This is a unique hidden little whole in the wall bar. It's cash only so beware to bring cash. It's hidden behind a trailer park but don't let that deceive you. It's right on the river, outside seating with live music, it's the perfect spot for a evening drink. The food shack has pretty good food but beer shed itself has none. Order a bucket of beer, bring some friends and enjoy. It's not too pricey either. You can come by boat too off the alafia river which makes for a fun evening. read more

This is the "Dive Bar" category, and thus, get a 5-star review...in that category. Nobody is going to mistake this place for a bar in South Tampa, where you pay $6 for a domestic, and $12 for a shot of mid-level whiskey. $2 a beer..and, some of the best THAI food in the area. Anyone complaining about the food, and misses their "nachos or cheese sticks or moon pies" or whatever...should just stop complaining. If you go here for THAI food, scenery and cheap drinks..you'll be pleased every single time. Drunken noodles...pad Thai...duck-fried rice...Red Curry w/chicken, etc, etc... ALL are OUTSTANDING. Hard to find...and, when you turn down the street, you'll swear you're lost. You're not. It's at the back of a neighborhood (not a trailer park like some reviewers claim). There are actually a few nice homes, and some trailers...with NO street lights. I've never felt uncomfortable...and, the karaoke is a nice addition on the weekends. We go here about once a week. It's worth every penny. read more

they only serve to the white people and will ignore all non-white guests. please be sure you're white if you want to receive service.

Great place. Great atmosphere. Great people. Great prices. Can't ask for much more than that. Ordered a catfish sandwich with fries, and it was delicious. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll be back. Has a great view of a beautiful river. We sat at a table right by the water. read more

This place is awesome... if you love karaoke, local flavor and a view of the river this is your place. Only serves beer/wine, bring cash... and don't dress fancy. The parking lot is VERY small and it gets very crowded. But if you want a good time where you can relax, enjoy and watch the entertainment, this place is for you. read more

Definitely one of a kind, went here with a buddy and had some beers. Fair price and is definitely a "neighborhood" bar. Don't let the trailer park fool you. Everyone was extremely nice. Next time going to have to try a burger, that think looked amazing. REMEMBER ITS CASH ONLY, they do have an ATM. Definitely a place you got to try at least once. Ask them about the wooden door on the cooler. read more

Love this place. Dive bar to the max and tucked away in what looks like it could be a sketchy TP, it is always a good time. Great drunk food and prices are fantastic. It is always a great people watching spot, that should be guaranteed! read more

Good place to drink cheap beer and listen to the locals talk about the good old days when it was legal to beat your wife. They have ample boat parking which is nice. Bartenders are very willing and NASCAR is always on the tube. If you do go please tip the help, cause shit man, their job sucks. read more

Awesome stop on a Sunday afternoon with cold beer, awesome view of the river, and amazing sandwich from Danny's next door.

Had a bad experience, but very reluctant to blame it on the establishment. Transplant from the Midwest to the Tampa area. Not a place for anyone of color. Red Neck Bar, and that is ok if that is what you are into. America is better than that. read more

It's affordable and the bartender was nice. Me and my boyfriend (interracial couple) walked into the bar and literally ALL eyes were on us, like the entire time. the vibe was downright uncomfortable for both of us. Have the locals never seen a couple of different races before? So we decided to sit outside on the river. It was very beautiful at night! The view was really nice, but the overall vibe sucked I felt like I took a time machine back to the 60s. read more

Had an awesome time with my roommate! Great food and cheap beer right on the Alafia river! Great times! Would definitely come back! read more

Beer Shed - Bars Near Me - Riverview, Florida

. I thought it was a nice little place with a great location. The food shack was cool too. Got 4 beers from a polite female bartender with a lower back tattoo. Our tab was $10. At this point I was thinking great, I'll for sure be back here. read more

Cold beer in a bottle or draft...they have karaoke...its right by the river ...so good spot...people are very friendly....we had the Cracker Nachos which is very appropriate...fries, pulled pork, pickles, jalapenos and bbq dauce....at 11 pm its not a bad snack...bathrooms were clean... read more

What a gem!!! Tiny local spot on the river. This is exactly like it sounds, a broken down shed on the Alafia River. Imagine a broken down double wide trailer, that happens to serve beer, has a frier, and the best outdoor seating on the Alafia River. Take it for what it is and you will have a blast next to bikers, rednecks, and more! We go here often for a beer on the water. It's always a great time. read more

Stumbled on the place looking for somewhere open passed 10:00pm on a week night to have a cold one and watch the Rays game. I'm so glad we did. Don't let the drive through the trailer park fool you. Great local hangout with great food and some of the friendliest people you would ever want to meet. No frills and I do mean no frills. We went on Tuesday night with not much going on which allowed us to be introduced to the bartender and some of the friendly locals. Went back on Wednesday (Karaoke Night). The place was packed, (the bartender remembered us), the beer was cold, food was great and some of the best local talent I've heard in a very long time. This is definitely a diamond in the rough!!!!! Tips: Cash only Food served only until 9 Beer buckets are $14.00 read more

Had a heck of a time finding this place even after having been here once before. After negotiating the trailer park I managed to stumble upon it. Well worth it as part of my Sunday riding ritual. Nice riverside view and pleasant atmosphere. Decent food and cold beer. A-OK read more

Cheap drinks and great karaoke! Try this place on a Saturday night. In the middle of a trailer park but it's the best dive bar around!! We can't stop going... And they accept credit cards now... read more

Yup a five star hole in the wall. Good times for us river rats! Cold beer and a great view of the river.

