The most amazing, most entertaining, most mind blowing magic show we've ever been to (and we've been to some really good ones). Highly recommended. Unique. read more

Jude Riggio/ NY NY MAGIC EXPOSED is Belinda's platform in The Conjuring Room. It's an unforgetable journey that takes you through the history of magic and where each evolution of the story is punctuated by Belinda's extraordinary ability to perform her world famous slight of hand and mind bending illusions. You leave the experience in her enchanting "secret" parlour feeling that you have just been transported to place of joy and wonder! You are are imbued with the knowledge that we are magic when we learn the ways in which to successfully connect with the powers we all have when we let go of the noise that distracts us every single day. I can not recommend this experience more highly. In these times that are filled with so much fear and uncertainty Belinda turns the light back on for everyone lucky enough to find their way to this place where "real" magic lives... I will definitely be back! read more

This is a life-changing experience. You will leave Belinda's parlor understanding that magic is real and inspired to create and appreciate the magic in your own life. Don't miss it. read more

The combination of absolute superb magic, storytelling, history, sheer research, knowledge and lovely music that goes into Belinda Sinclair's Magiciene Show at The Conjuring Room will exceed your expectations, leave you fully entertained, stunned and wondering how she does it, provide tremendous enjoyment, and a wanting to come back for more shows (as we have been there several times). Belinda has a practical knowledge of the history of magic over the centuries that will give you a whole new perspective on the field. Don't miss this show!! It's one of the most unique shows in NYC and indeed anywhere ! read more

Belinda Sinclair is a master storyteller, magicienne, historian, and bad-ass chica! Her parlor-style "experience" draws you in through her interesting stories, and charming person, and whilst you are learning and experiencing this, she knocks your socks off with brainy and surreal card tricks and just, for lack of a better word, REAL MAGIC!! This was my 2nd time catching her show, and I was just as (if not more) entertained by her, and enjoyed this amazing and unique experience which seems to suspend time, because several hours passed away with only the desire to experience more!! GO, ALREADY!!! read more

You have to see this woman perform and even if you see her, you won't believe what she can do. Sitting no more than a foot away and paying very close attention, I and my grown up daughter were constantly amazed. If you are in the NYC area and like magic and her historical explanation of it, just go. read more

The Conjuring Room is definitely a #1 option If you are seeking to have an enriching evening in NYC. Belinda is a fascinating magician with a lot of knowledge (you can tell that just by been next to her) her tricks and knowledge in the history of magic are both entertaining and fun! (And yes, mind blowing) Belinda and the people that work with have a contagious vibe! Loved it!! ‍ read more

Tour De-Force transplant of an extinct art-form. It is a nostalgic peek into a more innocent era where there were no clear distinctions or boundaries between Magic, Spiritualism, and Psychic readings. The performance takes place in an ultra intimate setting (audience of 10). It is more about the holistic experience than the individual magic acts incorporated in it. It is a blend of banter, storytelling, advice, historical tidbits, and of course magic. There are in a sense no beginning or end points to the performance, it begins when you arrive and end when you leave. This is not a mere reenactment, Sinclair deconstructed the 18th Century Spiritualist and magic parlors and reconstructed it in a contemporary seamless manner. It is just as much about you and today than it is about the past. This intimate experience is like no other on Broadway! Do yourself a favor and not miss it!! read more

Just one word - amazing. I can't think of anything more unique than a magic show in a parlour setting in a walk-up in Hell's Kitchen. If you like magic even a smidge, or don't really care, go see the show. 3 hours of pure entertainment, with history, stories and some great tricks. Belinda has this incredible way of telling you what she's doing, but you still can't work it out. This is worth every penny of the ticket price, and is a truly unique experience that you didn't even know you needed for your bucket list!! read more

Wonderful show, and Belinda herself is a lovely person. Due to a miscommunication that was no fault of hers, I didn't find out that the show I'd bought tickets for had been canceled. Belinda was very diligent about making sure I got a rescheduled date & gave me a second ticket even though I'd originally only bought one. I brought a friend who also really enjoyed himself. Belinda knows a ton about the history of magic and her library is something else, too. It was really cool to see the way she wove her knowledge in with traditional sleight-of-hand magic tricks. This is a personal, intriguing, super unique experience even for someone who's lived in NYC a long time and thinks they've seen it all. Highly recommended. read more

