I saw Michelle for a back facial. This was my first time getting a back facial. It was absolutely wonderful! So relaxing and I was surprised how much massage was included in this service. She rubbed my back and shoulders for probably like 10-15 mins. I also got a foot massage for a few mins as well while she waited for the products to work. I will definitely be back! seriously wish I could give this a 0 star rating. Just got my hair done by Tamanda there and my hair is absolutely horrible. She cut it way too short, it's so choppy, not straight/ different lengths, nothing I wanted. I love my hair and just moved back and gosh I wish I could've just paid $100- $200 to go somewhere else in St. Louis because it was terrible. Right when the process of even just shampooing started I knew things just didn't feel right as most stylists take a long time, so a good timely scrub etc. I'm used to getting someone amazing in Chicago and completely regret coming here - have a wedding in Vail next week and no way I can even salvage this and have the hair obviously grow back in time. Completely inconsiderate of my time. I appeared for my 9:30 appt, was offered a water. And then I sat. 5 minutes. 10 minutes. I could hear staff behind the false wall gossiping and carrying on with each other. I assume my hairstylist was still with a client. 15 minutes Not an acknowledgement from anyone. 19 minutes and I think to myself. I've got stuff to do! I don't have time to just be sitting here imagining my new 'do! So at 20 minutes, I left. When I told the receptionist I was leaving, all she said was, "Ok". I purchased a groupon for my first service at this salon as a way to try the place out and hopefully find a new stylist in the area. Definitely will not be going back here. The stylist I was paired with cancelled on me a couple of hours before my original appointment. (It's fine, things happen). Then at my rescheduled appointment, I get there and let my hair down for a trim (hair is slightly below my shoulders) and she takes one look and says "oh if you didn't read the fine print on the groupon, we can charge you $10 extra for thick hair". Absolute bogus--having thick hair is something beyond my control, aside from the fact that while it is thicker than average, it is NOT unmanageable. I have never had this issue before at other salons and will definitely not be going back to this one. read more

I was gifted 6 glycolic peels and purchased 3 Microdermabrasion facial specials. All of them were done by Michelle. I believe she is the only facialist. Michelle is a very nice, sweet and friendly person. Each service with her was not consistent in procedure but they were ok. Upon my first visit, I was given a coupon for additional services and products. I used the coupon toward a haircut and that was ok as well. The staff overall is really nice and friendly. I've been a regular client here for several years. Always get a great haircut and also take the kids here. They provide services for the whole family. Always a great place to pick up a gift certificate during the holidays as well. I had several services by Emily: haircut-disaster, pedicure-mediocre, manicure-ok, eyebrow waxing-waste of time so beware of who you get for what. Used a Groupon for my first visit and was optimistic because of the great reviews I found online. The store is very clean and it was not very busy when I was there, although if it was it would be cramped, as the stations are all very close together. Ryce was the stylist they set me up with. I brought in pictures and gave instructions about what I wanted (I had a Groupon for a deep-condition / cut / style). She did not in any way do what I asked her to do. I asked for choppy layers and she gave me just the slightest trim (which I think I could have done better myself). She even asked me at one point if I wanted both sides done. As if I would just want half of my hair done? She spent the majority of the time blow-drying my hair but I left with wet roots that were drenched in the different products she kept pushing on me. By the time I was done I just couldn't wait to get out of there. I have reached out to the salon in two different Facebook messages and they have both been ignored, which is the worst part. I think if I would have gotten a different stylist, it could have been a good experience. read more

I am extremely disappointed with the service received by this salon. I have never been treated so rudely by receptionists and staff at a salon before. It is expected to be treated with great customer service and a relaxing environment when walking into a spa and salon and this was anything but that type of experience. I left angry and frustrated. I purchased and used a facial package through Groupon. The package consisted of three microdermabrasions. My experience was so bad, that I did not use my last facial. On my second facial, Michele used cosmetic grade salicylic acid on a blemish I had. She used too much and left it on too long LEAVING A BURN ON MY FACE!!! This burn peeled and hyper pigmented. I visited the salon a couple days later and showed them the issue. Michele looked at it and recommended I use more make-up (what!?!?). The owner was present but did not come up to apologize or anything (free make-up for cover-up would have been nice). Only recently did this hyper pigment go away (it is now June). I would not recommend going to this salon. read more

This was the worst vendor for my wedding. Everyone there not only has an attitude, they are completely unwilling to help. When scheduling our wedding morning with my bridesmaids, they had placed two girls with a ton of hair back to back in a two hour time frame. I politely told them that it wouldn't work and that they would need to simply adjust one girls stylist around. She refused and refused and refused. Until I finally had to threaten to pull my entire party from the salon. Next, my hair trial was also a bridal shoot session which my stylist understood. I show up for my 3pm appointment (which was confirmed by a voicemail the day before) and they said they pushed it back to 4:15, that they called and spoke to me on the phone about it. I showed them my call log, no call after that voicemail confirming my 3pm. Why would they call the DAY BEFORE an important appointment to change it? Let alone lie about it? They were of course rude, unapologetic, and didnt care that I had proof of them confirming my 3pm. The wedding morning was chaos. They promised us 9 stylists and only had 7. Luckily, I had my cousin who is a makeup artist come do my and my moh's makeup that morning. It saved them because they were short, BUT they charged me $100 just to have her there without even telling me.