Cool place on the river. Cheap cold beer with a food shed next door. Great outdoor patio right on the river. Stopped in for some food and a couple beers after mountain biking Alafia. read more

Very rude owner walked up to me yelling at my service dog and I to get out. I said that he was a service dog and had a visible vest on. I tried to show him the paperwork and he wouldn't even look at me and just kept saying "He's not a service dog bye". I will not be returning, other times I have been here were not the best experiences either. Bad and rude owner and dirty place. Wish I could give this place 0 stars. read more

Some of the previous reviews almost kept me from going to the Beer Shed. I am glad I went. November 8th I met with some friends that have been going there for years. Let me explain what this place is and is not. It is not a disco or new fangled club where beer is $8.00 a bottle. It is not a rowdy fighting bar. It is a nice rustic dive. Like an old fishing building along the river. It has a nice bar to sit at and plenty of tables inside. The key to write a proper review for this place is this. The Beer Shed is just that! Beer.. Plenty of different types of beer. No food, no candy, no gimmicks, just a nice place to gather with friends and enjoy stories and beer. The folks I met were friendly. No-one knew me but I made the effort to say hello and I had 8 friends. The bartender was great. Parking is a little tight. There is also access by boat from the Alafia river. Outside was even better. All wood picnic tables under an overhang. Other tables around and all with a fantastic view of the river. It was a relaxing place. Plus the low price of beer was amazing. By the pitcher, by the Bottle or in a small metal bucket with bottles covered with ice. OKAY food. Right next to the Beer Shed is a place for good food. They have a good size menu. I like Gator bites so I was going to order some. BUT I saw venison sliders. I am glad I tried them. They were so good. The proprietor of this food place is the owner of Danny's All-American Diner & Dairy Bar. Located north of Kennedy on Falkenburg . This place was featured on the show Dinner, Drive-ins and Dives. I will be going back. read more

This place is a awesome place hidden. Good cold beer cheap, and the food next door great! Had a fun band playing. I saw, from other reviews to try the chicken wings, and they were one of the best I have had. Will definitely recommend this fun little placeand go back read more

This little spot on the river is the best kept secret in Tampa Bay. I read another review that complained about the new food and I'm here to say that "Rivers view Thai and More" is the OTHER best kept secret. The Beer Shed and Thai food share a patio that overlooks the Alafia for a wonderful lazy afternoon with a cold beer or wine and great food. Very casual, great prices. You won't find another place as unique as this! read more

This place is a FANTASTIC neighborhood dive bar that is pure fun for those who know how to have fun. I have been here many times, and love it so much I even took my parents and mother-in-law. It's eclectic, down-home, and not for the faint of heart. Located in a trailer park on the Alafia River, the bar has a nice wood plank outdoor deck that gives patrons dock fishing access and cheap buckets of domestic cold long neck beers for a song. Karaoke nights are especially fun, and there is always something (or someone) interesting to see. It's very out of the way, but well-known by locals. If you're looking for a very different drinking experience, check out the Beer Shed. Bring cash, and don't expect anything fancy...or anyone to be wearing shoes. read more

First time here! Good, friendly crowd and great karaoke! Jill rocks!!! Buckets of beer by the river, good crowd and some great singers!

Service is great, bartenders are nice...its actually a really cool place as far as the set up...food isn't very good though...I miss the old food truck people...I've actually found myself going to the new spot they located to on Wednesdays and Thursday's just for their wings and tacos...I think the food was a big reason people came to beer shed and now that they switched to mediocre bar snacks and Thai food it definitely brought them down a star in my book...sorry read more

Ok we have been coming here through 4 owners of the shed eats. They cannot get an order straight any more. Don't know where napkins are, ask for 2 orders get one. Very disappointed read more

Beer is cold and bucket deal is great. Food is outstanding...Guy Fieri should come on by! LOVE this place!!!!

A must see for a very casual /dive bar with a great on the river location. You just can't beat a bar that uses tires as a base for their tables. Lol basic beers with a food trailer next door. Great little locals place. Parking is limited but there is a fire pit on the cool Florida nights. TV's for the sports Dan inside and on the patio read more

Definitely a hidden gem! Such a beautiful back patio on the river. Can't wait to go back!

When friends come to town and want to experience True Florida, the Beer Shed is what my friends and family enjoy.Outside Patio on the Alafia Rivers edge, snack shack simple and inexpensive...Bird watching, jumping mullet and an occasional manatee are just added attractions.
