I am the Intersection of both being a black female from America. My waiter was awful. He was a middle-aged, tall, thin man with salt and pepper hair. It immediately started off weird. I asked him do they have lemonade and he said yes and brought me a Sprite. Ok. Whatever. He was waiting on everybody else and would come to my table as an afterthought. He was personable with everyone else, but with me, it was always weird. I was in there for 60 minutes when I could've been in and out in 30 had he been even moderately attentive to me and my needs. A white guy sat right beside me. He treated that guy like he was Jeff Bezos. I got treated like the help. Even the guy kept looking at me because he saw how differently we were both being handled. Fast forward to the end of the meal. I say to him I want to get this to Go. I had 90% of my fries left and half of my fish. He grabs my food and slams it on a tray full of dirty glasses. My plate is literally touching a filthy glass that had been taken off of someone else's table a few minutes earlier. This is highly unsanitary. I'm thinking maybe he thinks I don't want my food. 10 more minutes goes by as he's helping everyone else and I'm trying to tell him that I need my bill. He continues bringing everybody else else's Bill and And ignoring me while my food is laying up against dirty glasses. Some other waiter grabs the tray and runs off with it. I tell the initial waiter that he took my food. He runs down and finds the guy. And comes back and tells me that he's packaging my meal. At this point, I really do not want it. The second waiter eventually brings me my to go bag and there's no fries in the bag. All I want to do is pay and leave. I'm here for a Film Festival and my next screening is beginning shortly. I flagged down the initial waiter again and I tell him the man did not pack my fries at this point I'm angry. I'm telling him you put my food up against dirty glasses. You left out half the meal and he can see that I'm annoyed so now he's trying to get angry. He finally takes my card so that I can pay my bill. I now have to wait for fresh fries and I'm highly irritated. The waiter was extremely rude throughout the entire process. As I stated earlier, I will never return there, and I'm here for five more days. And the food was mid.

Finally the lightly poached egg w/ mashed celery in chantelly cream was also very good. Our main courses were a fillet of sea-bass w/ artichoke, olives, red peppers and anchovies. The Pluma de patanegra with mashed potatoes was awesome this pork dish had so much flavor that I would have licked the plate had nobody been looking, really great. The double pork chop was very tasty with garlic juice and "granille"potatos. The hanger steak was also really good as well as the ravioli stuffed with "double nicoise", onions, mushrooms and slow cooked ham. Finally the dessert were really good as well, my favorite was the waffle! this was delicious, homemade w/ cream and a chocolate caramel drizzled on top. Extremely friendly, the chef took our order of three bottles of rosé wine and the Mixed Grill menu. The Mixed Grill comes with a fresh salad, bread, potatoes, french fries, carrot/onion pancake, a chicken skewer, and steak. Everything was extremely delicious! The only downside was that the chicken was slightly dry. The Mixed Grill comes with a dessert of your choosing. I had the molten chocolate cake which was to die for. All this food for such a great value: one menu is 14.50 Euros! Happy I found this affordable restaurant in a low key environment.

I feel when you do that's you loose some of that smoky element you get when you grill or pan fry- sometimes that grizzle adds a deep element that can't be replicated. There was no juiciness when I cut the steak--that juiciness you like mopping up with a nice piece of bread or a side dish... the juiciness you get when all of a sudden you eat it all up and you look at your neighbors plate to steal their food. I got the limencello spritz and my friend got the Gigi mojito. Hers was definitely on the sweet side but it tasted like fresh orange. We both were like... is there alcohol in here? There was. The prices were pretty consistent with higher end gluten free Italian, not too bad. The service was so slow. I know we are in France so typically it's slower and more of an "enjoy your meal and the experience" but our table was noticeably not tended to as much as others. For example our drinks took legit 15 mins to come out after ordered them... Overall though, the food carried the restaurant. No air flow inside except for a small oscillating fan so if it's nice enough outside, that's actually your best bet.
