The price was quite reasonable I think for a premium hot chocolate, $4.99 for a dark hot chocolate with Mayan spice (cinnamon, cayenne, etc.) added. There was an option to add whipped cream and marshmallows but I opted out. The cocoa was excellent - delightfully chocolatey and definitely spicy - it definitely had a kick. I would order again in a heartbeat - maybe it's a good thing for my body that I don't live that close to Plymouth. They also have a nice array of chocolates, very similar to classic chocolate shops. I bought a couple of dark chocolate covered cherries and dark chocolate honeycomb chips for my mother and she loved them and she can normally be very picky about these type of chocolates. She said they were very fresh and the cherry flavor of the chocolate covered cherries was excellent. These were probably her favorite chocolates she's had in the last ten years or so. Alpine Chocolate Haus was definitely a winner and we'll be back whenever we're in Plymouth.

They have everything I need - boxes, boards, foil, icing color, sweetex, cookie cutters, candy molds...they have it all. The only thing they don't carry are the scalloped edge gold round cake boards that I would normally buy at Margie's. It saved on having to buy foil to cover a board when doing a birthday cake, but it's just a minor inconvenience. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Huge selection for whatever your craft is! Do beware on the parking lot though. There's a dance studio next door that tends to fill up parking spots. Plus people tend to drive a little fast thru the adjoining parking lot & Firestone - just be a defensive driver when it's busy!

The cake was outrageously expensive and it looked beautiful. Unfortunately, the cake was extremely dry, and we found a hair baked into the cake. They did give us a refund, but I felt it was necessary to warn people because I don't think this was a rare happening. the employee that waited on us when we picked the cake up, had notable hair from an animal all over her uniform, which we talked about when we left after picking the cake up, only to find a hair baked into the cake. This tells me that they are not being as cautious and careful during the baking process. We will no longer be purchasing cake from this location. The price does not reflect the quality anymore. A family member took the picture of the hair and the cake and I will be posting that as soon as I get it from the family member.
