U want a size 16 mate?'' Just gotta laugh. Don't get me wrong - this place is ok for a few items but most of the stuff here is cheaply made, unflattering & unattractive. I've visited this place a couple of time's mainly through sheer lack of store choice in the area and I've picked up a few bits. Mainly holiday stuff - flip flops & bikini's. I like some of their mix and match bikini set's but variety seems to have gone downhill the last couple of years which is a real shame but overall they're good if you're anything like me and wear a different bikini for almost every day of your holiday! I also recently came across their sports bra's too which are a bargain - 2 for £5 I think they were. Sick of paying upwards of £30 for just one these were a great find although I wouldn't recommend for women with larger sized busts. Ok shop if you can tolerate it.

This is in my top 3 bookshops I've ever visited (the other two, in case you were wondering: Shakespeare & Sons, Prague, and The Last Bookstore, Los Angeles). This place had thousands of books, with that old book smell that I love. The store seems to go on forever, and there are so many nooks and crannies filled with more books! I particularly loved the old books section; we got some classics (Jane Austen, DH Lawrence, Charles Dickens and Victor Hugo) that were editions published in the early 1900s for £3-£5. My husband raided the sci-fi section while I raided the general fiction and we came up with another 9 books between us, all between 99p and £3, and all good quality. We were only able to spend 1 hour in there. It wasn't enough. I felt rushed. I needed more time! Living in London, Rochester is only 45 minutes away. I'll be back. The guy who I believe is the owner, was friendly and sweet. This is such a great find. FYI a lot of Rochester high street is filled with little independent stores, it's a really lovely place to visit!

Then i think the managers son comes out of nowhere and snatches the sunglasses off my face and started to tell me off for running. When he pled them if my dad said they left a red mark on my face. And he shouldn't even be touching my face when COVID is around ad anyway he's not allowed to touch me science I'm not his child. My dad spoke to the woman at the til and even she said he's not allowed to be doin that. It's a disgrace of how shop owners do that. Just because he's the mangers son doesn't give him the right to do that. Anyway, i dont know if i will be doing that.

Others include Boots, Superdrug and WHSmith, there are several mobile phone places, a Claire's Accessories, a few card shops and a Sainsburys. For food you can either eat at BB's (which is a coffee and sandwiches place), Subway, an Italian cafe near it (which has quite a lot of seating, something which Subway severely lacks), a bakery, a hot dog or a meal deal from Boots. The shops on the top floor aren't as great as the ground ones but you do have yet another New Age shop, a "Legends" style cafe, a menswear place and a store that sells cut-price DVDs - if you're after old classics, you might be able to dig out a gem there. There is also a fabrics shop and a few jewellers, as well as a few standalone stalls in the middle of the wide walkways. The major bonus of the Pentagon is that it is also the hub of Arriva buses - any exit on the first floor leads to the big bus stop, which is all around it and makes it very easy to travel. There is also a large car park.
