I was in the Montvale area and decided to stop in because ya girl was PARCHED and in need of a refreshing pick-me-up. The store is located inside The Shoppes at DePiero Farm, so there's plenty of parking available. The interior is bright, modern, and decorated with lush plants that create a relaxing atmosphere. There's five tables, along with counter seating where you can watch the kitchen in action as they prep and blend each drink fresh to order. The menu is packed with options--it almost feels a little overwhelming! They've got everything from fresh juices and smoothies to protein shakes, wellness shots, and coffee, all made with a solid variety of fruits, vegetables, and superfoods. Looking for something more filling? There are acai bowls you can fully customize with different bases and toppings. There's also grab-and-go items like overnight oats, wraps, protein bites, and veggies with hummus. Most of the menu is organic, gluten free, and vegan. It's technically healthy and an easy way to get in some extra antioxidants and nutrients. But it's also worth keeping in mind that some of the drinks and bowls can sneak up on you with high sugar levels and calories. After going back and forth between a few options, I decided to order the Inflammation Fix Juice [~$10], made with cucumber, kale, apple, lemon, turmeric, and ginger. There's a 2.6% discount for cash payments. Service was quick, and my drink was prepared within a few minutes. Was it worth the $10? No. It wasn't like any juice bar drink I've had before...not in the good way. It came out almost lukewarm instead of cold. The texture was a bit frothy. It tasted a little too sweet. The apple and cucumber really took over the flavor profile and masked the rest of the ingredients. I could barely taste the ginger and turmeric, which was a disappointment because I LOVE that strong, spicy kick they give. I'm giving it 3 stars because it wouldn't be fair to write them off after trying just one drink. If I'm in the area again, I'd probably give them another try and maybe get a smoothie instead. And honestly, I'm not a big fan of spending money on juices and smoothies since I prefer eating fruits and veggies whole. Prices are mid range; a little expensive but usually these type of business you can easily rack up some dollars for a few items. You also need to factor in that this is a rich neighborhood. Possibly cheaper than NYC. Top quality products are worth paying for. Place is clean and staff is courteous and ready to take your order when you are ready. Location is prime as it has a Wegmans, Starbucks, Habit Grille, various eateries including a Greek restaurant, lululemon, Chase bank, etc....you get the point. New development is only a few years old. They've also built luxury rentals/condos in close proximity. Prior to the development, a family owned farm, Depiero's occupied acres of this area and I'm sure they were able to get a big fortune by selling it. Their customer service is so great! We got a large ACAI Bowl. It was made to order, everything was exactly how we like it! My friend and I shared it and enjoyed it as a healthy breakfast option. Didn't care for the health nut smoothie. I picked it because it had a lot of stuff in it like mixed berries, hemp seeds, chia seeds, kale, and almond milk...but it amounted to nothing in flavor. One of the flavors should've stood out but they just all canceled each other out. I definitely should've just waited till I got home to make myself a smoothie. I've come here a few times and had a good experience but the latest visit could have been better. Their menu is a mixture of juices, smoothies, bowls and protein shakes. They also sell some takeout drinks, protein balls and local eggs in a little fridge. We ordered the cinnsation and green start juice today. Usually there aren't that many customers but today was bustling on a warmish summer day. Service isn't super quick generally and that's okay. The cinnsation eventually came out and then we waited and waited for the other juice. Apparently another customer took the juice and drank some, returned and was given his real drink. And they hastily made another juice for us but it was very light in color and seemed to be missing something. There wasn't really a great response or apology which was rather disappointing. It seemed to be a rather hectic day though, and I've had better experiences in the past. Seems like there should be a better system of keeping orders straight instead of calling out the name of something. These drinks and bowls aren't cheap but folks seem willing to pay, as juices can be a pain to make yourself. It's a smallish place with a few tables. I had the acai dream and added peanut butter and it was so delicious! The granola in the bowl is so much better than the granola at most acai bowl places. The fruit was fresh and the peanut butter was really good! I would definitely recommend coming here and trying the acai dream, but I am sure all of the bowls are amazing! It was not too crowded and there are a few tables and a counter to sit at so there is plenty of seating. A lot of people were also coming in and ordering to go. I ordered the force field juice, which was predominantly beet based, evident by the color in the photos I posted of it. I liked that it tasted very fresh and how you could taste each ingredient in the drink (which I don't remember at the moment), but I thought it was too sweet. This is certainly not the fault of the juice bar, but rather the choice of juice I had. For a future visit.
