I have been seeing Dr. Beetham and her staff for a few years and they are the absolute best. They have always been kind, attentive, incredibly knowledgeable, and professional, from the front desk staff to dental hygienists, and Dr. Beetham herself. They seem to truly care about me as a person and not just a client/patient - they ask how my work is, about any vacations I might have been on...they even ask about my cat! I appreciate the care and attention they put into their work and have been so pleased with how well they've taken care of me and my teeth (which says a lot, considering how bad my gums are!) They make me WANT to take better care of my teeth and gums - I floss every single night and sometimes even twice a day, which to me is crazy because I HATE to floss! I also am almost finished with Invisalign and they made the process incredibly easy. I'm so happy with the results! Anyway, I adore them and will continue being a patient :) read more

I have seen Dr. Beetham and her office for ten years. My sister referred me. I have had nothing short of perfect visits. Cleanings, x-rays, and rare cavity fillings. They are always flexible on scheduling, welcoming and give plenty of reminders. The hygienists have clean stations and do a thorough job with their cleanings. I've been a patient of Dr. Beetham for 12 years. I've had extensive reconstruction work done over the past 2 years. She outlined an overall plan that we've now accomplished. My teeth are more secure than they've ever been. Why do I love this dentist? She and her staff are pure perfection. Welcoming, caring, fun to interact with and overall exceptional. Dr. Beetham is kind, patient, explains everything in detail and she really cares. Their integrity also deserves a high score. I read a couple of negative reviews which I dispute. I went in for a filling fixed today and had a surprise root canal. From start to finish Alyona and Anastasia made me feel extremely welcomed and helped me set a payment plan for any work not covered. The assistants comforted me throughout the procedure, being very aware of my nervousness and detailed during my treatment. I was anxious and scared when I first heard the news because I have been told root canal's are extremely painful, however, I can honest to God say I did not feel a thing! Dr. Beetham was extremely gentle, constantly checking in, and explained the entire process. She would always ask if I felt pain and if so to let her know- she made me feel at ease. Although it really sucked I had to have a root canal, considering the given circumstances I can say it was a pleasant experience. I Would recommend her to anyone who is also timid and hesitant to get work done. read more

Ruined two of my teeth. Dr. Beetham replaced two old fillings which were showing signs of aging. For several months after that I couldn't chew on that side, I was in so much pain on the surface of the teeth when chewing. Also she left huge open contact between two sets of teeth so a lot of food would get stuck in there constantly. It was also painful for the gums when food would get pushed down hard on them when chewing because of the open contact. My gums started getting inflamed and puffy from all the food that would constantly get stuck in there. I went back as this is a warranty issue and needs to be fixed. She came up with a number of excuses and unrealistic alternatives to fix the issue but didn't want to do the right thing. $500 later another dentist redid everything and now I am pain free. Other challenges with this office: If you start inquiring about her rationale regarding her proposed treatment, she becomes disrespectful and flat out offensive. Made me really uncomfortable, I really wanted to get up and leave. I would also agree with other consumer reviews that she wants to put crowns on as many teeth as she can get away with..."because the insurance will pay for it". I also got overcharged on both occasions I was there and had to work with them after the fact to get credit back. Understandably I would not go back and would not recommend. read more

