This review is for pink and whites only; I hear it's a great place for pedicures! I used to have pink and whites done here, but no longer. I just moved to the area and was trying to find a new place to get my fakey powder-to-gel nails done, and was hoping this would be the spot. Nope. Ow. They use nail clippers to break off shards of your manicure, then peel the remnants off your nail with a piece of plastic. This is an uncomfortable freaking sensation. It frankly shocked me so much the first time I experienced it, I didn't know what to say. The place I used to go to in Los Altos just used a pedicure drill to sand them down before reapplying the gel, which was a lot gentler. The nail clipper experience left my nail beds sore for over a day, plus the finished manicure wasn't as nice as I'd like it to be for the effort. Still on the lookout for the good local pink and white place, but in the meantime, I'm back to au naturel. Not going back there. read more

This place is horrible. It is nearby so I've been many times, in spite of saying I would never return. They have injured me several times, so much that I've had to take prescription pain killers because I can't sleep through the pain. They are extremely greedy. It does not matter if you make an appointment because they seldom turn away walk-ins & will take them even if it means you have to wait 30+ minutes. They haphazardly apply gel without letting it properly cure. So, no surprise when they don't stay on. However when I ask for the gel to be removed, they won't do it. They say they'll try something new that's guaranteed to work , which does not. After 3 separate visits requesting they remove the gel, I had to go to another shop to have it removed. It's always a surprise to me that this place is busy. I think maybe it has to do with the fact that most of the customers are walk-ins. read more

The woman who did my pedicure, Cindy, was good and fast! My pedicure was done in about 30-35 minutes. And it included a salt scrub and brief massage. It was busy, but I had called at about 11am and made an appointment for 12:45pm. When I arrived, they seated me promptly. They did a very good job. I would go back. I have been getting acrylic nails for a long time, and always have a hard time finding a good place. Well I found glow nails, which has changed ownership and is now Bella nails. Luckily, this first time I went in I had Thao/ Kelsey. She I my favorite nail tech ever!! Whenever I go in we have lots to talk about and joke about. Just the other day I went in and was a bit early and asked if I could remove my nail polish while I was waiting and she says sure do whatever you want! She will try different things on my nails and if I dont like it she will re do it for me. I really loved my mani/pedi today. The woman that helped me was very gentle and did a great job painting my nails. I will definitely go back. My only complaint is that the gel nail colors are difficult to read. They are just in the bottle and it's tough to see colors that way. Had to write in and give kudos to Michelle who reopened the shop just for me when she saw me in the parking lot with a chipped nail. I went to Bella Nails yesterday after receiving a gift certificate from a friend who is a regular there. They were very busy so we made an appointment, I was told to sit in a chair to get my nails done (acrylics with gel polish) and I ended up sitting for over 30 minutes. The technician was nice but her work was sub-par, my nails are uneven, bumpy, way longer than I asked for, crooked and really rather rushed. None of them look the same and my hands now feel unfunctional and I am embarrassed to show them to anyone. THE WORST NAILS SALON ANYONE COULD GO TO. So me and my friend can understand Vietnamese but we pretended like we didn't and that's when these ladies starting to trash talking us and everyone in the salon. My feeling was so hurt that they started to called my mom all kind of name just because I told them I have never met my dad. Like i swear. Then one of them even convinced the owner to charged us more because they think we make money which is pretty much illegal but I didn't wanna make absence so I just let it go and just pay for it and bounce. Don't get a pedicure here! This is the only place I went to for pedicures last summer, and I ended up with fungus in my toenails. I wasn't really that surprised that this happened. The place was always very busy, and I don't think the girls took the time to sterilize their instruments properly between clients. Also, my nails were cut too close and actually bled a couple of times. Not good! Stay away, unless you don't mind getting nail fungus. It was graduation week and weekend for local schools and colleges, so the place was very busy and as we had our pedicures, many more patrons came in without appointments and were told to return later.
