Information about honey and a small selection of their 20+ sample jars!
Annie Z.

I'm making a charcuterie board soon and had honey on my mind, and was pleasantly surprised to see this specialty store when driving through downtown Sebastapol! We quickly made a u-turn and returned to Beekind to take a look. Beekind is a unique store in that it's both for beekeepers and honey/wax lovers. There's a whole section with equipment for maintaining and starting your own hive, including informational booklets and more than I know about. The other half of the store is arranged to showcase wax carvings, beeswax beauty products, local honeys and serving equipment. I was impressed by the selection of honeys, ranging from sage honey to desert honey to coriander honeys, with multiple jar size options for each type of honey too. There's also a little sampling station with all of the honey varieties so you can taste them before purchasing. Overall the store is bright and welcoming. The employee who was working there the morning we dropped in was also kind and knowledgeable (a beekeeper herself). I walked out with 2 little ~3oz jars of specialty honeys and 2 cute honey drippers for serving.

I am in love with Beekind and all of their wonderful products! They're now my go-to store for monthly honey, tea, and soap refills and I get all of my beeswax candles to use at home and gift from them as well. Beeswax candles are the cleanest, low-tox candles that you can light and I use their special occasion candles for birthdays, Hanukkah and Shabbat as well. They have a wonderful and affordable selection of organic loose leaf tea in glass jars and I can return them to be reused and get a discount on my next purchase! We drink a lot of the chamomile rose. I enjoy trying their honeys, teas, and candles of the month because they're 15% off. They have a honey tasting bar and make you feel extremely welcome to try anything and have a lot of knowledge about honey, bees, candles, beekeeping, pollen, etc. I've only ever been met with kindness and knowledge and after 20 years in business I can see why they're the honey and bee staple of the community that they are!

Pure beeswax candles at Beekind

Such a nice store! The lady who works there greeted us immediately as we walked in. She was very friendly and helpful. We told her that we were looking to buy some local honey and she pointed at the sample bar and told us we can try as many as we want. She also explained all the selections to us. They have a large selection of different honey to choose from, lots of beeswax candles, and bee equipment. I also loved how organized everything was! If you love honey your path leads to Beekind in Sebastopol.

A charming shop full of bee products ranging from local honey to pure beeswax candles to tools for the beekeeper. I was happy to find honeycomb for my salad, a block of beeswax for waxing thread and several candles. The staff was friendly and very helpful in helping my friend select from their wide selection of honey. This will be my place of destination every time I visit Sebastopol.

I had a task rabbit pick up the gift.

Always buy two or three items here. I love the creamed honey for tea. Also it's a lovely shop experience to explore.

Beeswax and candles galore (the beeswax is mostly from Southern California), but most of the honey is local.

I've been going here for years now and they are the nicest most wonderful people who give good tours and have wonderful silly and snuggly baby goats! They give you real time with them and don't have a forced amount of time on each part of the tour - unlike Harley goat farm. You can skip the tour and just hung with the baby goats the whole time if you want! Also can come early or stay late depending on when if there's another tour that day. I get enough time with the baby goats - and I loooove baby goats so that's saying something! Bring a meal if you want to eat and hangout at their picnic tables. I've gotten to milk the goats a few times, feed the adults, be there for a goat birth (just happened while on the tour!), and have all the baby goat snuggles and silliness. Love the family farm, love the folks who run the baby goat tours/visits. Also a cute town to go into after for food, beverage, also wine tastings nearby. I recommend a second set of clothes to change into after in case you get dirty (goats are relatively clean, but they're goats so not like indoor pets. I let the baby goats climb all over me.)

We are a family of six, including three generations - all of which thoroughly enjoyed the tour! We…read morecuddled baby goats, fed their mothers and learned about goat farming along the way. The farm is beautiful and Jennifer is a great guide. Highly recommended!

You'll walk away with a full stomach and some leftovers for dinner. The baked beans were the showstopper for me. Please do not pass those up whenever you come by. The cornbread was dense (in a good way) and super moist. The brisket was tender and the flavor on that pork rib--my God. We came about 20 minutes after they opened. The service was amazing, everyone was so nice. The restaurant itself is spacious and clean. Seriously, whatever you choose, you won't go wrong. 1000/10. Already looking forward to my next visit.

We ended up getting a brisket plate with mac and cheese and yams. We also got the pulled pork sandwhich. The brisket was a 10/10 the brisket literally falls off as you eat it!!! The Mac and cheese was also good! The yams are on the sweeter side! Service was good. You walk up and basically pick your order from their menu. Then pay for it after. Seating is limited outside but they do have a lot of indoor seating. It is a bit on the pricier side, I think we paid over $50 for both of our plates. I do wish the brisket plate came with a bit more! However bbq is in general Pretty expensive. I will say that I will be returning to try the items I was unable to try last time!