My daughter and I spent the evening entranced, in the true sense of the word! Belinda's amazing magical chops are only matched by her clear concern for everyone's comfort and fun. Belinda shares her encyclopedic knowledge of magical history and particularly the role women have played, all the while making it hard to really think too much about it because you are so blown away by the "OMG, how did she do that??!!" factor. The intimacy of the performance in this "conjuring place" (8 people attend at a time) makes it as "up close and personal" as possible -- the diametric opposite of Criss Angel and David Blaine and David Copperfield. No disrespect whatsoever to them intended, simply that this chance to see and feel the magic up close means so much. Don't try to go beyond the explanations and teaching Belinda provides -- it's just enough...just enjoy and allow the childlike wonder to flood you and revel in it!! read more

Another amazing performance and show by the always entertaining Belinda Sinclair. It's a small intimate setting in an apartment with no more than 8 people. Beyond just the magic, she tells stories and shows us some tricks to try out on our own. It's close to 2.5 hours of a truly entertaining time! read more

I received this gift certificate from my colleague for my birthday. She always finds amazing and unusual experiences! This one didn't disappoint. Upon entering the parlor and probably for the first 15 mins, I was unsure if this was something I would enjoy. I knew the ticket said 2.5-3 hour show. Initially I thought I would never make it that long. To my surprise Belinda captured our attention and the time flew by. Amazing, talented and fun(and a bit creepy). Thank you!! read more

Wow! So amazing! Go back in time to the conjuring room! You will be enlightened and stunned. We were very impressed with her magic. read more

Belinda Sinclair - Amazing show!! - Magicians Near Me - New York, New York

Honestly, I regard this show as a gem of New York City. As a life-long New Yorker, I firmly believe every New York native should be able to refer anyone to a show, sight, or experience that, although not immediately known to the general public, is sure to impress. I must admit, this is mine. The intimate setting and Belinda's ability to connect with the audience creates an astonishing atmosphere of exclusivity. The show itself is expertly crafted and makes you feel as though you're part of something special. I highly recommend this to whomever wants to see a sparkling gem in Hells Kitchen. read more

Wish there were more options like this. A wonderful afternoon of storytelling enhanced by her incredible magic skills. I believe she will be having new shows shortly and I very much look forward to them. The show is done in very intimate setting -- I doubt we had more than 20 people so you get close. A very different experience than in a theatre, and I think better. More like what a salon experience of the 18th century might have been like. Because of the superior storytelling, this is absolutely not just for die-hard magic fans but for anyone who likes a good story. Show goes very quickly but it's over 2 hours. read more

There were just a few of us, sitting in Belinda's living room, and for 2 hours, we sat there spellbound by her magic, as well as her stories and her charm. This was such a wonderful, intimate show. We were in NYC for a week, and saw a much more famous magic show, and it was such a letdown compared to this. If you are at all a fan of magic, this is one of the best shows I have seen. You feel like she is performing just for you. Truly a treat and a bargain. I'm even thinking of flying Belinda out to California to perform for me and my friends - it won't be cheap, but yes, she was THAT good! read more

Belinda was so warm, welcoming and kind. A wonderful host and magicienne. Her skills are incredible, even when she reveals how the magic is done, it's still stunning because she's so damn good. She'll tell you to look and see how she's doing it, but many times you still can't see it. Weaving stories, history and legend with her magic skills makes this experience truly unique. Love that a woman is doing this. So very refreshing. We had a lovely night, would love to visit again. Go! Do it! Get Tickets! read more

Spent a wonderful night in Belinda's Conjuring Room watching her magic and listening to her spell binding stories. Definitely a terrific gift to yourself and your friends! Go!! Go!! Go!! read more

Tucked away in a little Hell's Kitchen walk-up is the antidote to yet another Broadway musical. If you want an intimate experience of world class magic with a dose of mystical history and a dash of 'behind the curtain' insight, you've come to the right place. Belinda delivers an experience as captivating as this great city. a great night for kiddos and parents alike. "It was better than CATS" as they say!!! read more

