way overrated). Overall, it was a memorable and highly recommended tour.

We exchanged many e-mails about a walking tour and a boat tour around Capri which included a transfer to Positano. The day tour was simply spectacular. Our guide was born in Capri but educated in England and his English (and Italian of course) was impeccable. It was like touring with a history professor only there was no test at the end! We walked all through Anacapri at the top of the island visiting many fascinating churches, villas and small cafe's and specialty shops. We then took one of the many open top taxi's to the center of the island and walked all through the small cobblestone back streets and alleys seeing things you would simply never know were there without a guide. Our tour finished with an incredible lunch overlooking the sea and a list of other things to see didn't require a guide which we did over the next few days. When it came time to leave Capri we met our boat captain at the Grande Marina where he took us to the boat we had selected on-line. It was a 38' power boat with a dressing room and restroom below and a huge deck out back to enjoy the sun. We circumnavigated the island stopping at the Blue Grotto (a must see), sped under the Faraglioni where it is traditional to kiss as you pass through and then stopped at a fantastic ocean side restaurant on the way to Capri that looked like it was only accessible by boat. It was like a scene out of a movie with old Italian guys sitting around playing board games and drinking local wine in their bathing suits. The food was simply unreal and the experience of arriving by private boat renewed my interest in playing the lottery. After lunch we stopped for a swim at the private island Li Galli that was owned by Rudolf Nureyev. You just stop in the ocean and jump off! After the swim our captain took us to the private dock in Positano where a porter was waiting to collect our luggage and escort us to the hotel. All in all a once in a lifetime experience made even more special by the care and attention of Rebecca at Capritime Tours.

When beaches and shopping seem to be just scratching the surface of the amazing Positano and you want more or something different... call Marco Predieri. He was a wonderful, knowledgable tour guide! He knows the Amalfi Coast inside and out! He speaks perfect English and he is a walking history book. He will take the time to understand your needs and help you custom plan your itinerary. We had the great surprise of engaging in a few tours he offered that were literally off the charts. We went on amazing hikes seeing ancient waterfalls thru acres of pristine lemon groves. We took a cooking class in the kitchen of a gorgeous restaurant-side by side with the master chef. We went on a private boat tour along the Amalfi Coast with detours to cave dive and eat in a hidden gem of a fishing town. My only regret was there was not enough time to see and do all the wonderful tours he recommended. Marco makes you feel like a friend who has come to visit Italy for the first time and he wants to show you what you may not otherwise get to see.