I've been coming to this dental office for several years. I've seen Dr. Nagata and Dr. Beetham. The service has always been pleasant, but my last few visits were not, and after switching to another office, I think it's important that I warn people about this office. The first incident is from when I received shots in my gums to prepare for fillings. My gums were not numbed properly and the shots were so painful that I yelled out in pain. Rather than stopping and putting the numbing solution on for longer, Dr. Nagata continued as I writhed in pain. I was in tears so she left me there to "settle down". When she returned she told me that the bottom gums are always more painful and that this was normal. FYI - It's not normal. The second incident was that Dr. Nagata placed a filling in improperly. I came back and let them know it hurt to bite down on anything like a cracker or a potato chip. The told me it was just the bite being off. I mentioned that it also hurt to floss between that tooth and the tooth next to it - that pulling the floss out hurt. That is NOT indicative of the bite being off. They told me the filling was probably still too new, although about 8 weeks had gone by at this point. When it continued to bother me, I came back. Dr. Beetham saw me on this visit and continued to insist it was just the bite. She filed it down a bit and sent me on my way, telling me that if it continued to bother me, to come back. Of course this didn't work. My new dentist tells me that the filling was not secured properly, and that there is also subsequently a chip in the filling. It seems obvious to me that Dr. Nagata/Beetham didn't want to admit the filling was placed improperly because that would mean replacing it for free. If they could make me live with it for long enough, they could say it wasn't their fault and charge me to fix a filling that was never correctly placed. That may seem like a strong accusation, which brings me to my last and most important story. When I started coming to this office I hadn't had insurance in several years. So when they told me that my mouth was full of decay and that I needed several fillings in each quadrant, I believed them. I was told all 4 quadrants needed fillings, between 4 and 8 fillings each, and that one tooth had so much decay that I needed a root canal and crown. Over the course of 2 or 3 years, I went back to them for the work I was told I needed. It cost me hundreds of dollars out of pocket, even with good insurance, and the crown cost me over $700. I was a single mom on a very limited income - this was a huge cost for me. I got 3 of the 4 quadrants taken care of, all except the bottom left quadrant, which I was told needed several fillings. I can't remember the exact number, but it was somewhere around 4-6. Before I was able to get the fillings, my employer changed our dental plan and I could no longer come to this office. My insurance began with Willamette Dental Group, where the dentists are not paid per-procedure, they are paid on a results basis. This means they are penalized for doing things that aren't necessary for the patient, and are incentivized for teeth staying healthy over time. I got my x-rays and cleaning done at my first visit and awaited the diagnosis. I expected them to tell me about the fillings needed in the 4th quadrant that I hadn't had done yet. Instead I was told: "Your mouth looks great, there are no signs of decay and your gums are very healthy!" I told them they must be wrong. I asked them what Dr. Beetham's office had told me. Concerned they said, "Oh my, let me check again and see if I missed something!" ...That would certainly be a lot to miss. After looking over my x-rays and checking my teeth again just to be sure, they confirmed that there was NO DECAY. None. So either I have teeth with the incredible healing power of Wolverine, or some very immoral, fraudulent things occurred in my time as a patient here. Now I question everything I had done here. Not just the many, many fillings, but especially the root canal and crown. I wish I had gotten a second opinion. I know this is a long review, but I wish very much I had been given some warning. This office was highly recommended to me by a friend, but I wonder if she was just lucky, or if she had hundreds of dollars worth of unnecessary work done too. Patient beware. read more

Dr Beetham is the best dentist I have ever been to and I am so pleased I found her in my search for a new dentist 2 years ago. She takes the extra time when needed and fully explains any procedures and options that she is recommending. Her staff is made up of a fabulous, caring and accommodating team. Worst dentist I have ever seen, I did a filling last year and the pain last for 6 months, during the same time I visited doctor's office multiple times but was told to wait until 100% recover. In April and revisited and Doctor refilled the tooth for me, but the pain still exist. I changed to another dentist and was told the previous filling was all wrong, it was too close to the nerve and cause inflammation, so I had to do the root canal. My wife's was Beetham's patient as well, she is slightly better than me but still suffer 2+ months after the filling. Beetham always suggest over treatment for your teeth and the surgery was all wrong. read more

I have been a patient at Dr. Beetham's office for 10 years now, as well as my 2 kids and extended family. We have always received excellent care. My kids actually want me to make appointments for them when they are not even due yet. Everyone in their office is pleasant and helpful. Friendly and familiar faces every time we come. Their office is modern and very clean. Their business must be doing well because they just extended their office to have more rooms available. Do not use this dentist!!! Long story but please read it all as I caution you against this place! I went to this office to have my wisdom teeth that had grown in and been through for years. I was having issues with my teeth crowding, I saw Dr. Beetham. I had a large cavity in my lower right wisdom tooth. She didnt want to remove the right side wisdom teeth because she said them my top tooth in front of my wisdom teeth would no longer have a connection point in my bite and it would grow down and cause issues even tho over half of that tooth meets and bites my other bottom teeth. She said she could fix the cavities on the outer side of my bottom right wisdom tooth and my top right wisdom tooth. So she pulled my left 2 wisdom teeth and "fixed" the bottom right. She prescribed me medication for pain and swelling. I began taking them and less than 2 days later I was in the hospital. She did not ask me any medical history or if I had allergies to any meds. She prescribed a medication that has a high side effect of causing serious digestive/esophageal issues to anyone with GERD or ulcers. I ended up with Esophagitis from the acid erosion from the medication I was prescribed. THEN when I could finally open my mouth wide enough to look at the repaired tooth on the right the giant cavity on the outside of my tooth was STILL THERE! There was a filling in the top of my tooth but the side is still a brown rigid cavity opening! My bite from the filling has never touched right since I went there either. I tried to contact them to tell them I was very I dissatisfied with my experience and was not willing to pay until they rectified the issues and instead of fixing it they sent me to collections. I paid the bill and will never set foot there again. It took me 3 months before I could finally eat normally again and I missed a month of work due to their negligence. read more
