This might be roughly translated as a "dive bar" but really it isn't. It's feels like one, thanks to the decor and the easy going atmosphere, but thier selection of beers, and sophistication of thier cocktails earns them higher praise.
The first thing that struck us was thier fantastic music. I don't know who is curating their Playlist, but it hit us right in our tween to twenty. We came back a second time because the Playlist was so good, along with the karaoke lyrics to go along.
The beer selection rivaled any craft beer bar I have ever been to, while the cocktail menu kept my (very judgmental) liquor biased friends happy.
It's full of the kind of personality that doesn't require you to speak Italian, just be able to read a beer menu and point to the superhero on tap that best suits your want.
The bartenders speak enough English for you to never feel like you are on the wrong side of a joke, even if they raise an eyebrow at things that don't translate. But they are the kind of people who will draw you a treasure map to the best pizza you have ever eaten in your life that is still open late.
We have been to Venice, Ravenna, Rome, Tuscany, and Florence, and here in Florence, we may have found the best bar in all of Italy.
You might sweat from the lack of air conditioning, but have a couple, and they will make you feel like you are among friends. read more