One of the best magical experiences and beautiful people I've ever encountered. Melinda will blow you away with her extraordinary skills as a magicienne and move you to the core with her generous spirit and energy. Her shows are a must see. Stop thinking and just go read more

Belinda Sinclair had me at hello - wow, a more enjoyable evening I haven't had in a long time. Belinda's nonstop patter as she performs her card tricks and sleight of hand is both informative and amusing. She is a kind, sensitive person who wound up our show with some personal insights into the various concerns and dreams of those in attendance. She's insightful, smart and very funny. I highly recommend her show and am really looking forward to her next one - it will be performed blindfolded! I found myself wishing I could sit and talk with her afterwards, and I suppose that's the idea - leave 'em wanting more. read more

She is a true magician ! Had an amazing spellbound night . Still in awe of all the things I saw and experienced right in front of me!!! read more

Our family spent late afternoon with Belinda yesterday. It was fabulous as good as any Broadway show. She is fun, funny, entertaining, eloquent, thought provoking & smart. She is a master at her craft. The atmosphere is original & quaint. Thank you Belinda Sinclair, i look forward to seeing your next act. read more

A true New York Gem! If you are looking for a interactive fun time, don't miss this. From the location, to the conjuring room itself, to the storytelling, to the interaction, to the magic itself...the entire experience was smile inducing and fun. Thoroughly entertaining. Skip the big productions and treat yourself to a more intimate experience. We sat with 7 other strangers who didn't feel that way when then evening concluded. I even saw the skeptic in the bunch break into a smile a short time in. Definitely bringing the family next time. read more

I'm so glad my boyfriend and I came to experience this. It was SO MUCH more than just a magic show. Would recommend this to anyone and everyone! read more

After reading the reviews here, there is nothing more I could add. The experience was as magic filled, wonderful, fun, and informative as the other reviewers have noted. In a cozy parlor, you are entertained and in awe as Belinda takes you on a journey where you return a bit more different than when you first arrived. And that's exactly the point. The Conjuring Room is one of the best rooms in NYC. read more

Two thumbs up for a fast-handed & feminist magic show. So fun to see a performance in a small space, and an incredibly cool small place at that. She had all of us absolutely hypnotized. read more

Took my girlfriend to Belinda's performance Saturday night. How wonderful. It's a tiny space, and each person (10 people) gets plenty of special attention. There is plenty of excellent close-up sleight of hand and magic. There is also great story telling and history. One thing I loved was that it was clear Belinda loved the work. She was having just as much fun as us. She has a new show coming out soon and I'm 100% going to see that, and I'm also recommending this show to my friends. read more

Having an extroverted personality, I often find inspiration through others and their experiences. I visited Belinda's conjuring room on January 7th with a friend expecting some great slight of hand. What I experienced in that room was so much more. Throughout the show I was captivated by her stories and empowering words of encouragement....her passion and dedication to her craft is incredibly...tangible. Being totally honest... I truly believe that what happened in that room changed my life...an experience I will never forget. She gave me a gift that night.. A new outlook if you will. The way I perceive reality and the way I perceive my own life goals and achievements are forever changed. I encourage... No....challenge you to sit in front of her and behold what Belinda can do for your mind, spirit and body. GO. read more

Easily the best New York thing I have done. Belinda is not only the real deal and will entertain your face off, she is sweet, sincere and personal. Her intimate 'Conjuring Room' is something to be experienced. Ask her about her books, she will share amazing stories with you. Bring someone here to experience this and be a hero, or simply go with your crew and have an amazing night, this is by no means a tourist only type thing. To quote my mother when Belinda asked her what she was thinking, "Can we stay here forever" =) amazing all around! read more

What an amazing experience! A new kind of magic--celebrating the history of women masters of sleights of hand, by Belinda Sinclair. The Conjuring Room is like no other show place; an elegant and intimate space--library, tea parlor. Exciting, sophisticated and fun. Be prepared to be amazed! read more

I put 4 stars cuz i felt uneasy at first upon entering an apt for magic tricks. I was used to going to a theater. The history of magic was quite interesting but it was loooong . I enjoyed magic and learning its mind bending tricks. Belinda was very personable and eloquent . The show was quite intimate and interactive. There was also intermission for cookies and her homemade jasmine tea. I think it's great for family of 10. read more

