Good quality exotic wood stock at reasonable prices. I'm a hobbyist woodworker and over the past year and a half or so I've order about a dozen small turning blanks of one sort or another from this company plus a set of cherry boards for a coffee table project. All the turning blanks arrived in perfect condition, planer smooth with sharp edges, except for one piece of goncalo alves which had a huge chip on its edge, but that may have been damage suffered during shipping. The cherry boards were all perfectly planed and jointed with one edge rough cut, as they're supposed to be, so you don't need to plane or joint this stock yourself unless you need to change its thickness. One board did have some weird black marks going across the grain on one face, like maybe there was some stuff on the planer knives that planed it, but a little fine sandpaper took care of that. I'm considering purchasing several more items for a few summer projects now and am pleased to see there is currently a Spring discount on their website. (^_^) If their quality continues to be as good as it's been and their prices as low, I'll continue to be a loyal customer! I haven't needed to call customer service regarding any order, so I can't confirm or deny the report of bad customer service, but you should know this is a company that obviously deals with professional woodworkers on a regular basis, and they may not be interested in teaching you the basics of woodworking over the phone. I'm not sure what kinds of questions Darlene was asking, but their stock is exactly what it looks like on the website, so go read a book or watch Norm Abram if you don't know what you're doing. read more

I am a satisfied, multiple purchase, Bell Forest Products customer. Several years ago I turned to the internet for lumber purchases. My first supplier suggestions were 'ok' but did not give the level of service now getting from Bell. 'The deals' include multi board feet packages - and with that said, individual board purchases (after shipping) still beat my local yard. Have purchased Walnut, Cherry, Maple and exotics. I had a product question, contacted Eric. I felt like I was the most important question of the day (it was not) - inquiry responded to within a blink of the eye. i ordered wood from bell forest they put the wrong address on the order when I called them about this they said I made the mistake when it was clearly them charged me 13 dollors more on top of the 16 they already charged me so i paid 27 dollors for shipping on a 23 dollor order they have no custormer service.They did not even work with me on this.I had ordered from them before and they where a week late and the wood was no where near what they said.I will never order from them again and I say no one should. read more
