Like all the other Ollie's out there, the stock of items depend on what buyout they have partaken in. So each aisle is like a bad mixture of items that seem to go together, but really don't have a connection. And if you are looking for a particular item, that is almost always a no. Walking through this maze was not all that fun. I looked for things that I thought I needed, but did not find a single thing that I needed or wanted. I've been coming here for years. After I moved away to Las Vegas, I was introduced to antiques that were actually made while I was still alive. I don't think that counts (just yet). Yet I always enjoyed coming back to this place to see items that pre-date myself! The first floor has a myriad of items - from gorgeous dish sets, jewelry, dolls, books, and unique furniture items.. The second floor has a few structural things, bedding, etc. There is even a back room that houses some interesting outfits for the person who likes to wear the past. The building itself is unique. It is a unique stage for the antiques within. Every time I am here, I end up walking out with something new that I didn't know that I even wanted. You might not enjoy it as much as I do, but for me, this is my favorite place to walk into the past.

I purchased one of those old time plastic popcorn holiday decorations that were massively popular in the 70s. My mom had many of these for the holidays and I've managed to uncover a few of them for my house. It always makes me think of her. On this visit, I saw a very unique one that was a hippie love sign. It was a little out of my price range, but my kids insisted I go back and get it. I reluctantly agreed, and the shopkeeper was so nice to let me get it despite actually being closed. She told me these signs used to cost $2 a piece. I definitely paid a lot more than that! But am so happy whenever I see it in our window.
