I hired Brad Bellacchio to replace one piece of siding on my home. (I supplied the replacement piece.) Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The work was undertaken without a formal written estimate, and a receipt for payment was not obtained because Brad said he does not carry receipts with him. He told me to call his office and 'they' would supply a receipt. (He answered the phone.) So far, no receipt. Brad made unfavorable remarks (siding/windows) about the work performed by others rather than focusing on giving me an estimate. The siding was replaced 25 years ago, without a problem until now. When my roof and siding need to be replaced, there's no way I would consider Brad. If you value clear communication and honesty, do not hire Brad. Get everything in writing, which was my mistake from the beginning. read more

Run do not walk.. I had Bella give me an estimate on my alteration/rebuild. 1st he lost my Plans. Yep. gave them to a plumber for an estimate and LOST my approved sign off Plans from the building Dept. I went back for 2 weeks.. Never got my plans back. Now if that is not enough. He broke into my fence and building despite being given the key to the gate and umm. Failed to securely attach the sheet of plywood.. The Ply wood had screws every foot.. He only put 4 back in...and forgot to secure the top half. Next I told him the side door was unlocked. He removed the ply wood from the front of my building and when he left he Just laid the wood against the house. When I confronted Brad he just shrugged it off like it was nothing. To add insult to injury.. I had severe difficulty walking and was unable to secure the boards myself. After several phone calls Brad did come out and put a few screws in the fence.. However, he refused to secure the board to the front of the house. When I confronted Brad about why he didn't use the side door as I had requested. He said, I didn't think of it at the time." When I asked why he didn't use the key I provided to him for the front gate. He said. He forgot the key and didn't want to go back.. This is my second home repair that I am doing with Bella. The first was new siding about a year and a half ago. Currently I am remodeling 2 bathrooms. Both bathrooms are total gut jobs down to the studs, needless to say much dust was generated but the crew did everything to try and contain it. The area was swept and cleaned each night. Precautions were taken to protect the floors and other areas in the home. Brad was right on top of everything when Home Depot delivered broken materials or GK Plumbing had things on back order (he actually went and got a shower head that I could use until mine is delivered). The crew Steve and Anthony were very helpful and offered many suggestions. Jose the plumber was very efficient and courteous due to delivery delays he had to make many trips to the home. Eric the tiler was excellent he did a fabulous job on both bathrooms. I would definitely recommend Bella Home Improvements. read more

He went above and beyond when it came to an estimate and even got me large enough samples when I was unsure of a color for my siding and stone to make sure I felt confident in my choice (before I even said I would go with him). After months of trying to get my money from my insurance company that I was told I would get with the help of Chris who told me he was the guy who would get me my money because he has had other instances like mine. I called Bella Home Improvements, Chris showed up gave me a price and then Brad came and gave me a much better price. Well they did the job and the insurance won't pay me saying that the roof that was taken off was installed wrong and caused me to have a leak. They told me to go after the roofer who installed the roof that they took off for the money since he installed the roof that was removed. I first hired Bella a few years back and had really tried to do my homework before hiring a general contractor. I'm just an "average joe" but unfortunately I had a very big job that needed to be done. I started asking friends of mine and I kept getting Bella over and over again. I mean even friends that weren't even in the same circles, so after doing the whole Angie's List thing, which is a little ridiculous, but I'll save that rant for another time, I made the call and Brad came to my house to look at the work. From the moment we started talking, I realized this is a "real" professional- he told me what I needed to know and not just what he thought I wanted to hear. I decided to pull the trigger and signed with Bella. He and his crews ALWAYS showed up on time and ready to work. They were clean and courteous, and went above and beyond to meet all of my and my wife's many demands. The work was exemplary and when a friend of mine came to the house, who happens to be an architect and knows much more about this than I do, he could not stop raving about the amount of detail Bella's team displayed in their work. Since that time I have used Bella for a new roof, a deck, and I have recommended many of my closest friends and family members to Bella - and NOT A SINGLE COMPLAINT!!!! Obviously, I see the reviews on here and they just don't make sense to me. I'm not saying people are lying, but I just don't understand how it's possible when everyone I know that has used Bella has had a remarkable experience. They're fast, they're quality is second to none, and they're not some fly by night company. I've heard their prices are a little higher than others and yet when I tell people how much I paid some have said "Wow, that's a lot of work for the money" but in the end it all goes back to you get what you pay for! Had Bella do work on my property twice in the last eight years. First, redid my entire basement, installed tile floors, cabinets, moved hot water tank and actually more than I asked for high hats, any complaints were quickly satisfied. I even made them pick up a small section of tiles to have them relayed to my liking. Second time was to put a new roof on in which they had to removed three layers of shingles and all boards, They were neat, job went for two days, men were courteous considering my constant concern about my skylight. I felt Brad gave me a fair price within the range of what I was getting but definitely not on the higher side. He was easy to reach by phone because of course like EVERY contractor they have already moved to the next up coming job. But always know what you are doing way before you sign a contract so that it is all covered and you can try to avoid the problems between contractors and homeowners.. Bottom line I would use Bella again if needed but not given a perfect score, there are always room for improvement. read more
