It's a good place for beer of course but the menu is good for all types like vegetarian and vegan . Our salad was good but my daughter didn't like the steak much . The ambiance is great if you want to watch a game .

Warm welcome will get you in the door. The friendly, helpful and attentive service will make your dining experience memorable. Stopped in on a Sunday evening for dinner with my boyfriend. We were greeted right away. After we were seated, our server was over right away. Hunter was very helpful. The beer options are incredible and can be overwhelming. Hunter was really good with breaking the drink menu down. While beer isn't my thing, they cater to just about every taste. They even offer gluten free beer! Speaking of gluten free - they offer so many gluten free options. I opted for the lettuce wrapped double standard burger. It was delicious! It came between a head of iceberg lettuce (who needs a salad!). My boyfriend got the brisket burger and loved it! I tried a piece of the brisket and it was tasty. I should add, their prices points are reasonable too. All and all great atmosphere to dine in or catch a game - lots of tvs! Definitely worth checking out!

First time trying this place. We wanted to order some take out and figured we'd try it out. I ordered the Veg. Pad Thai, husband ordered the BBQ Brisket and WOW!!!! I have had many different Pad Thai dishes and this by far was my favourite! My husband has never tried Brisket (I know wow right?) and he loved it! Great portions, I couldn't finish it all. I took a picture of my leftovers because it was so good that I forgot until it was almost gone. We will be back for date night for sure to dine because if take out was this good, I can only imagine how dining in would be!

    Supposedly Mac and cheese??

I also tried the sticky toffee pudding and it was ok at best. The service was tremendous as usual and its a friendly price point. It was the busiest i had seen it in my previous visits so there was some ambiance. Now that is summertime i will going there more frequently and looking forward it. Im going to get a full order of fish and chips next time and I want to try their roast beef dinner on Sundays

Sadly I have to change my review. I've been going for trivia on Wednesdays since 2017, but it looks…read morelike last night was probably my last time. They've introduced pay-to-win mechanics into their trivia, in the form of awarding points for Wednesday's trivia to people who order entrees on Sunday-Tuesday. Needless to say, this undermines the spirit of trivia and of competition for the sake of a few extra bucks. I contacted the pub itself but they ignored me. I contacted the company that hosts the trivia, PubStumpers, but they seemed more concerned with persuading me that the pay-to-win mechanic was acceptable, rather than listening to my objection. The trivia IS fun, but now it is only fun if you don't mind that a game of skill and chance is now about skill, chance, and how much extra money you are willing to pay. Very disappointing for trivia enthusiasts.

Very nondescript outside facade - no sign telling you what it is other than a small "BSC" (for Bovine Sex Club) painted near the door. Hard to miss though as the exterior is made up a punk rock style sculpture of rusted bikes & other assorted ephemera. The interior is similar, visually. Great sound system & chill vibes pervade throughout. Weirdly the stage is right in the entrance of the club, on your left, with a long bar along the right side, heading back. Great, crowd, great location in cool area with lots of restaurants & plenty of parking - both on the street up to 2 hours & extended parking for a flat-rate of CA$20 (~$14 USD) from 6:00pm until the next morning, just 2 blacks away.

Are the beer cans running out? It's possible. But, it's a dive in the way of the old dives. And the acoustics for bands are... not great. But they are a sign of what once was. Without attempting to try to present a front of a time long gone, The Bovine simply exists today as it once did in that time long ago, before Smokes stickers, before iPhones, back when people would just go to a bar to talk with those they didn't know the morning prior. Bring cash though, unless you're looking to make some big orders, because credit card is a minimum fifty-dollar spend.
