I went to Nicole Bell's location on Livingston St. and all three appointments I had there were terrible. First of all, the office is more like a club than a dentist office. I couldn't even hear myself think over the loud Taylor Swift music videos playing. The first time, I went in for a toothache. They did not once tell me what they were doing. They took some x-rays with a very uncomfortable machine that they did not yet know how to use. Some woman came in and messed around on the computer saying "This new x-ray technology is fun!" She completely ignored me until finally asking me about my teeth. Turns out she was Nicole Bell, which I could not tell and did not know because she never introduced herself to me. She then indicated that I might have a major problem with a tooth and then took me to a chair and set out a bunch of tools. Then I'm like "Wait, what are you doing right now?" Then she proceeds to treat me like a child and says "Well you've been to the dentist before, right? When you come in, we sit you in a chair and get out all the things we need for a cleaning, right?" I answered, "Yeah, when I schedule a cleaning. I'm here because I have a tooth causing me pain (which I had already told her many times)." She goes, "Oooh, we have this all messed up, you're here for an emergency." She then gave me a pricey periodontal mouth wash and antibiotics for the pain in the tooth near my root canal. My current dentist explained that the antibiotics and mouthwash wouldn't have done anything for my tooth pain. They also said the mouthwash causes staining on the teeth. I noticed a lot of discoloration on my teeth and they were asking if I drank coffee and tea all the time and I said no, because I don't. Turns out the mouthwash is what caused a lot of staining on my teeth. The second time I went to see Nicole, she told me that two of those stains were cavities. After numbing my mouth and "filling" the cavities, they charged me over $80 saying it was a "special filling." They also told me to come back so she could fill another cavity, so I did. The third time I went, she gave me two numbing shots for the cavity in the back of my mouth and my front lip got numb. She gave me another one and my cheek got numb. Then she started filling and I felt pain. She goes, "Oh, you're tall aren't you? I should have figured your nerve was back there." So she gives me two more shots on the correct nerve and at this point, the entire right side of my face is numb when it doesn't have to be. I have since found a new dentist and they took care of all the staining caused by the mouthwash Nicole gave me and they are taking care of my tooth pain as well (which Nicole did nothing to help). Not to mention she made a comment about finally turning 21 years old, WHILE she had a needle in my mouth. I would believe it if she was only 21 and even if she's not, that's not something to joke about while you're sticking someone with a needle. At t least make it clear that you're joking, which I don't think she was. She said, "Oh, my birthday is this weekend. I'm turning 21 so I can finally drink!" She said this to her receptionist, acting as if I wasn't there, and the receptionist's reaction told me she wasn't joking because she excitedly responded, "Oh, where are you going to go?" So, my experience is that Nicole Bell is an immature, neglectful "doctor" that tries to ruin people's teeth so that she can charge them a ton of money fixing them. Don't ever go to her. read more