Wonderful up-close magic and mystery show by a dedicated lifelong student and adept of magic. Very intimate and personal -- there were eight of us in her parlor. My 14-year-old son, who is too blase to show interest in anything but computer games, afterwords admitted (twice) that "that was pretty cool." Card tricks, sleight of hand, classic spiritualism, and mentalism (I won't spoil the surprise by giving details, but she startled me -- and my son -- with what seemed like true mind reading). Highly recommended, especially if you're looking for a very personal and engaging experience -- the opposite of something like Blue Man Group, which is all loud noise and flash. (Not that there wasn't the occasional loud noise and flash in Belinda's parlor!) read more

This isn't as much of a show or performance as it is a true experience. While it appears effortless, Belinda Sinclair works hard to draw you into the world of magic--both past and present, in her intimate, charming "conjuring room." We participated as a group of eight sixty somethings, who ended up acting like children as we were astounded by her abilities and "close-up" magic skills. While the magic is truly special, it is enhanced by the storytelling, as she takes you on a journey through the history of magiciennes. Belinda is a special person with special skills and a true interest in providing an experience that bewilders and entertains, while, at the same time, seeks to promote self-improvement and motivation for positive change. You will not be disappointed and may even walk away with a different mindset. read more

I recently went to see Belinda Sinclair's show, having seen many other magic performances, but having no idea what kind of treat was in store for us. She is not only an AMAZING close up magician, but she creates a wonderful , transportive atmosphere of warmth, welcome and charm. Her love of the craft is shared with her guests along with tea and cookies in an intimate "conjuring room", evocative of a Victorian parlor. Even the shyest will raise their hand to volunteer in this fabulously immersive experience. You'll leave wanting to return as soon as possible! read more

My brother is a magic show fan and we decided to go see Belinda's show when he was in town recently. What a marvel and such great entertainment - we loved the intimate nature of the show (our performance had six folks) and were befuddled by Belinda's talent and tricks! A perfect way to spend a snowy afternoon - we can't wait to see her next show! Such a great personality and a fascinating life story - truly an inspiration. Her helpers are also the best! read more

So fun! Went with the whole family and we were entertained, educated, and enthralled! Still can't understand how so many of the tricks were done. We learned about magic, life, and love. A very intimate setting and such a unique and personal experience. Unlike any other show we've seen in ny! read more

My wife and I were on vacation in NYC for a few days and had heard some great things about Belinda's performance...so we grabbed a couple of tickets online before the trip. Let's start with this ...easy to find... which goes a long way in the city. :) We were the first ones to arrive and Belinda's met us with a Big Smile and a warm greeting. While we waited for the others to arrive she gave us a quick tour of her partial collection of Magic ephemera she had there onsite...which spanned decades. Then... the other folks arrived to begin the journey of being entertained for almost THREE hours! It was fantastic. My wife and I are fans of the Magical Arts and have been to countless performances of many kinds over the years...from close-up at the Magic Castle to Night Clubs and stage performances and Belinda is as good as we have seen and is better than most. It's not just one "trick" or "effect" after another...there's a theme throughout, a cadence and a thoughtfulness on how the afternoon unfolds and the stories within the stories she tells as she gets to know her audience throughout the course of the show. We have seen Copperfield, Chris Angel, and Blaine several times on stage...and they are terrific..but that's Stage Magic....it cannot compete with the intimate setting with just a handful of spectators..I think the max occupancy she has for a performance is about 10....and that is hard to beat. It does not take long for you to find out that she practices her craft with a high level of skill in a carefully curated presentation of cards, coins and mentalist effects. All we can say is this...if you are a fan of the Art...it's truly a great way to spend the afternoon in the City. Stephen & Tracy - Florida. read more

Belinda Sinclair is an inspiration, bringing out the wonder of magic in each one of us! She is not only an incredible master of her craft but a compelling and engaging storyteller! We have been to her show numerous times and am always in awe of her ability to mystify us, entertain us and teach us the history of magic through the ages and within all of us, all at the same time! We always feel honored to be in her presence in such an intimate setting! It's a "must go" type of experience! read more
