Not only did she…read moreknow what that meant; she provided an extremely thorough proposal with photos of everything (Another florist we consulted told us to look at her Instagram and tell us what we liked -- and everything was white!). Her prices were reasonable, and the flowers were beautiful. Only small complaint was that the corsages and boutonnieres fell apart very quickly. They were glue-gunned instead of wired. She did give us a refund for them, but when I use her for my younger daughter's wedding (and I will), I'll either insist that these items be held together with wire, or I'll just buy those elsewhere. Otherwise, we got many compliments on the flowers, and she also added extra touches we hadn't paid for, such as little bud vases on the tables for the cocktail hour.

We originally contacted Eli about the florals, after mind-numbingly searching high and low for a florist in our price range, and one who would work with us, and it was such a breath of fresh air to work with her on everything from my bouquet to the floral arch and the decor. She helped me turn my vision into reality and never told me no to any of my ideas. Even after it took MONTHS to finally sign on the dotted line after back and forth, Eli made sure that we were getting exactly what we wanted. Because of this, we also hired her as our day-of wedding planner, but she did far more than just day-of. She made sure everything was ready, from the tables to the bridal party lining up, even helping us figure out how to get that "dip" for after the ceremony during our rehearsal. Lastly, she even worked with my mother-in-law to secure table florals for the rehearsal dinner. She set everything up, broke everything down, and even allowed us to re-use the florals for the next day in other areas of the venue. She is an absolute DREAM and the whole package. If you are searching for the right florist or planner, do not search any more!! She was even ready to scold our guests when things got a little too crazy! THANK YOU ELI for being there on my wedding day and practically a year even before that to answer all of my questions. I know it was a lot, and I could not have done it without you!!

What they do is change the moss around the roots so you cannot see the bugs. They look like concentrated spider webs/cotton. My husband bought several plants to decorate our home the day before Thanksgiving. When he arrived and I was going to arrange the orchids, I noticed that the majority had a blatantly visible mealy bug problem. I called the owner who was very polite and she asked that I sent her pictures. I did. She told me there would be no problem in returning or exchanging. I kept the small orchids (that didn't seem to have any visible infestation, at a risk) and had my husband return the large white orchids. He showed up on Thanksgiving morning to process the return as the owner agreed to and the employee at the shop was extremely rude and condescending. My husband just kept telling her that I had spoken to the owner and that he was only there to return the infested orchids as we agreed. She berated him for no reason and accused him of nothing being wrong with the plants and that clients are never happy. She also said that she couldn't believe we would show up on Thanksgiving to return the orchids. They were clearly infected. The last thing we wanted to do was have to find the time to return the plants, be left without them, and for my husband to have to deal with an employee that lacks education in customer service.

In recalling everything we did together before writing this review, I typed Merlene's name into my email search, there were 23 search results. Of those 23 emails, 3 had over 20 responses each. Merlene was THAT dedicated to keeping everything organized and tailored to our personalities. During our first consultation, Merlene explained very clearly what she could and couldn't assist with, and even offered services we hadn't even thought of. Our decorations, centerpieces, bouquets, boutonnieres, arch, pipe and drape and even day-of planning were all taken care of by Merlene. When we lost our catering manager a month before the wedding and when we got reassigned a new entertainment consultant, Merlene was there to support us and keep us on track. She also coordinated very well with vendors with strong personalities. Everything happened on time and was flawless, even when the inevitable (rain in Miami) happened and the ceremony setup had to be moved inside 15 minutes before the wedding. Merlene helped make our dream wedding happen and we couldn't thank her enough.

But when I met Merlene at my first bridal show and I was so enamored with her that I pretty much said sign me up!! She told me about her own wedding where she was so busy in the details that she didn't get to enjoy her big moment, and because that was a really big fear of mine I decided it was definitely worth it! It was hands down the best decision I made for my wedding day! Merlene is excellent and her level of professionalism made me feel really comfortable knowing everything would be taken care of. The week of the wedding and the morning of she reached out to all my vendors so that I could relax and be stress free! She led the rehearsal the day before and my entire family gave rave reviews, it was fun and enjoyable and everyone knew where to go and what to do! During the actual wedding, her and her team were pretty much everywhere - making sure guests received their specific orders, coordinating with the kitchen, helping with any snags with my dress etc. She took care of everyone and I felt incredibly relaxed knowing that her detailed eye would not miss anything! I highly recommend Merlene to anyone considering a wedding planner or day of coordinator!!
