I am absolutely helpless when it comes to cars. But after taking my car to the service department of the dealership I got it from multiple times over 2 years, I was fed up. I'd been bringing it to them for regular 5k oil changes, and repeatedly told them that the engine (or so I thought) was incredibly loud, and the steering column rattled when breaking. The slip indicator light came on randomly. I was ignored every time, and made to wait ridiculous hours for minor things, like changing a tire. So I found this place based off the great reviews across all platforms, and I am SO happy I did. I couldn't find anyone who would fit me in the week I called, and most places weren't open after Hurricane Ian. But they were! The owner, Danny, answered the phone himself and was so nice and efficient about booking me an appointment just two days away. I even had a concern with one of my lights that he looked at for free that same day in case he needed to order a part. Every time I have come in, Danny has either been in the office or on call to come in. Stand up guy, refreshing to see a service place that has management that cares. I came in to drop off, and the Service Advisor, Chris, listened to my concerns and noticed a "clunk" when turning that even I hadn't really noticed all that often, as well as excessive play in the wheel. This had been noticed previously by my prior mechanic, but had been brushed off as "No big deal." She said it shouldn't matter if I'd been driving it with that for this long. Meanwhile, Chris offered to run diagnostics, and I was desperate to have someone tell me what was wrong, so I agreed. Turns out, there was a LOT wrong! The serpentine belt, the pinion (where the noise was coming from!), the battery, all things any real mechanic should have spotted. My prior mechanic made no effort to inform me of how dangerous my car was, or that any of these things could have been a problem. And they diagnosed this ALL without me having remembered to tell them about the indicator light. When I asked for pictures, they were able to bring the parts to me and show me the damage first hand! Wow! Driving out of that lot felt like I had bought a new car, it handled so differently. Better than it did when I bought it. I'm furious at my previous mechanic (Toyota of Pinellas Park, be ashamed!) for putting my life and the stability of my car at risk. The repairs weren't cheap, but I consulted with my dad (a prior race car mechanic) and he agreed they were giving me a fair price for labor and parts. They also offered multiple financing options, and went to great lengths to make sure I could afford these repairs to make my car safe again. Danny came back in just to help me get my financing settled. Oh, and the decorations in the lobby were so nice. Not your standard run down mechanic lobby. Anyway, tldr: Go here! Their service was so good, Chris, Danny, Mic, and everyone else at the shop were so nice and put up with my rambling and freaking out and constant calling, and they WILL fix your car even if no one else could figure it out! Was watching a very cool old VW van they had on a lift. Some guy; "Can I help you?". Me; "Just watching, cool van etc.." Some guy; "Don't like people staring at me while working"... Me to myself; "what?!" How do you talk like that to a customer? Stressed out workers doing as much as they can, that was my impression. My oil was still dripping when the kid replaced the bolt... A guy came to me to advise me they don't want people looking, pretty much ("In case something flies"). Yeah right. I was out of the door, wasn't inside the shop... What's wrong with taking a look from a distance at the work they are doing to your car? What does that tell you? They also tried to sell me something I don't need, a tire balance. Seriously? They also used the wrong fluid for the steering in my minivan at the time. It is like going to a cheaper dealership. Honesty? Pretty terrible advertising. read more

Buick went in for oil change and tire rotation. Received call with a laundry list totaling $4000 of needed repairs. As this was totally unexpected, the laundry list and quote was a shock. We requested Beiler's address only the safety and serviceability items, while we consider the other issues. Beiler's then performed work per these parameters, and charged us $1,500. The car was picked up, driven 1.6 miles to Taco Bell along Fruitville, then 'around-the-corner' to Culvers. Enroute from Taco Bell to Culvers, rough idling was noticed. Upon starting the engine to leave Culvers, very thick white smoke was seen. The vehicle was towed from Culvers, back to Beilers (less than a mile down the road). We were then told, unfortunately the head gasket cracked, and it is just the luck of the draw. Um, the car ran fine, just needed an oil change, then $1,500.00 and 2 miles later, 2 as in 1+1=2, like T-W-O 2, miles later our engine is fully ruined, and Beiler's Auto Repair refuses to take any responsibility. 10/10, would not recommend Beiler's Auto Repair. As of this writing, the jury is out... 5-29-24 Update: We have had the car looked at by another reputable shop in the area. This shop says the reason the vehicle overheated was due to a obvious heater core hose leak connection on the backside of the engine. I am told by this tech, "it is apparent by evidence on the engine this was leaking for awhile, so what happened is, the water leaked out, causing the engine to overheat. When I took off the radiator cap, no coolant was visible in the radiator". Either this reputable shop (with no skin in the game) is misleading me, or Beilers misled me, as Danny assured me all fluids were checked and confirmed full, upon the return of the vehicle from Culvers. From the time the car left Beilers (supposedly full radiator) until the other shop informed me "no coolant was visible...", the engine ran no more than 3 minutes max. Interestingly, the heater core hose leak on the backside of the engine was not part of Beilers 'laundry list' of items needing attention. This is not about whether or not the engine can be warranted, it is about competence and accountability. I wish the best of luck to those who choose to use Beilers, however the lack of responsibility with this incident is more than we are able to overlook. read more

