Their rating was good on Yelp and so I have decided to give it a try. Its located in the basement, which is hard to know that it exist unless you google or is told by someone or by Yelp, of course. So this one is close by to where I am located. I am looking for a store front Mortise Cyclinder Lock. Went in and got help right away. They had the Mortise Cyclinder lock on site and they rekeyed the Cyclinder lock and sold it to me for a very reasonable price. The locksmith was infact surprised how I know how to take the lock out. I also got the locksmith to rekey a 2 sided commercial key. He was honest and told me even him himself has no guarantee that the key will work because its one of those really difficult key to rekey. I like his honesty. Honesty is good. Downtown is very honest and very professional. They are my go to lock problem people Now. Thumbs up to them.

He will make a "mistake" or "oversight", then apologize and make you trust him enough to continue working together. Finally, at my car, he tried to scam me out of $700. It was only when I called the police did he back down. Note, I am a woman, he likely feels more entitled to try this with us unfortunately. Anyway, just proceed with caution and know his game/attempt to scam you/lock you on the deal on worse terms than you agreed to. And be aware that he then knows where you live etc. So, yeah, proceed with caution. Also, he likes to deny naturally, even when it's so obvious what he's doing.

I had tried calling other places and they were all telling me i needed a brand new set keys regardless and were asking for ridiculous prices. I finally found this place my dad recommended and the guy was very helpful over the phone and in person. He fixed the issue within minutes and even replaced my car key remote battery.
