Located in the Metro Dental Center in DC near Georgia Avenue and Piney Branch Road. Dr. Belcher takes care of her patients. She shares an office with another dentist (I don't think they are usually in at the same time). To get to the office, you have to enter the Metro Dental Center building and take either the elevator or stairs up 1 floor - go left once you exit and walk a little and then take another left and walk to the end of that hallway to the office.
I first came across Dr. Belcher many years ago when my former dentist was either retiring or moving out of the area (I can't remember) and my co-worker at the time had mentioned she had frequented Dr. Belcher's office. I made an appoint back then and the rest is history.
Her and her employees are very friendly people and always have a smile on their faces. They will acknowledge when you get to the office and my appointments have always been on time (only once or twice it was a few minutes late). Her lobby has never been crowded in the years I visited (pre-covid, the most I have seen in the lobby is 1 other person).
I go there regularly to get a cleaning - one of the many procedures done here.
On my most recent visit (during Phase 2 o Covid) I was getting a procedure done. There are steps you have to follow, one of which is answering some questions (by phone) the day before your appointment. Before you arrive at the office, you have to wear a mask before entering. Once you have entered the office there are a few hand sanitizers available for you to use immediately (that is one of the questions they will ask you).
The lobby area no longer has as many chairs as before - there are only now 3 and each is socially distanced from the other. When it is time for your appointment, they ask you a few more questions and they check your temperature. All staff is masked up. I feel very comfortable and safe as I know I am in Dr. Belcher's hands and she will always look out for her patients.
Once you are seated in the chair, you are helped by one of the assistants before you see Dr. Belcher. If you have any questions, they will provide an answer. Overall, she is a great dentist.
Another thing to note is that now, you will no longer be in the presence of other patients in the lobby as appointments are now spaced out between each patient. Also do not arrive too early for your appointment - it is best to always call them first so that they can inform you if it is safe to come up early or not - do not arrive early unannounced (this is to benefit you, the staff and anyone else). read more
