Our chef took the time to come speak with us, recommend cuts of beef and generally go over our options. This was a lovely surprise as this rarely happens. We started with "fall off the bone" ribs and the Hallumi - (squeaky cheese - wish I could find this here in SoCal... if anyone reading this knows a place... please let me know!) We were not able to reserve a table online, for whatever reason I don't know. I rung the restaurant and was welcomed by premier inn (I believe they are connected) then pressed for the restaurant and was able to easily book a table for 6. We made a pre-order as we didn't have a long lunch break. Upon arrival, there was ample car parking and the restaurant is located in a spacious area. There are many tables, and we were seated in the middle of the restaurant at a round table with complimentary beefeater marked balloons. They have decor in line with their beefeater image, which I liked. The drinks menu offers a good selection including baileys hard-shake. We were served starters which was the chicken and ribs platter. This is usually for 3-4 ppl, but we managed to share between 6 without an issue, being all ladies . The sticky duck wings tasted good and I was not expecting that. The ribs were good, but I would have liked them coated in a little more sauce. All the food was presented well and our waitress was nice. I had the tasty smothered chicken melt for mains, but was unable to finish the triple cooked chips, which were seasoned well with chilli spice (upon request). The menu offers a lot of choices, so I can't wait to try a different dish and I think the pricing is fair. You definitely get your money's worth for the ribs and wings combo.
