I suggested maybe the nail polish was old and maybe it was the color because it was black. I told her I placed my hands under the UV dryer like I have done so many times so what the hell was different about today? She kept taking the polish off and then reapplying it. She did the three or four times when I asked her how many times she was going to do it she said well you're not drying. Now if you go home and this is smudged you're gonna blame us. I told her no I'll just go home and polish my own nails. It usually takes one or two cycles for nails gel nails to completely dry . I always carefully slide my hands into the UV machine. After this they start talking their language babble to each other so you can't know the derogatory things they are saying. . If that happens again, I'm gonna put my phone translator on so I'll be able to know exactly what the hell they're saying about me or anybody else. But I'll say what I have to say in ENGLISH so there will be no doubt. Then this "technician" had the nerve to say she didn't want me again if I came back as a customer. I told her don't worry about that!!! had a $10 tip for somebody but guess what she sure wasn't getting it. I paid for my nails and got out of there and I don't intend to go back again. After walking in, Brandon let me know there was a bit of a wait but did his best to keep me updated and even assisted me with picking a nail color. My nail tech was also super sweet. She made sure I was comfortable and gave me suggestions on my next service for when I come in to help with my nails. I normally only need a pedicure I've had my nails done by the older male in the past and they last all of 3 days before chipping or breaking off completely. The ambiance here is nice, since the younger owner took over she redecorated and primped the place up to modern standards. They're the only salon with 2 children pedicure chairs which is an added plus for little girls, however I made a call and confirmed if I needed to have an appointment, the female voice advised "oh no" " no appointments today only walk in". I said oh my they just be busy! I arrive a couple of hours later and there was one woman in a pedicure chair, a child in one child chair and a female getting her nails done but wrapping up. I said oh great perfect timing in my head. I advised the staff what I needed when entering she said "pick your color". I did and my daughter and I sat in the chair. 3 other women entered after and walked in and picked their color and she advised them to have a seat in the pedicure chairs. another women entered she said it'll be an hour before we get to you. That women left the salon. I asked should we sit in a chair. She yelled "no, you wait they have appointments". I said I called to see if I needed to make an appointment this morning, she replied yea that's was today I said ma'am I would've made the appointment for a diff day you didn't offer the option. She ignored me and I left and went to Fleur De Lis spa in Harahan and had the top of line pedicure, and 2 mani/pedi for my family. They were packed with patrons and treated my mom, daughter and I like a true salon! So although this was a bad experience. My Mother's Day weekend was saved by a different place and I will be returning there twice monthly! Thanks Ciel/ L&D nails for a recurring bad experience.
