When I was hunting for garden centers in the area, this came up with great reviews and I decided to check it out. It was definitely better than expected. They had a really nice selection of both indoor and outdoor plants. I came looking specifically for hydrangeas, and they probably had 10 to 15 varieties available - some needing full sun and some needing partial. The gentleman that was working there was very friendly. I wanted two plants that looked similar to sit side-by-side by my front door. He helped me choose the variety, and two plants that looked the most similar. We ended up deciding on the candy apple variety by Monrovia. It needs full sun and should bloom through summer with blooms that will last till October. Once I paid, they carried the plants out to the car for me, laid plastic in my car and packed everything for me. I thought this was really a nice service. This is definitely more expensive than Home Depot, but they carry much nicer product with wider variety and better service. Especially if you're just looking for a couple plants, I would definitely come here instead. I asked about some fall perennial plants, and he recommended I come back after Halloween to check out what they'll have in season for winter. I will definitely be back.

This shop sells plants uncommon to most plant shops in the city such as the Hoya Hindu Rope and Peperomia plant. The staff is extremely knowledgeable on all the plant for sale and will give detailed instruction on how much sunlight and water is needed in order for it to thrive. Plus, if you buy a pot in shop, they will gladly pot it for you so you can leave ready to show it off. If you're in the neighborhood, I definitely recommend stopping by for a new plant baby.

It never drank any water and was dead and dry. I wanted to ask them to do a bigger cut but they were busy, one man was yelling at people, and not accommodating. We won't be back to tree barn.

Also management should do a little better of a job teaching the tree salesmen how to securely tie the trees to cars, it's a miracle I made it home with my tree still secured to my car's roof. In terms of price, I find Tree Barn pricing to be standard. I am sure you can get a tree for less at Home Depot, but I don't usually like their selection, although the parking situation at Home Depot is much more desirable.

That being said, it was a little off putting and I did not enjoy being followed around the store. However, they have a super adorable shop cat which makes up for the hovering! I've done the same for gifts and they always come out so lovely and thoughtfully arranged, but you do have to go like $35+ to get something sizeable. Also gotta shout out that the peonies that I was sent from here were not only were stunners but lasted soooo much longer than ones from other shops. I don't have too many houseplants from this shop, but was gifted a tiny succulent like 2+ years ago from here and it is growing and happy and THRIVING. My husband and I bought a 125 year old fixer-upper 2 years ago with a small and severely neglected backyard. The before pictures don't show truly how horrifying it was. The yard was uneven, completely overgrown with weeds, broken and mismatched pavers; there was a 4-foot drop-off 6-feet from the back fence with a collapsing retaining wall that only went partially across the property. The drainage on the house was not properly routed which caused water damage in the basement and must have damaged the yard because the previous owners put down a 7x10 foot turf rug in its place. Visually, the yard was an embarrassment. The backyard neighbors even planted pine trees to block their view of our yard before we bought it. More importantly, it was incredibly unsafe. I nearly twisted my ankle just walking out there when we were first looking at the house. I wouldn't even let our dogs go out there, let alone our children. When Jose came for our consultation, he completely understood our vision for the space and talked us through exactly how he would make that a reality. The team just finished the job yesterday and it is even better than we imagined! Our yard is now a beautifully manicured oasis. They did such an incredible job that it looks like it was always well cared for. Looking at the final product, you would never know how much work they put in; truly a flawless job! The team built a beautiful and sturdy retaining wall, backfilled the drop-off, leveled and graded the yard, reinforced the posts and put the fence back up, installed a proper drainage system that routes away from the house, removed several metal chain-link fence posts, laid sod and designed a gorgeous Cambridge paving stone patio. We could not be more thrilled with the job they did. We will eventually updated the front yard and redo the driveway and we greatly look forward to working with Backyard Bros again. I ordered a Calla Lilly bouquet for my wife for mothers day. They charged me as soon as I ordered and said that if they can't fill my order they would not charge me. When I showed up to pick it up, it was a completely different set of flowers that my wife was allergic to. I immediately refused the bouquet and the person behind me bought what I had refused. The person working told me that he could not refund me even though he had already sold it. He said only the owner could refund and that it would be taken care of that same day. After weeks of leaving massages and coming into the shop, nothing was done not even a call back. I eventually disputed the charges and got my money back from my credit card company, but as a business owner myself this was unacceptable and I would never recommend them for anything. With this kind of customer service I'm amazed that they are still in business. read more

I can honestly say Beethoven Veranda saved the day. Not knowing what to order, or which flowers to buy, I spoke with William (the owner) over the phone, told him my situation, and he took care of the rest. Great local business willing to go the distance for customers. We needed some boxwoods as a housewarming present - Bill advised us on what to choose and brought them from his other store as the Hoboken store didn't have what we wanted. My request: An arrangement suitable for a bride-to-be who loves Alexander McQueen Carolyn took great care with my order and took the time to ensure the finer details were correct (style, card message, name spellings), and she was very personable as well. In short, Carolyn provided great customer service. Not only was the floral arrangement beautiful (see photo), Laura Clare Floral Design stayed within the budget I gave them, and they delivered on time. FYI -- Other florists in the area have great Yelp reviews as well, but you'll quickly find they are simply reselling the same Teleflora arrangements. Note: They're closed on Sunday and Monday (no deliveries on these days)
