Not sure what policy is but having two explorers and 4 cops for "not having lights on a bicycle" made me feel unsafe and uncomfortable.

This is an interesting city…read more Stopped by as a layover before watching the Padres vs Dodgers game and liked the location and the prices of the hotels in the area. Ended up at the Bicycle Hotel and Casino. There's several eateries within walking distance and a Marshall's and a Ross. The people are friendly. I'd visit again if I planned on visiting family near by.

Absolutely the WORST department out there. They towed our car from where we were staying when there…read moreis ZERO available parking on the streets and had no choice but to park they told us to park as far away as necessary if we didn't want to be towed making my disabled spouse have a difficult time getting to and from his car to where we are currently staying to help out family. they collect massive paychecks to just sit on their asses all day and not help the community or anyone just to show up and call things a "civil matter" even if you're physically assaulted. the sheriff would probably do a better job than these so called "officers". This department is a total joke and disgrace to the men and women who are out there actually serving their community and have compassion for other humans. I wouldn't trust them to look after a goldfish, they took an oath to protect and serve yet do neither and still want the community here to trust them.

5 Stars for Job Security, and that we need the services they offer…read more None of the Public Services give the best of service. I appreciate the people that work for them, however if anyone would ask me for my opinion or suggestions on how too make it a BETTER place too work, please CONTACT me. JUS SAYIN!!!!!! BTW, did I mention that the time before this I was at one of the Public buildings DTLA on personal business. I was transferred to 5 different rooms and the last stop I ran into Ms. Nosey (all in my business) wasting my time not to mention that the department had 2 lines for different services and for my business I had too wait in a line too pay (the lady where you pay thought she was in charge of the US of A and asked us to re position the line while she continued talking on her CELL PHONE) Crazy, crazy, crazy. Not THE END, I had to wait for my paper at another window and was asked too take a seat if any were available.WTwhat! FYI, if ever you need to visit any of these places make sure that your calendar is clear and be prepared to pay for parking, lots of walking and be there most of the day (we got there around 11:00am and left DTLA after 3:00pm(in the middle of rush hour traffic) and this was for only 1 document. And they DO NOT have a Notary there!

Me: Hey Now! Public…read moreRecords Employee: How can i help you, sir? Me: I need information regarding an accident that occurred on company grounds May 18 2007. Public Records Employee: Did you contact the police department? Me: Yes. I called the City of Industry police department and the local CHP office with no luck. Both said my best bet is to call the Fire Department public records office because 1st responders always note: the patient's name, time of the accident, severity of the victim's injuries, and the name of the other agencies that responded to said accident in a log called Emergency Medical Service (EMS) report. Public Records Employee:....May 18 2007....that's over a year ago but we should still have the EMS report on file. Just send a request for the EMS in your company letterhead with the date and time of the incident. Me: Company letterhead....date of acc....time of the accident...anything else? Public Records Employee: Yes, there is $5 processing fee. Make out the check or money order to Public Records Office. Me: Cool Public Records Employee: You should have the EMS report within 8-10 business days. * Within 8-10 business days later* Co-Worker: You have a letter from the Public Records Office Me: Did we get the EMS report? Co-Worker: No. Our request was denied because "written authorization to release medical records signed by the patient must accompany the request. If the patient is decreased, the request must come from the executor of the estate" Me: Shit. Tell the lawyer that our request was returned. *pause* Look on the bright side at least we saved $5 *laughs* Co-Worker: Mmm...no. They kept the $5. Me: What? That's fucked up! Co-Worker: You should call and complain. Me: No. I'm going to put this bullshit on Yelp! Co-Worker: #1 Stop shaking your fist in the air. #2 What's Yelp? Me: Yelp? This is Yelp. You're on Yelp right now. Co-Worker: You are so lame.....
