We had 1-2 inches of water in our basement due to a very high water table, this spring. We received other water proofing vendor quotes but when Adam came out, he first surveyed our outside foundation landscape pitch and down spout drains and knowledgably pointed out that we should, 1st, correct these deficiencies. Then, Adam and I collaborated over a couple of months to come up with an inside basement water proofing drainage design that met my specific requirements. This resulted in installing perimeter drainage pipes at the footing level. dam was meticulous and precise with marking his floor cut lines and determining drain pipe slope that exceeded typical minimum specs. I was impressed by the manner in which he carefully thought through the design and any obstacles encountered along with his attention to the small details. We jointly decided on selecting an ION dual sump pump system with electronic water sensing (no moving parts)and wall mounted controller which alternates pumping between the two pumps. Although cost was a bit more than the typical Home Depot pumps, this system even allows us to see and set the water level in the basin at which pumping will start at the push of a button on the wall controller, so we can reduce the number of pump cycles, to extend their life, if we so choose. The system can even notify us if a system error occurs or if water exceeds the 'high level' setting. We are extremely pleased with the overall design and system and genuinely thank Adam for his professional collaboration and attention to detail at a reasonable cost and overall 'job well done'! Very professional company! Adam came the same day to look at my foundation ! I was getting a lot of water in my finished basement so it was nice to find someone that I felt handled it as if it was his own problem ( as if it where happening to him and how quick he would want it resolved or fixed) so that made me feel very comfortable with him . He did not try to sell me the most expense repair he gave me his honest opinion on what he felt as the expert would fix the problem . I've had to get a lot of quotes for repairs and I can honestly say I will never look or want another company . Adam had bad news for us: our house foundation was tainted with pyrrhotite and there was nothing he could do to fix it. We'd have to test to confirm, and if true, replace the foundation. That was a hard jolt for us and he knew it. So he explained the problem, the possibilities, as well as the likelihood and what that would entail. He told us about legislators trying to create a bailout fund and about a customer of his in Holden with the same problem. He put us in touch with that person and he sent us 40 some odd pages of reporting on pyrrotite. He was always friendly, sympathetic, and helpful. And then he didn't charge us, figuring we'd had enough bad news. He did what he could to cheer us, inform us, and steer us in the right direction. Good man. Very professional & quality work. I had a drain put in in front of our garage and hooked up front and back gutters due to water in garage bc of shotty work done on the driveway from previous home owner. Now a couple of minor issues had to be tended to after work was complete. The owner emailed me right away and came back next day to resolve the issue. Which you just don't get these days. I had a a very difficult time finding someone to help with a bulkhead/foundation issue in Framingham. Almost all the contractors you find will do either the foundation or the bulkhead but not both. Most of the bulkhead contractors had a waiting list into next spring. I was lucky to eventually find Bella Masonry. Adam was a huge help explaining what my issues were and was very responsive throughout the process. We had a very difficult problem of replacing hollow lally columns (outside) holding up our pantry room. I was very hard to find someone to do this work in the tight location. The lally columns had been there for over 30 years and needed to be replaced. Not only for safety reasons but also if we ever needed to sell the house. Very lucky that Bella took on the challenge. Adam and his crew repaired the openings around my basement windows. This included cleaning up all the loose debris chipping off the concrete blocks. It was a pretty extensive job. They put all new cement around the windows and on the concrete blocks.It looks fabulous. More than a year later it still looks good: no leaks!