These guys have years of experience, are AAA approved as preferred mechanics and most of all honorable for they guarantee their work. The waiting area is spacious and clean. There's a Keurig for us to use while we wait. Conveniently located near I75, off Cattleman on Palmer makes location ideal for those emergency tows. I highly recommend these mechanics for those difficult jobs where guaranteed work is crucial! read more

i was on vacation in Florida and was concerned about my brakes. I should have looked into brakes and tires before venturing to Florida from New York. They were very professional and would check out everything early the next day. We dropped the car off at 8:30 and biked away. They called about an hour later with the results, and did required brake work and tires the same day. They even tweaked the alignment free of charge. I need to express my appreciation for the incredible acts of kindness they showed my mom and myself. I had my car towed to beiler's due to some engine problems in January. Over a period of phone calls I was in contact with Danny and Devin, both were so helpful, informative, funny, and friendly dealing with this delicate situation. My mother was in Maryland at the time and I was making lots of the phone calls to make sure we had all the facts straight while I was going back to school. We would have to replace the whole engine and the fees for the total cost were really fair and reasonable and they had no hidden fees; they had their whole cost up front. I also contacted Subaru and asked for their price if they could repair my car and Subaru would have been more expensive than going to beilers. Even while I was on the phone with Subaru they were praising Beilers for being a good mom and pop auto repair shop. We ultimately decided not to fix the car and but we would need to scrap it. My mom was planning on coming down to Florida anyway in February, so she helped take care of scrapping the car.They allowed us to keep the car on their parking lot for a whole entire month without charge! It was shocking to see such kindness. If I lived in Sarasota long-term I would definitely take my next car to them for any and all repairs. I called to have something very specific replaced. Now I'm a woman that spent years ordering parts and my ex owns a shop. This dude proceeds to mansplain to me and tell me how he has to do this and that and he won't replace the part I asked him to replace. Keep in mind IM THE PAYING CUSTOMER. The customer signs a form and they agree to pay for what's been done. Anyway dumb ass, I ended up calling BMW of Sarasota and they did what I asked, the car is running just as smoothly as the day I bought it! Your job is to work on cars, not tell people what you're not going to do. Just like people know their bodies, people know their cars. I have the same diagnostic tool they have and I always self diagnose and I've never ever been wrong.. It's a conflict of interest. If I brought my car in and paid for all the stuff this dude asked for the car still would've been broken I assure you. It's always better to just go to the dealership. You're not saving anything with these little shops. The only reason I even considered them was because of Yelp reviews. What an ass! I wish I remembered the guys name. If I ask you to do something say yes or no. I don't wanna hear what you have to say when you haven't even seen the car before. He would've never spoken to a knowledgeable man like that. Tired of it! Really great place, good, honest people. One time I brought my car in for something I can't even remember what it was but they fixed it then I came to pick it up and realized I forgot to tell them the windshield wipers were also broken (my fault I totally forgot to tell them). So I went back in to make another appt. and just like any car repair place they couldn't get me in for like another 2 days or so but I took it. The owner was in his office and overheard the conversation...(they were super busy, it was almost 5 o'clock and it had been raining off and on that day) so he comes out and says "no, we can't let a customer leave with broken wipers" asked for my keys, took my car back and had it fixed! I had my son bring in his truck to get his brakes replaced because he was previous told that they were very low and needed to be replaced. We dropped off the car in the morning. They called him not long after and told him that they brakes were actually fine. They had half their life left. And there was no need to do any work. It was unbelievable. Its been awhile I should have wrote this a long time ago! I just recommended this shop to a friend. Danny and crew are the best! Not sure why they got that bad review looks like he wanted to pick a fight! They are all honest, pleasant and all my friends go there and have never had a problem with their car, or the price! I thought I had a bad transmission and Danny researched my problem for over an hour finding out it was a sensor. Told me on the front end if it was the transmission he would have sent me down to a good transmission shop. Fixed it and more. Ended up selling it to a sweet girl who needed it for a blessing! now we have Mini and he was able to recommend Bruce Works who is also excellent down the street ! Traveled to Long Boat Key for annual beach bash. Live in Chicago and needed timing belt and related parts (gears/pump/seals/etc.) for my 2010 Honda Pilot. Shop was excellent. Great work. Pleasant staff. Cheap rental vehicles. Only complaint was they replaced serpentine belt without my approval. Would have said "OK" anyway if they would have called ahead and asked to replace. Would definitely use again. They even called after job complete and left VMM to ask if I was satisfied. You can tell they care about customer and not just a money grab. Mechanics are like doctors and HVAC repairman. They can really screw you over if they don't know what they are doing. Beiler's seems like they know their stuff.
