This place is so off the map and so cool. I'm just so scared that not enough people know about it! Y'all need to get here and support this business! I'm going to tell you why!
Atmosphere/Appearance: Set right in the plaza off of Rue-Lionel in the industrial sector is this gem. I believe it's only open for lunch, but don't quote me. There is plenty of outdoor seating for those warm summer months. Inside is the place to be though! It's one giant room with a very eclectic look. There are different chairs at each table with a variety of paintings that are all for sale hung around the restaurant. The menu is all in French, but it's not too difficult to figure out. The daily specials menu is located toward the back and there are some pretty interesting things on there. The kitchen is also directly in the back and open to be viewed.
Service: Alexandria seemed to ALWAYS be there when we came in for lunch. She was also the only one we saw taking tables throughout the whole restaurant. Sadly to say, the restaurant was never really busy enough to probably need more than 1 server for more than a hour or so. She was amazing though. She remembered our names, smiled a lot, was helpful and always took great care of us.
Food: So... I've been here 5 times throughout my business travels in Montreal. It seems to be Mexican themed... Let's go over what I've had. My first visit yielded the Chicken Quesadilla and it was my favorite thing I've had there. It's a chicken quesadilla served with tortilla chips squirted with sour cream, a side of guacamole, coleslaw and hot sauce. It's a hefty amount of food for sure. There's this home-made hot sauce though... it's INCREDIBLE and needs to be put on everything! It's free, just ask for it. Our table asked for so much of it that they stopped serving it in little cups and bottled it for easier use (going forward in future visits as well)! My next visit yielded the trio of tacos. One is beef, one is chicken and one is bean. It's served with basically the same sides as the quesadilla, but with some pico de gallo to put on the tacos. They were pretty good. On the 3rd visit I had the Showbeez, which is a chicken club sandwich served with the fried potatoes and coleslaw. This was my 2nd favorite thing I had at this restaurant. The potatoes are decent, but needed more seasoning... or their specialty hot sauce! On my 4th visit I tried the Huevos Rancheros. Now I've had it other places and really liked it... but not so much here. It was just different compared to what I've had before. It's basically beef chili served on top of the tortilla chips, but it should be on the tortillas... I don't know man. Never again. Lastly, I tried the Mexican Casserole and it just felt like the Huevos, but in a bowl... skip that. Get the quesadilla or the club sandwich. Those are awesome.

The pricing here is EXCELLENT, especially with the amount of food and quality of food that you get. Check this place out if you're in the area!
In conclusion, I'd absolutely come back here for lunch. Shoot, I'm in Montreal right now and may stop in tomorrow! I already know what I'll be getting too! read more
