Do not hire. They started out as a good company, quality work, quality service and I use to promote them, but now it is up sell, profit and not so great quality. The last time they came at my house was in the winter the tech spent most (about a half hour) of his time trying to sell me on products before he decided to get the furnace running again. My neighbour paid a lot for her furnace and the add ons and the soda ash compartment connection, that they did, failed and they wanted $149 just to show up at the door. They started as customer service orientated and when they got popular, like everything else, greed came first and customer caring second. Installed a 60 000$ new furnace / AC system in summer 2024. Received 160$ consulting fee in October 2024. They did a mistake and cancelled it. City Inspector inspector came twice and informs me that the furnace is not running to code. Tried my best to explain it to them and asked them to call the city inspector. They send me a consulting fee of 168$. They inform me that they charge consulting fees to review concerns of the city inspector. I paid the 168$. read more

Very unhappy with this company, a year ago, I got a new furnace installed by Bees Knees, their technicians were efficient and reliable. However, they failed to inform me of a simple power switch for the furnace. My knowledge when it comes to heating is definitely lack luster, that is why I call professionals. Fast forward to this year, the switch is off (since im trying to get my furnace working for winter) and I fail to understand why my furnace isn't working. The technician that comes in finds the switch and flips on the power in 20 seconds..... I was still charged a ridiculous consultation fee of $140 for under a minute worth of work. I highly discourage anyone from using Bees Knees. this was such a money grab even after I payed hundreds in labor in the prior year. These technicians should've informed me of this simple switch. Very poor communication, and Bees Knees definitely just grabs your money. Terrible experience. read more

Do not trust these people. When I called them, they said there was a $130 consulting fee that would be deducted if I went ahead with it. If I had no gone ahead with the work, it was like them charging $130 to have someone else do the work. I have a toilet that was leaking soiled water from the bottom. He pulled the toilet and says he changed the wax ring. I asked why it cost more than $450 to change a wax ring when the part was less that $10. I was told they charge by the job, not 1/2 hour of labour. Then I asked why my bill wasn't reduced by $130. Same answer. But the kicker is, they fixed absolutely nothing. It still leaks out of the bottom of the toilet. read more

"After years of quality work, support and customer service Bees Knees fell short. They failed to provide the service I would expect from any contractor. They were hired to clean out a drain line and subsequently turned off the tenants house gas due to a leak. They neither directly notified Fortis nor myself, the landlord, of their actions causing my tenants to go without hot running water for two days until I randomly discovered the inconvenience. I contacted Fortis to check the situation, they were great and immediately got the hot water running again. I then had Bees Knees return to install a valve on a gas line. Somehow the job took four hours(with the available parts I could have done the same job in less time) to complete, and the line was left inaccessible for a simple hook-up of a gas stove. It took me two and a half hours to navigate their technically correct but common sense stupidity. They charged me over nine hundred dollars on top of the over sixteen hundred dollar drain cleaning. They were completely unwilling to compensate me at all for time and materials to set their job right. It seems to me that their skyrocketing growth has cost them in quality customer service and I would be wary of their steep pricing. I called on to get help with an insurance inquiry, and they promptly responded without hesitation to help me. I called their competitor and was given a song and dance and told that they would charge me for a call out to answer my question. Wow! Amazing customer service which is very hard to find in Kelowna. Punctual and friendly. We had them install a bathtub in our master bath and it is beautifully done!
