I initially came for the preserved goods (the cider is AMAZING--especially cherry and peach--thank you for the recommendation!) and fell in love with a groovy beautiful vintage style print quilt. This adorable quilt and local treats store is worth stopping by. The guard chickens will watch your car for you as you enter ;-) Easy road access on your way to and from the National Park or Skyline drive. They have a beautiful selection of local honeys, jams, sauces, and ciders at reasonable prices. I restrained myself to buying only 2 jars of honey and a small throw quilt. Quilts here are a fair value and have love supporting local, small owned businesses. Especially for things that are made with care and not mass produced. The lady at the counter will also give you tips and directions around the area as well. Service with a smile and kindness all around! read more

My favorite gift shop in Shenandoah National Park area is in Sperryville, VA Located on Highway 211, this roadside stop has the best selection of seasonal produce (apples, etc.), jams, honey, syrup, and other gifts. We spend 10 minutes in here, but I could have spent more time! We purchased 5 pounds of honey for $28, Peach Raspberry Butter Jam 19 oz for $8.95, and some unpasteurized Apple Cider! read more

Such a fun find! I'm so glad my friends and I decided to stop here on our drive to Shenandoah. The best part was the man behind the counter. He was so friendly and told us all about how his family had owned the store for years and all the canned jams and butters were made from his family's orchards and the whole process through the canning of the finished product was locally done. The store had handmade woven baskets, decorations for around the house and an assortment of jams and butters. A must visit! read more

I guess it's all about trust. I love the taste of this honey! A friend gave me a pint of Pure Mountain Honey from Beech Spring Farm. To be clear, the label says "Packed especially for Beech Spring Farm". I'd like to know place of origin clearly marked on the label. What is the backstory of this honey? Is it from domesticated bees feeding on wildflowers ? Is it from one or more suppliers in the same local township, county, state, or region? Is it all USA honey or a blend from Brazil, China & USA? My fiance, brother and I stopped in here as we were exploring the Sperryville area and became lost (we are not from the area and our phones lost reception). The outside was extremely inviting and there was a nice dog to greet us outside the shop. We went inside to take a look and the female owner was extremely inviting and friendly. She gave us a detailed map with written directions and we bought some tasty treats. I highly recommend this store and we will be back for apple season for sure! read more

Yikes! Easy on the potpourri!So if you can handle the strong smells, this is a very cute little gift shop. They have some really affordable and adorable jewelry! A pair of adorable earrings for $12? How awesome is that?! I have seen earrings like the one that I bought here at artisan fairs go for $25. They also have some nice quilts. No quilting material as my friend found out, but they have some nice ready made quilt in case you're too lazy to make them yourself. There also is no shortage of potpourri and sachets there. But how you can isolate the smells to find the one you want is beyond me. Not that it smells bad, the scents are just very strong. If you have a sensitive nose, I would stay out of this place! read more

We stopped by this eye-catching blue shop on the way back from Luray today. Very cute shop made up of a couple of buildings - one with mostly food (ciders, jams, fudge) and another with mostly quilts and jewelry. Both were quite charming! A very sweet shop owner heated up some cider for us, which was delicious. We also picked up some apple butter, a larger jug of cider, and mulling spices that came in teabags. It was raining while we were there, but otherwise we would have taken pictures with the Christmas display. We will definitely stop by again when we're in the area! read more

I live near DC but drive out to this place every fall for their apples and preserves. Small groves that produce heirloom varieties its hard to find elsewhere. Yes, the quilt shop needs less potpourri, but the fruit stand is genuinely outstanding. read more

Delicious cider, affordable antiques, large selection of jams and butters (sweet potato, jalapeno, the regular apple, and tons more), and a clean outhouse to use. Very kind clerk. Also one of the only stops without a confederate flag, so you should give them your business. read more
