I hate chains, but came here at my hungover brother's request. There aren't any non-chain offerings on the run up to the cinema, and mycimpromised when forced is just normally "ugh, anything but Nando's then".
I'm also someone who isn't particularly fond of Italian food unless it's truly amazing. I liked Bella italia when I was 14 and thought I was really big going on dates with my high school sweetheart, but I quickly went off it (the one in our town wasn't great, and closed down) we sat at 8.10 with Star Wars at 9, so I was a bit worried. It was quite busy with Christmas parties, and the staff were friendly and accomodating. They chatted at the pass quite a lot, but that really did only seem to be when there wasn't food to cart.
I don't really like pizza either, unless I've made it at home or I've had one too many Ona night out- and that's always a Bolognese pizza- which they had! So although I didn't have a sniff of alcohol in me, that's hat I plumped forand it was actually pretty good. My brother had carbonara, which he dessimated, and a sharing basket of bread, which was actually huge. The bread sticks were just bread sticks, but the dough balls were pretty good.
All in all, it's not amazing, but it's certainly one of the better options down the street of chains... read more
